Reviews for Hotel Andaluz

Review 1:The room was decorated in shades of brown and so was dark. More lighting would help.

Review 2:Staff excellent. Loved the separate sinks and closet arrangement. Lobby was great. I would recommend it and go back.

Review 3:Unfortunately the location of this hotel is right downtown, which means street noise all night long every night we were there. Even weeknights. I'm talking sirens, ambulances, screeching tires, reving engines until 4am. No sleep at this hotel.

Review 4:Very neat hotel as far as decor and architecture. The restaurant is fabulous! All staff was very friendly

Review 5:Rooftop lounge closed at 10 pm which did not so much have a view of the beach as it did the side streets leading to the beach. Feels like an old Holiday Inn with a face lift. For the price I would not stay again.

Review 6:Close to beach. Ten minute walk to Abbott Kinney Boulevard.

Review 7:Although, we have stayed here many times, this is the first time, the bed and room were both too small. We didn't know a studio room, meant full/queen bed. Very cramped. Also our air conditioner was on the blink.

Review 8:We always love staying here because of the ambiance and location. Lovely boutique hotel.

Review 9:I wish we had a brochure on the history . Missed the art on the second floor .Found out about it when we checked out

Review 10:Room appointments - Overall feel of the Hotel- Roof Top bar

Review 11:We waited 1 hour for our car from valet and the wait staff in the teasing on Sunday morning was poor to attend

Review 12:We rent 2 room one through booking.com and another through the hotel itself. The one we rented through booking.com was horrible. The couch was filthy and the chair as well. My 78 year old dad who slept in that room didn't sleep a wink because of the water leaky faucet.

Review 13:The shuttle was so slow getting the casino. We waited for over an hour just to be piced up even though we were asoured the shuttle ca me every 15 minutes.

Review 14:We enjoyed our stay here. The history was wonderful, our dinner in the hotel was fantastic and we appreciate the free shuttle service to the casino. Our room included a pull out couch bed which was actually very comfortable.

Review 15:The vibe of the hotel and music in the lobby was awesome. The room felt like you were staying in a spa. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in, and I got the best night's sleep I've had in a long time.

Review 16:We booked for four people and they gave us a room with 1 bed, When we asked to switch to a room with two beds they gave us a room with a couch and a bed, we left this hotel and went to Marriott

Review 17:The staff are nice in the beginning, but dare you ask too many questions they begin to get annoyed and provide the most unhelpful answers to your questions possible! For example, "Where is the nearest gas station?" Reply: "It's on Broadway." Me: "Okay... where is that?" Reply: "Make a right at the light." Me: "What light?" Reply and starting to sound annoyed: "On Lomas!" Me: "I don't live here, where is that? Can you please be more specific??" At another point, there were several people checking in after me, apparently one of them was paying to have their wedding there, and their room wasn't ready, even at 3pm. The Staff was so rude to them and until the people said they were paying $10K to have their wedding party there, did the staff treat them a little better. No manager ever came out to assist or solve the problem. The people had to wait for their room to be ready. Very poor service! The rooms are standard modern hotel rooms. Nice and clean, but nothing above the ordinary.

Review 18:The lobby decor is cool and nice, the hotel is very clean.
