Review 1：The owners were so nice and so accommodating! The room was lovely and clean. We were out in town for the most part, so the room served its purpose which was mainly to rest and shower.

Review 2：I thought the rooms were outdated, the bathroom was really small. But the rate per night was comparable with other nicer hotels in Fredericksburg.

They have a washer and dryer available. The property was clean, safe and a short distance to all things. Great internet connection. Loved parking in front of our room. I liked that it is locally owned.

Review 22：There's nothing I didn't like. The owners were awesome and treat you like family. They put my daughter in the room next to theirs in case she needed anything. The grill next door has vegetarian and gluten free options and main street isn't too far away. They had the ac and tv on and a note telling us how they appreciated us staying there. Loved seeing this, since you really don't see it a lot anymore. We go to the hill country at least once a month to get away from Houston, so we will definitely be staying again.

Review 44：The price I found was for a Thursday & I couldn't beat it! The restaurant next door which the front desk clerk recommended was fantastic! It's nothing fancy, but it was perfect for an overnight trip. I wouldn't pay $95 for a Friday night, $40 was great for me! Don't expect upscale from this older motel.

Review 49：3 gals that work together out for a fun weekend just needed comfy beds and shower and Sunset provided that for a reasonable rate. Breakfast at Sunset Grill next to Inn was good.

Review 50：The forgot us on the daily cleaning schedule, and when we went to the office the managers were very good about getting us fresh towels, and she even came in to collect the trash, and make the bed herself. They are working hard to make your stay nice.

The room had an initial faint smell similar to a swimming pool locker room, but it dissipated quickly an wasn't an issue (and I'm very sensitive to any funky odors). Bed was too hard for my taste, but that's such a personal preference. Good pillows. Breakfast next door was good, although the menu was limited.

Though, I was so tuckered out from all of the walking and wine drinking we did that none of those things prevented me from getting a good nights sleep!

Review 56：I liked the proximity of the inn to the main street. We were able to drive just a couple of minutes down the road to get to everything that we wanted to. The owners are also very nice and helpful. They obviously take care of the establishment as exterior and interior of everything I saw was clean and maintained, though not necessarily up-to-date.

Review 64：It is obvious that the owners are involved in the day to day operation. From check in to check out I had a smooth, hassle free experience. The facilities are VERY clean and welcoming and the makeup removing wipes were a nice touch. Also the restaurant on the property is delicious and gluten free/vegetarian friendly (I have Celiac so this was a big deal for me).

Review 68：The unit I was put in had been vandalized by a dog and still carried a faint canine smell, despite having been cleaned. The beds were also quite worn. I was assured this would all be taken care of in short order, but of course that didn't help during my actual stay.

Review 69：The motel is best described as 'cute', and the onsite restaurant is excellent (especially for breakfast). Staff is welcoming and universally helpful, but there are a couple of caveats..

Review 74：I put cleanliness as a like but have to add that there were minor things not cleaned. i.e. a shirt was still in one of the drawers, and there was small paper shreds by the bed. The blinds appeared as if they were coming loose(wear and tear). Other than that it was enjoyable thank you.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a very nice hotel for a very nice price. Gotta try Andy's Seafood and Grill just a few blocks away too!

Review 81：Bedspread was the type used many years ago. Many hotels/motels have changed to the comforter/bedspread that is covered by a larger sheet so that they can wash it more frequently.

Review 85：The apartment was located right above a restaurant (awesome restaurant). When they opened in the morning (around 7), we could hear every conversation happening below us in the restaurant in one of the bedrooms. The bedding was not so wonderful, but for a one night stay, it was livable.

Review 86：The price was great for our group of five people (with tax it was about $40 a person). It was a very roomy, nice apartment setting and worked wonderfully for what we needed it for. Location was about a mile or two from main street, so everything was walkable for where we wanted to go in Fredericksburg, especially after a glass or two of wine! They have a full kitchen with full refrigerator and a stove/oven. We were not expecting this, but it was awesome! There is a real coffee maker too, but you might want to bring your own coffee.

Review 90：We stayed at the Sunset Inn for a Girl's Weekend, and this was perfect for us, as one of us was on a tight budget. The beds were comfy, the air was cool, and the showers were great! The rooms are not modern by any means, but they have lots of character in a quirky/ retro way. It works. We also recommend the restaurant next door, the Sunset Grill, the food is amazing!
