Reviews for Peach Tree Inn & Suites
Review 1:Staff was decent, not very talkative or welcoming. We heard the downstairs guests talking at 7:30AM. So may be thin walls?
Review 2:It was budget friendly. They had a non-dog room available. Their cat coco was friendly.
Review 3:The thermostat on the heater was a little wonky, so it read about 60 when in fact it was around 75 in the room, but it was not hard to adjust or compensate once we realized this.
Review 4:It's a classic American motel with charm and a great staff located within walking distance of Main Street, where you can get everything you need. If you want more than a single room, I think they have cabins that look onto a lawn beside Baron's Creek.
Review 5:This isn't a slick business class hotel...but I liked it better because of that.
Review 6:Our room was in a converted old house next door. Funky old place like a b&b, but more privacy and half the price. This place is very old, but interesting, clean and very well cared for. It is in walking distance to Main Street so you don't have to worry about driving or parking there.
Review 7:The location was great. Cabin was clean, large, safe, well maintained. Great big kitchen area, comfy bed, bathroom tub was VERY clean, lighting was good, enough outlets. The owners and workers were helpful and personable. Easy to find, close to grocery stores and Walmart.
Review 8:It was a shame that I was not staying for longer.
Review 9:Bed was really comfortable. Proper coffee making facilities in room. Great cable in room (with onscreen guide). Good quality continental breakfast. Staff friendly, and allowed early check in.
Review 10:My favorite place to stay in Fredericksburg. I am a frequent traveller through the Hill Country and have always had a wonderful time at the Peach Tree Inn. Great value and a great location.
Review 11:In the morning, one of the staff at the front desk was very loud. He was recounting stories of visiting Vietnam to some other tenants, but it was so obnoxious that my girlfriend and I had to eat breakfast outside.
Review 12:The woman who owned the complex was very nice and welcoming. She upped our room to a suite at no extra cost and really seemed to care about our stay. She told us about all the best spots in town. The room itself was also very warm and welcoming. It felt more like a cozy house than a hotel.
Review 13:The light from the sign shines into the room. This is very disturbing. You should consider room darkening curtains.
Review 14:Quaint but updated. Friendly helpful staff.
Review 15:Road noise and noisy neighbors in the suite behind us. Could hear them talking through the wall. Would also suggest two chairs in the Queen room.
Review 16:Close proximity to downtown, cleanliness of facilities and quaintness of room. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Review 17:We had a very enjoyable stay. This hotel would be our first choice for a future trip to Fredericksburg. Our room was very nice and clean; and hotel has great location.
Review 18:Great place. Nothing fancy but it was cute and clean. We basically had a one bedroom apartment with a living room and kitchen. One of the closest hotels to the main street so we could walk to restaurants and shopping. Friendly and helpful staff. Huge bargain at $29 through booking.com. Have already recommended to friends and family.
Review 19:Friendly staff, very accommodating. Good location, walking distance to all of Fredericksburg. Room had a quaint feel. Lots of hot water in the shower. Good wireless internet. Good continental breakfast.
Review 20:Only a spoiled-rotten, pathologically whining, miserable loser could find a complaint with The Peach Tree Inn & Resort.
Review 21:EVERYTHING!!! An OUTSTANDING family-owned & operated resort motel. If I could rate it an "11," I would!!!
Review 22:Bright light from Peach Tree Inn sign lite up the room. Recommend room darking shades. Noisy street traffic.
Review 23:Very comfortable bed, great shower and hard wood floors.
Review 24:Breakfast was continental. Not much to write about.
Review 25:Convenient location. Very comfortable. Updated It is a motel, like I remember from vacations as a child. It was more like individual rooms than hotel. Very quiet.
Review 26:Room heater sounded more like a jumbo jet, but it did warm.
Review 27:Handy location in a value for money motel. The two friendly cats a bonus along with covered parking.
