Reviews for Ranch House Motel

Review 1:The fact that it is a very dated sort of place and so cheap immediately raised alarm bells when you roll in, especially in the evening, in the rain. The house keeper leaves the windows unlocked after he cleans, so just make sure you go around the room when you get back to the room, if you are paranoid. Be careful not to slip when you get into the shower, the contractor exaggerated the drainage slope. But the water pressure is great and nice hot water.

Review 2:The location is very good: you will be walking distance from a few microbreweries and Main Street. The staff is a little dry and straightforward but at your service. The room decor is dated, but the soft furnishings are clean.

Review 3:We were struggling to find something that fit our needs: dogs, young children, kitchenette, lower price. This place met every accommodation plus some. We were very happy here.

Review 4:It was over priced by booking on line. The bed was horrible, the chair wasn't any better. The staff was rude. We will not be staying there again.

Review 5:The shower was not designed for a fully grown adult.

Review 6:I arrived late, after the office had closed. They had a number for me to call, where they informed me that my room was unlocked and the key was inside.

Review 7:I really liked that it was readily available from the highway. Close to an array of restaurants and gas stations. Staff asked if we wished to see the room before we accepted it, as the property is fairly old. It's style was out of date but it was very clean and comfortable. We would stay again.

Review 8:The WiFi was very sketchy, in and out, not working at all for several minutes at a time. The worst was NO COFFEE, anywhere. I had to walk a block to a gas station mini-mart for morning coffee. Totally unacceptable.

Review 9:Comfy bed.

Review 10:Certainly no bells and whistles, but we were just looking for a place to sleep. Worked for us.

Review 11:Very basic room. Found it clean, adequate and easy walking to downtown.

Review 12:Very shabby place, with people hanging around outside smoking. Our door looked like it was a very badly done replacement made out of plywood. Not enough light in the room. Lumpy bed.

Review 13:*It was only one night. *The marketing strategy is clever: The picture in the ad is a picture of the rear of the building. *The girl at the desk was nice and professional.

Review 14:There was no staff available for questions. Information was relayed to us only by text message and when we called. Looks outdated and creepy at night. . .

Review 15:Enough space for our group and a kitchen with a range, microwave and utensils for cooking and eating. Nice area in town.

Review 16:Lacking the feeling of security and privacy. Most window blinds are cheap and insufficient, especially in the bathroom. Various doors in the house locked from the other side with no ability to lock from inside.

Review 17:We stayed in the King Suite (900 sq. ft.) This is the old house that probably housed the original owners family. Spacious and clean. two bedrooms. Two beds. No cigarette smell! Includes a kitchen with some dinnerware and utensils.

Review 18:It's a bit run down. The front door was in a sorry state. It looked like with little effort anyone could push it open. One of the window locks was broken. Security isn't the best for that reason.

Review 19:Great location in a very nice small town. The front desk lady was a nice. Large room.

Review 20:A couple guests were doing some car repairs in the parking lot, so I was upgraded to the apartment/suite--a $200 + value for the price of a single room. A great deal!

Review 21:We requested a Queen non- smoking room. Even though the door had a sign that said "NonSmoking", the room reeked of stale smoke. Strong enough that our clothes smelled of it the next day. And, I'm pretty sure the beds were double size; not Queen. Other than those two issues, it was ok.

Review 22:Conveniently located off I-90. Older; but clean.

Review 23:Unfortunately the heating system is in need of updating and some of the windows had cracks and gaps. The sitting area needs more than two chairs and we wish we could of used the fireplace. Other than that, the staff was very helpful and there wasn't anything that hindered our amazing visit.

Review 24:We were right off the interstate yet just down the street from downtown and the heart of Bozeman. We were right next door to a free bus service that took us all over town. The staff and towns folk were extremely friendly and accommodating. The town has everything one could possibly want and/or need. Even the motel was above our expectations, the suite is seperate from the rest of the motel with a landscaped yard that gives it a large feeling of privacy, despite being just off the edge of the road. The place is topped of with a gorgeous picturesque setting and view of the mountains right behind us, made even more beautiful with the fresh snow fall. The pictures on the site don't do this place justice.

