This family-run property offers a rock pool surrounded by lush sub-tropical gardens. Gecko Lodge is set on a 35-hectare farm with a walking trail to the Sabie River and is 5 minutes’ drive from Hazyview.
All of the individually decorated rooms feature a bright décor, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and a private bathroom. Some have views of the gardens from a private balcony.
There is a restaurant with open fireplace that serves breakfast and 3-course dinners.
Free Wi-Fi access can be enjoyed in public areas such as the shared lounge. Nature walks and bird watching can be done on site and the Phabeni Gate entrance to Kruger National Park is 9.3 miles away.

Review 1：I scored low on comfort only due to the ceiling fan. It was a very hot night and the ceiling fan did nothing and made a lot of noise. We turned it off and used a fan we had brought from home.
Review 2：Loved the location, decor, staff. Very friendly and helpful. Very clean and well maintained, good food.
Review 3：The owners were extremely helpful in accommodating our disabled friend who traveled with us. They each went out of their way to meet all his requests and needs. Hats off to them both! And many thanks.
Review 4：some rooms lack privacy. The bed was actually two adjacent twins, and not very comfortable ones.
Review 5：Full breakfast, very nice staff, the pool. The property is situated on a huge farm - you can spend a whole day only there! Location is good if you're on your way in or out of Kruger (not while you're still visiting there).

Review 11：Did not like the poor neatness of the room in general and shower as well.. The ceiling had rain stains and it made the room a bit smelly. No aircon, just fans. Breakfast ends too early: 9/9:30 in the morning (???)

What adds as a bonus is that the lodge is situated right next to Gecko backpackers so can enjoy a drink with the their guests. Thumbs up to this lodge, we enjoyed our stay.
Review 57：The room was nothing like the discription and picture shown on the confirmation bookings. We had no balcony and could not call the decor bright. Bathroom not up to standard at all. The rooms are not sound proof and we a fishmoth in our bed.

Review 60：The dinner was romatic ie.outside with candle lights. The breakfast is healthy. You breath fresh air from the Sabie river. The fact that you can deposit the money instead of using a credit card that's what make me to choose it.