Review 28:Street noise in the morning was a little loud, but we were in the unit right off the road, and that is to be expected. No real complaints!
Review 29:Great remodel to the rooms, warm home feel with a relaxed environment and right off the main strip. Great value and wonderful stay!
Review 30:Parking issues, room next to us had a dog that cried all night long, walls are paper thin and you can hear what other guest are saying, the road noise is bad, when maid service came they emptied the trash but did not put out new bags, breakfast donuts were stale
Review 31:It was easy to find
Review 32:Not easy to find our room after dark. But everything great after that.
Review 33:Knowledgeable host helped with trip planning and finding a restaurant. Good breakfast. Excellent accommodation, especially for price. Laundry facilities.
Review 34:The shower curtain and the linner were not clean. The blanket on the bed was badly worn and the bedspread was old, faded and drab.sheets were ok. Didn't want to touch the bed.
Review 35:The room was very clean. The yard in front of our room with picnic tables and fire pit was beautiful at sunrise.
Review 36:Not enough washclothes
Review 37:Staff was extremely kind and helpful to area sites and foods. Inviting king suite with kitchen, sofa, bed, flat screen tv, wifi and large bathroom. Everything was very clean, grounds were nice.Location is not far from Main Street, food, coffee and vineyards
Review 38:Convienent location, close to attractions. Amenities were plentiful and more than adequate. Felt more like home instead of a cookie-cutter hotel room.
Review 39:Room very small, no plugs for chargers, no place to sit anything, stairs too steep, no counter space in bathroom, bed not so great.
Review 40:It was clean, good coffee pot, kitchen good with coffee, good shower, plenty of hot water, location is ok.
Review 41:Was not greeted when I checked in. Was not asked if my stay was pleasant. Was not told Thank You for staying with us.
Review 42:The location to downtown was great. We had covered parking.
Review 43:There's a lot of traffic on the highway in front of the Inn, but the double-pane windows kept out most of the noise, so it wasn't a problem.
Review 44:The fact that it was walking distance to downtown Fredericksburg was why we chose the Peach Tree Inn. It was a comfortable room, and the bath was modern and had been updated. The room came with a real coffee maker, and the breakfast was good.
Review 45:The furniture could use some upgrade.
Review 46:Very quiet and comfortable. Good coffee pot in the room. Very friendly staff with good suggestions on places to eat.
Review 47:What a quaint place. Something out of the fifties but so clean neat. Did not realize it had a kitchen and small living room. We were at one the units in back and there were only two units to a building. Chairs out on the porch. Great place to spend more than one night.
Review 48:Upgrades us without asking to a suite with a kitchen at no extra cost. Within walking distance of shops and other attractions. Very clean. Good continental breakfast.
Review 49:The property was great. Very cozy and clean, great location near downtown Fredericksburg. Loved the kitchenette that came with real coffee and dining ware.
Review 50:When a full size refrigerator is in the room, it should include ice trays!
Review 51:Upgraded to a king cottage across the street from the main property and really enjoyed the extra space and the quietness.
Review 52:Cramped bathroom, undersized toilet and fixtures, questionable design choices. No central air so some areas got warm and would be worse in Texas summer.
Review 53:Lots of room and full sized kitchen/dining area. Close to main street shopping and grocery store. Unique suites which has charm but you might not know exactly what you'll get from booking.
Review 54:It was nice and clean, peaceful close to everything the people were nice. There was no loud parties. Mainly families staying there. Couldn't ask for anything more. Nice grounds.
Review 55:Only problem is the window AC unit didn't get the humidity out of the room as well as a central air system would have (or our unit wasn't working properly).
Review 56:Older, but clean and very well maintained. The grounds are immaculate. We stayed Upstsirs in the building with 8 units. Next time we will try one of the "duplex" cabins.
Review 57:Property was spread out which was ok, just not what we were expecting
Review 58:Very clean and comfortable. Great location, friendly and helpful staff! I made our reservation at the last minute and was glad I could wait to pay once we got there.
