Review 1：The bathroom fixtures were falling off and the bathroom itself was poorly layed-out-. You couldn't close the door without moving to the side of the sink

Review 11：The sheets were not changed every day, unfortunately. That made me uncomfortable and one of the housekeeping staff told my family that she is only required to change the sheets when the manager tell her to. However, if they are not told to change the sheets between guests, they may not change them and then you'll be sleeping on sheets that another family or couple slept on (eww!) However the prices are really cheap, especially for it to be pet friendly, so your best bet is to just bring your own sheets if you have to stay there.

Review 21：The hotel website indicates a rate of $62.95 with 10% discount for AAA-AARP-Military-Commercial, but it's wrong. The receptionist stated that to get the rate, you have to reserve through BookIt.com, but that still did not workout. When questioned, the staff said that it was a "seasonal rate, that was no longer in effect".

Review 29：Very nice. The bed was so comfortable. Our neighbors car alarm went off at 4:30 in the morning and a security guard was there in seconds, great to know that the security was so great. It was just the neighbor who accidentally set it off but good to know they are so alert. Will stay there again.

Review 32：Cons: Older hotel, closet smelled musty, chairs in the room were stained, small bed pillows, noise from the in-room fridge and the window unit going on and off will affect lite sleepers (I unplugged the fridge).

Review 35：This motel is truely a gem. Locally owned since 1954. Beautiful grounds, exceptionally clean rooms, and friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely include this as an overnite stop on our way to and from FL. I first stayed here in 1965 when travelling with my folks and little brothers to FL.

The breakfast was good and all the rooms are on the ground floor (no stairs). The location is super great if you going to the crown collussium, pretty much walking distance. The staff was friendly and polite.
Review 38：My room smelled like smoke even though it was a non smoking room and I woke up in the middle of the night to a cockroach on my neck. I killed it and left it on the nightstand for them to see.

I left personal belongings in the room while I was out and they called to make sure I was comfortable with housekeeping going in while I was out.. The staff are so kind... I absolutely love Sandy the front desk employee.... I will be back because of her.... She needs the maximum raise possible.... And even then she is worth more..... Don't lose her...
Review 44：I d don't rate it higher due to finding an empty bottle in a broqn bag, hidden behind the iron board, which leads me to believe cleanliness is a little sloppy. Staff was very nice, liked the otger woman in the kitchen in my first stay rather than the one in my last stay though.
Review 45：I found out in my return stay to this location, that the cleaning staff did not do a thorough job at removing garbage left in my room. When I went to use the iron, I saw a bag that contained a glass empty bottle (possibly alcohol)...I was really upset, since I was traveling with my 2 year old..and he could have found this. I did not say anything on chack out, since I was running late. Overall, this incident and the pricing paid convinced me that I will not return to this location as my future choice for staying overnight

Review 48：The room has the typical minifridge, microwave, nice flat screen tv. Bathroom was very clean, bed was clean. No evidence of bugs anywhere. The 2 ladies we encountered at the front desk were extremely nice southern ladies. When we discovered we were missing a remote, they found one for us.
Review 49：We were in North Carolina for a family funeral and had two rooms next door to each other. Two men sat between our rooms on a bench for hours and my seven year old granddaughter was back and forth between our rooms many times. My daughter and my niece are young ladies and they were very uncomfortable because the men were sitting there and talking to them every time they walked out of the room. Our room smelled like wet carpet eve though we could not find a wet area it had an unpleasant smell. Carpet needs updating. Very stained.

Review 55：The rooms are ancient. Very strong odor in room. Rooms need to remodeled badly. I noticed that this motel appeals to drug users and prostitutes. As I was about to enter my room, there was a young man outside the room two doors down looking into the room instructing the person inside what to do and not do during intercourse. As I was leaving to go get cleaning supplies, they all came out. The two females and both men. I did not have the heart to complain to the staff. They had Bibles everywhere and were very,very nice.Later that night I could not sleep because I noticed that the young men that the security person asked to leave the playground area was high as he passed by us. They bumped and partied all night. This place is not for families. When friends dropped by later to see us, they wanted to know why in the world were we staying there. We were told that this was a very dominant gang area during the late evening hours.

For breakfast the biscuits and gravy were amazing. The grounds were kept clean and the pool was a perfect way to cool down and relax the nice hot sun. I will definitely stay at this hotel again if I'm in the area.
