In Lake Placid, The Whiteface Lodge is a 5 minute drive from Lake Placid and is one mile from Mirror Lake. The resort features on-site bowling, billiards, hot tubs and swimming in either the outdoor or indoor pool.
The suites at Whiteface Lodge have an elegant décor and they use natural colors and wood furnishings to complete the style. Each one has a kitchen and spa bathtub. Certain suites have an additional private bathroom.
The on-site spa offers guests massages and beauty services. There are also on-site restaurants, a lounge and an ice cream parlor.

Review 1：I wish there was late check out available. Maybe 2pm? We had to be out by 12 and really wanted to sleep sleep in as we did not arrive until 10 pm the night before.

Review 2：Truly a 5 star stay (lodge style). After our long drive from NYC, sandwiches and cookies where waiting for us in our suite.Very comfortable bed, jacuzzi tub and fire place. Just lovely! Wish we could have stayed two nights to enjoy the hotel amenities and more of Lake Placid.

Review 3：The only negative We had was that you could hear people in nearby rooms (particularly a baby crying) and smell cooking smells from other rooms in our own room.

Review 9：A better shuttle system would be nice. There are only 2 shuttles (GMC Suburbans). Not a lot of seating so we had to wait for quite a while to get a ride back from the beach on two occasions. They closed the beach early twice during our stay for weddings. Frustrating when you only have a limited amount of time.

Review 10：Fantastic resort in a beautiful location. The Canoe Club (private beach) was fantastic. All of the staff were exceptional.

Review 11：Not a bad experience, but a bit too kid-friendly. Would like to see the Lodge adopt a age 12 and over policy.

Review 12：From the moment we drove up to the valet parking, we were treated like royalty. The Lodge itself is breathtaking, the grounds immaculate and the amenities are second to none. The staff worked extremely hard to meet our every need and were extra-ordinarily friendly and courteous.

Review 13：Insufficient umbrellas at the pool. No small tables for lunch. Dinner at the Kanu Restaurant did not please our family, disappointed in the quality of the food for the price. We only enjoyed the Louie shrimp salad. The waitress did not inform us regarding the prices of a half bottle vs a full bottle of wine. We really liked our breakfast, it was excellent! We enjoyed eating our dinners at the Hungry Trout and Interlaken during our stay.The bowling alley closed at 8:00pm. We were looking forward to a family bowling night but could never get a reservation because it closed too early.

Review 25：I used booking.com because of a good price, but unfortunatelly it was a scam!!!! At the chek out I was charged much higher rate per room, I was told that rate is fluctuated, so what is the point to book throu you and pay much more than you expected?

Review 28：We went here for our honeymoon, it was phenominal. Excellent staff, VERY clean, GORGEOUS, lots of fun facilities, and very close to the beautiful town of Lake Placid! We will definately be going there again in the future! We miss it so much! Be sure to check out their amazing indoor/oudoor pool and hot tubs :-)

Review 29：The restaurant could have more inexpensive choices for dinner. The prices there are a bit high in the lounge and the restaurant to eat there. The breakfast included with the room is a very hearty one that we enjoyed each morning.

Review 30：We have enjoyed Whiteface Lodge the last two times we have stayed in Lake Placid. The resort is absolutely beautiful. Surrounded by mountains and so many amenities to enjoy during your stay that are included in the price of the room.The structure is built with all logged timber from the property. It is so rustic and amazingly stunning to see. The spa, the pool, free movies, game room and the s'mores to make over the campfire at night are wonderful. Can't wait to return for another wonderful relaxing get away! The staff is also very attentive and friendly. Thanks for a great time!

Review 31：It was a bit too hot for my wife through out the building. Especially being fall with alittle extra clothes on and all the fireplaces on, the tempature could of been dropped down abit. I guess that is were the "50" comes in :) Just something to keep in mind for future quests.

Review 96：Our second stay here as we had so much fun the first time. Perfect winter get-away: close to excellent cross-country and downhill skiing and snow-shoeing. Skated happily on the ice rink at the hotel which was well-maintained. The little touches are what made our stay special: the games room for the children, roasting marshmallows before bed, the movie theater or if you want to watch a movie in your pj's, DVDs can be borrowed from the front desk. The breakfast is excellent. The sommelier, Scott, was very helpful in helping us find the perfect wine for dinner.

Review 108：The first room was nice & clean & well stocked. The second room was not clean. Crumbs still on kitchen table, sticky glass rings on coffee table, hair in bathtub, blood (or some other red substance) spots on bathroom floor, no dish washer soap, toothpaste in sink of smaller bathroom.

Review 113：From the moment we arrived to have our car whisked away by the valet tothe moment we left, after have been given an hour checkout extensioncourtesy, everything was perfect. No request was too small or too large.Wonderful staff, accommodations, food and atmosphere. A surprise for mytraveling partner, who is a smoker, was the designated "leanto" area where smoking was permitted. Luxury from start to finish!

Review 116：service and food quality was inconsistent. Spa offered discounts for NEW appointments made each day, which means if you made an appointment prior to arrival you paid more than late comers. No need to pay for the extra fees for the Sunset Club as everyone lets their kids run around unattended. Don't bother spending the extra money like we did.