Review 59:The decor is a little dated, but everything was very clean and worked perfectly. I wasn't aware they offered a breakfast until the morning I checked out; the food looked good though!
Review 60:I arrived earlier than intended. During check-in, since my room wasn't ready, the staff immediately moved me to a suite, which was really like a small apartment, very nice. They worked so quickly to make an accommodation and made one well beyond what was needed, which was really appreciated. The suite backed up to a grassy area that was next to a brushy area, which was nice since I had brought my dog. It also had a nice little porch on the back. The Inn is about a block off Main Street, so close that I just walked. Nice, charming accommodations.
Review 61:Door to room could use a new coat of paint.
Review 62:Excellent value,, super location. Room was newly updated, small but adequate bathroom immaculate with high end bath products. Quaint like B&B without the big breakfast.
Review 63:It is seriously outdated. I felt like I was staying in an elderly persons apartment. I guess I expected a little more.
Review 64:Overall the place was clean and quiet. No children running wild.
Review 65:Microwave, TV, Refrigerator and Coffee Pot were all plugged into a power strip that had a cord to short so it hung, the plugs would come unplugged and overload and turn everything off . Cheap indoor outdoor carpet not properly installed metal tacks sticking out at bathroom doorway, and entrance door. Sheer curtains, bright sun shines in, noisy old window unit air conditioner that did not cool well. No closet space just a peg for hanging clothes. No outlet in bathroom. Only one bedside table sitting too far away to reach to turn off and on the lamp. Attendant was not friendly and changed the room number 3 times we ended up in room 15. We ask if she could recommend a nice place to dine and she coldly stated she had just moved there and offered no recommendations. The breakfast was pathetic. Boxes of generic store brand cereal, apples, a loaf of bread to make toast, coffee, milk, orange juice (in a pitcher).
Review 66:Easy to find...
Review 67:My only complaint was the lack of curtains. Curtains would be nice! Sometimes when you're on vacation, you like to sleep in, and bright rooms make that hard.
Review 68:I liked how the room backed up to a wooded area, with picnic tables and grills. The size of the room was great for the price, and the kitchen was the size you'd find in most apartments - bigger, even - and came stocked with cooking utensils!
Review 69:Pocket door to bathroom wouldn't close to give personal privacy. Room next to highway which had too many big trucks & noise.
Review 70:Close to main shopping & dining in Fredericksburg.
Review 71:We enjoyed a wonderful stay! Rosie, Brett and Christina were all friendly and nice. We had reserved a king size room but they upgraded us to a wonderful duplex (living room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and bedroom). It was very quiet and peaceful. Our favorite part was the front porch, overlooking a field which dropped off to Baron's Creek. The cool breeze, lack of bugs and nature sounds provided the perfect ambiance for sitting, talking, being. The inn is within walking distance to the main street. We are excited to return to this friendly, clean, convenient, comfortable spot!
Review 72:The hot tub control button panel was broken by some other guest's children and the parts hadn't arrived yet. No big deal, just a very slight very minor thing.
Review 73:Great value and location of rate money. You can easily see the great effort the owner/host has made to update this 1950's motel into a comfortable quaint place. Tops on my list and we've stayed in several B&B's in this town. We will be back!
Review 74:I really didn't have a bad experience, however was highly disappointed that the pool surely did not look like that on the photos online and that our room was a block away from the office and pool area. We were also unaware the hotel offered breakfast.
Review 75:The lady at the front desk at check in and check out was really sweet. When I arrived for my birthday getaway they had a bottle of wine and a card wishing me a happy birthday. Although we do not drink alcohol it was greatly appreciated :) My husband and I Loved it so much we are considering making changes/cancelations for our August trip and come back to Fredricksburg instead.
Review 76:We liked the privacy of our room. Loved being able to walk outside in the am and have coffee on the porch. Loved the porch out front and the big yard; felt like we weren't even in a "hotel".
