Reviews for White Spring Manor
Review 1:No real bad experiences except that it was equipped with a rather small TV and after being on for a while, the picture was hard to see. It had recently had exterior painting done and paint was all over the entrance porch floor. It looked as if this were a work in progress. There is no one on site to address any issues.
Review 2:Nice location & large property and room.
Review 3:It was not so convenient to have to drive at night to and from Belhurst Castle.Maybe something like a continental breakfast and/or light dinner could be considered
Review 4:The location was absolutely beautiful and serene. It was qiet, peaceful and we also enjoyed being next to a vineyard.
Review 5:The bed was old, and so noisy that you could barely exhale without it creaking. We were in the music room which could ave been a double room. The divider door was very thin. We could hear ever word that the other quests were saying. They were also painting the front door which we proceeded to get paint on my hands and clothes. For the same price as the castle it was not worth it. I would not stay there again. Very over priced for a poor nights sleep. Side note, our bathroom was down a spiral stair case. (Neat right?) Nope, it was freezing down there and trying to go to the bathroom at night was almost "at your own risk" The Lake view was very far away, no wi-fi, and very little attention was given to the guests. We had to fend for ourselves....
Review 6:It was very quiet and a beautiful view.
Review 7:They never tell you that you have to check in at the Belhurst, so that you get there (pretty out of town) just to find out that you have to go back to the Belhurst.
Review 8:Holes in bed linens, outside areas could use some TLC, paint, whole place looks a bit worn and tired.
Review 9:Very private and quiet, beautiful views from the porch rockers
Review 10:The tv was pretty small... Having a microwave would have been perfect, since there was no breakfast "room"..
Review 11:Loved the spacious rooms !!! Felt more like an apt than a hotel room!!Loved the quietness!! Loved the jacuzzi!!! Want to come back in thewinter and try the fireplace!!
Review 12:There was two burnt out lights in our room and the light in the ice/vending room was also burnt out. They were also painting the exterior so we had noisy workers outside our room at 9 AM.
Review 13:The manor was quiet and very private.
Review 14:No Wi-Fi available at this location. Several towels to be replaced with clean ones never replaced.
Review 15:Beautiful building and surroundings. Room tastefully decorated, spa tub was wonderful. Sleeping accomodations were great!
Review 16:Have to drive to get to Castle for meals , drinks and wine tasting. Old room with high ceilings were cold. Unable to get temp. up above 67.
Review 17:Lovely old Manor. Comfortable beds. Fireplace and Jacuzzi tub nice touch.
Review 18:Stuffs are so nice and friendly. The house is awesome and comfortable. The spa bath in room is very good too. My wife and I had the wonderful trip on it.
Review 19:Needs updating. Very nice but somewhat outdated. Can not at all be compared to the Belhurst (its sister facility).
Review 20:Room was clean and comfortable. Grounds were excellent.
Review 21:We were told we would have a room with a fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. There was no fireplace and the Jacuzzi tub did not work. When we tried to call Belhurst, our phone did not work.
Review 22:Close to town and places to see/eat. Room was comfortable and clean. The area was pretty.
Review 23:Quite, large room, warm setting on lush grounds. Found a wonderful winery just behind the grounds. Loved the history of the manor. Would have preferred a greeting staff with someone to take our luggage from our car and again back to our car. It is an unattended venue. Would most definitely stay there again.
Review 24:No dislikes
Review 25:Loved the location. The view from our room was lovely, the vineyards and the lake beyond. White springs manor is an old charming place with much character.
Review 26:Spa tub did not work. No internet available at any cost.
Review 27:We were upgraded to a king bed room without even asking! Property and building are awe inspiring.
Review 28:We were pleased with the accommodations, services and location. This was truly an oasis after a six hour day on the road. I would highly recommend the SHM for family's or couples looking to get away from it all.
Review 29:Buildings exterior and porches need some up keep. Examples; broken or loose stones on patio, rotting railings. Also stained carpet in our guest room. Belhurst did not have hot water for tea during check in or check out.
Review 30:Building, décor, ambiance, grounds, views, whirlpool tub.
Review 31:Let people know in advance to check in at Belhurst Castle. Very disappointed in Stonecutters restaurant. Overpriced for mediocre food.
Review 32:The room was great. Comfortable and cozy.
Review 33:I loved our stay in the music room. The grounds were fantastic, the room felt luxurious but yet also like we'd stepped back in time in some way. Very quaint. Would definitely stay again.
Review 34:White Spring Manor turned out to be an unusual place. Actually it's something of a spinoff from Belhurst. Belhurst is adjacent to the water, while White Spring Manor is about five miles inland. Still, we could easily see the lake because of manor's elevated position. You have to first go to Belhurst to get keys for White Spring. Folks at Belhurst have varied options for dining, but there are none at White Spring. [The door opposite of our room was labeled "Dining Room", but it was just another bedroom!] That didn't bother us because we went to a Chinese buffet for dinner at a decent price--much cheaper than Belhurst! White Spring has I don't know how many rooms--I would guess a dozen--but there were only two cars there besides ours. We never saw any humans except a young man doing various chores [vacuuming etc.]. Our bathroom had a shower, a toilet and a sink. There was a decent amount of space in the bedroom, which included a raised jacuzzi bathtub.
Review 35:Hotel added $30 on-line booking fee to cost of room at check in which we were not too impressed by - was no mention of this when booked - should be made known up front
Review 36:Accommodations were very comfortable and grounds/view spectacular -very quiet & peaceful setting yet close to town - wish we had another day there
Review 37:No staff on site and extra processing fee for using Bookings.com
Review 38:Feel of a Bead and Breakfast nice area
Review 39:No staff on site and no amenities that I would have expected to be onsite
Review 40:Nice rooms
Review 41:Outside in need of repair
Review 42:Beautiful rooms
Review 43:Too far from Belhurst. Oil based fumes with no wet paint signs. Lots of glass and very dirty. The front patio was under construction and very dirty
Review 44:Thought we had a fireplace but didnt
Review 45:Property was rundown, out of date and in poor repair. There was no service.
Review 46:The property once had charm.
Review 47:The room at the White Spring Manor was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Its location made our stay peaceful and restful.
Review 48:We had a great room with a huge jacuzzi tub! We only stayed one night but loved it and would definitely return!
Review 49:We were one of only 2 couples in the place.
Review 50:We thought we would have a fireplace
Review 51:Great place to just get away from it all!

Review 57:No wifi No onsite restaurant or bar
Review 58:Historical aspect
Review 59:No one available for help answering questions or for helping, no one answered front desk phone, felt like an unwanted relative that needed to be put somewhere