Review 77:What did I like? Everything!! From the initial greeting from the staff all the way through checkout, my experience was excellent. The inn is extremely clean and well taken care of with a quaint and homey feel. I reserved a king room for my daughter and I, but at checkin was upgraded to a suite at no additional charge or asking. The property was quiet and located a short distance from the food/shopping on Main Street. If we ever make another trip to Fredricksburg, we will definitely stay here again. I will also not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.
Review 78:There was a smell of cigarette smoke in the room and the room and bath were small.
Review 79:The room was freshly painted and very clean. A microwave, fridge and coffeemaker were provided. The bathroom was very clean and fixtures appeared new.
Review 80:Can't really complain. My experience was that good.
Review 81:The location is good, just a little off the beaten path, but not by much. And the clean, and tidy condition shows a real pride of ownership. The staff was very friendly, the room was immaculate, I couldn't have been more pleased.
Review 82:Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, cereal, fresh pastries, toast & jam and juice & coffee, typical motel breakfast but adequate.
Review 83:Location-5 minuter walk to main street. Super clean, comfortable bed, large bathroom, kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave, all utensils and dishes, coffee pot with coffee furnished, living room, flat screen TVs in living room & bedroom, toiletries furnished, hairdryer, iron & ironing board. Cabin overlooked creek and although we were in town it seemed that we were in the country. Great staff answered all my questions. I really can't say enough about this place, wish I had discovered it on previous trips. Highly recommended.
Review 84:Not one complaint here.
Review 85:Super clean, fully stocked kitchens in the cabins, fire pits. Ended up being super romantic but it could be very useful for a traveling family with the sleeper sofa. The bed was very comfortable, absolutely no complaints. Especially for the great price, we added another night and both called in to work because we enjoyed it so much.
Review 86:Everything was spectacular. We hated to leave! It was a get away to relax for ys..and it was so wonderful we gated to leave. We only stayed overnight...☺
Review 87:Need more seating in living room and needs a light on parking space side of building. Parking space was very hard to get into unless you drive a small car.
Review 88:Was pretty clean and comfortable
Review 89:Coffee maker was not functional, mattress on the sofa bed had no life left. Counter or shelf in bathroom would be nice. Nearby to some kind of stockyard (smelly)
Review 90:Nice sized suite room, microwave and kitchen. AC cools when you get there and turn it on.
Review 91:The room was small for 2 people but we weren't in the room but to sleep, so we made do. Plus it was kind of our fault since we didn't request a downstairs room to start with.
Review 92:The staff was very friendly and we appreciated their help. They gave us an upstairs room, my wife has bad knees and was not able to go up the stairs. They changed our room to downstairs.
Review 93:It was slightly dated, but I knew that coming in and it didn't take away from my stay at all!
Review 94:Great staff! I wasn't bothered. There was pastries, donuts, and coffee at the office which I took advantage of on my last day. I got a free bottle of wine on my visit because it was my 31st birthday!
Review 95:We had a room at the back of the property and slept like babies on the most comfortable bed we've ever had. The rooms aren't ultra modern but they are very clean. The mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave were all a surprise. Being so close to Main Street and the Lincoln Street Wine Bar was exactly what we needed.
Review 96:Not terribly comfortable. Cats roam free on the property. Husband is allergic to cats. Though it didn't come in the room, one acted like it wanted to come in...like it had been in there before. Owner should notify guests before they book the room.
Review 97:Room and property were clean and not on the street, back in an alcove away from traffic.
Review 98:We were given an "upgrade" upon checking in (for the same price) and the upgrade (suite #36) was among the nicest facilities we have ever stayed in. The "park" (including the back porch, the picnic table and BBQ pit) behind our room were an added bonus. We enjoyed the "down-homeness" of Peach Tree Inn & Suites and have already recommended it to others. All around excellent!
Review 99:Location to main street was great. Front desk took initiative to move us to a ground floor unit when we got there. Appreciated his sensitivity to our stair challenged bodies
Review 100:Items in the kitchen cupboards weren't very clean. We had to wash all the cups, glasses, plates and flatware before using them.
Review 101:Excellent, quiet but central location. The King Suites are spacious, with a good kitchen, living/dining area and bedroom with plenty cupboards. There is also a nice porch to sit out and enjoy the evening.
Review 102:Bathroom is to small, cable tv has very limited channels and bad reception!
Review 103:The front desk lady was very nice and helpful and answered all the questions we asked!
Review 104:Wonderful staff! Great value for our room! Breakfast was nice. We stayed in room #1 , which has been remodeled. It was very comfortable. We will stay here again!
Review 105:Our only complaint was we couldn't keep on the wifi. We were gone most of the time so it didn't really matter.
Review 106:The fact that we had a complete kitchen and living room suite instead of a room with a microwave and miniature refrigerator. A nice king size bed and double closets in the bedroom.
Review 107:Breakfast was only ok. Carb heavy! Toast, bagels, cereals & sweets. Also, the brkfst rm was small & congested. Only 2 tables in the room and one was loaded with craft items that were for sale.???
Review 108:Very spacious & clean room, comfortable bed.
Review 109:We Didn't like the fact that we had a pool but we couldn't use it because it wasn't heated.
Review 110:We love the location most of all. We walked everywhere and we loved it. The place has a nostalgic aura and I liked the fact that they have preserved the original look. My kids loved playing with the cats in the property.
Review 111:We had a cold shower our first night. The guests next door had used up all of the hot water.
Review 112:We liked the location. Very easy to access the main part of town.
Review 113:We had to wait almost 2 hours to get into the room although I was required to pay for a room I had no immediate access to.
Review 114:Not much. Lady running the desk wasn't much of a "people person."
Review 115:An older cabin type motel with covered parking. Quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and it felt like home. Would definitely stay there again.
Review 116:Room needs lamps. It was very dark Sofa was nice and bed was fine but the overall room needs some major updating.
Review 117:The courtyard was well maintained. Good location to Main Street but just a bit too far to walk. Nice ice machine for all guests.
Review 118:No wash cloths. The window heating unit was terribly loud. Just as we would be drifting off to sleep, it would roar into life again. I mentioned the problem at the desk as we checked out. I wonder if they have any return business if all the units were like this one. The bed, advertised as a queen, was closer to a double. However, the size didn't matter, as we hardly slept at all, due to the heater.
Review 119:The Inn had a quaint outer appearance. The room was clean. Restaurants were near.
Review 120:No dislikes to report.
Review 121:The design of the motel dates from the 1940s/50s with double cabins around an open square with carports between each set of buildings. The carports are invaluable for those wishing to park expensive motorcycles. The motel is within short walking distance of the town centre, shops, restaurants & museums.
Review 122:No service at front desk in evening. Room heated by a blasting heater, very noisy and not all that effective. Kitchen part was ice cold.
Review 123:Bed was comfortable.
Review 124:Some of the features are a little dated and old. However everything was in good condition and comfortable.
Review 125:I liked that the location was very close to downtown. The heat and fireplace were very warm!
Review 126:That it was raining our whole trip. But that's not Peach Tree's fault
Review 127:Walking distance to main st is awesome. And we couldn't get over how clean our room was. A+
Review 128:Questionable reviews. Rooms were very basic, motel like. The floor was vinyl with no rug making it appear like a hostel. Room was cold on arrival and the window heater was noisy - interrupting our sleep. Nowhere to plug in the hair dryer comfortably and only one mirror in the bathroom. Not worth the money.
Review 129:Location was excellent with easy walking distance to the main part of town.
Review 130:The A/C is somewhat noisy.
Review 131:Pet friendly, ample space and clean. The staffs are really helpful and there is free breakfast. Close to Main Street and the place is quite.