Review 25:Granted it was the off-season we were more than satisfied with the quality of the hotel for the price we paid. Since there was still vacancy toward the end of the evening, motel staff was gracious and let us upgrade to the two bed room house with full kitchen!!! Clean and great location to downtown.

Review 26:No coffee maker. It would of been nice if there was one.

Review 27:The king suite was a pleasant surprise. This I would recommend especially for a family on a budget. Plenty of room! It is actually a house with two bedrooms.

Review 28:there were some bugs in the room, not many, but it was disturbing a bit, trains run near the motel, but they are not loud

Review 29:additional, smaller bedroom in the back, microwave and fridge in the room, quite good distance to north and west entrances to Yellowstone

Review 30:No coffee pot--no ice machine. No shampoo so bring your own. The towels need to be replaced, they are pretty old. The air conditioner is secured in the window with plastic that allows the noise to come into the room so bring ear plugs. The owner really needs to invest a little in his property; or perhaps he can't afford to update. Maybe he is a California owner who is far away and doesn't see the condition of the outside? I don't know, it could really be a little nicer. People with families should probably stay somewhere else.

Review 31:Rachel, the gal who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean. While the hotel is really (and I mean really) basic, i.e. no coffee pot, no ice machine; it served our needs. There is a fridge and microwave. We needed a bed to sleep on and we got it. We spent little time in the room and were just there to visit family. We also were in the best room available (its on the end). Nice Exxon station next door.

Review 32:Frankly, I was a bit scared. It was a creepy motel. For $80 you would think it wouldn't have the look and ambiance of a pay-by-the-hour motel. It was hard to be there. I reserved on line or I would never have chosen this place. The guy next door was cooking over an open fire on the sidewalk in the night. It was weird. You could hear the conversations of those next door. It smelled musty and it looked like it should maybe be condemned.

Review 33:Almost nothing.

Review 34:When I booked the motel from the website the price was much lower, but when I went to motel and try to pay it, the price became much higher. Eventough it was saying on the website that everything (tax, fees etc.) was included in the price, i paid more to the motel. Wifi service is really awful. There are air conditioners on the windows and are not well isolated from outside. So all the outside air will come inside and in the morning your room will be freezing cold. Last, the woman in the frontdesk is so angry.

Review 35:The price is cheaper than the other Motels around.

Review 36:The threshold isn't easily navigated by one who's not paying attention to it's imperfect dimensions. (I fell). Luckily, my pride was more wounded than anything else. Even so, I noticed that the pavement varied in height from doorway to doorway. Not the end of the world, really, but a terrible thing to miss taking note of.

Review 37:We had a microwave & fridge, which was more than we got at the Super 8 we stayed in the night before. It's walking distance from downtown, which happened to be hosting a block party when we arrived. Grocery store just a few blocks away as well.

Review 38:Upon our usual bed bug inspection of the mattresses we discovered huge blood stains on the box springs and mattresses. It looked like their had been multiple homicides on those beds. Really disturbing to see. At least wrap those things in those plastic mattress covers then people won't have to see it!

Review 39:Price was low for Bozeman, Easy check in and no hassles. WiFi was solid and great view from back window. The microwave and mini fridge were much appreciated. Bathroom was old but very clean.

Review 40:Too simple no hair dryer Front desk said they keep getting stollen. Big party next door. Staff broke it up without incident but we still worried about our bike out front of motel.

Review 41:Simple and clean

Review 42:outward appearance of facility is poor, looks like at $30 a night hotel instead of the outrageous $106 we paid; no ice, no coffee, no amenities whatsoever

Review 43:room very clean and spacious

Review 44:96 dollars for a old and rundown motel. 50 dollars at the most. The shower never stopped dripping, mud at the front door, no ice and smelled old.

Review 45:Location

Review 46:Old, run down, not even a coffee pot in room. there was no food at all. When I left at 8:00 AM there was no in the office. It was locked.

Review 47:There wasnot kettle

Review 48:It had a microwave and small fridge

Review 49:No decaffeinated coffee

Review 50:Basic motel accommodations that were clean and service was excellent.

Review 51:Parking was bad and for the money paid for the room I was very disappointed

Review 52:Not much

Review 53:A good motel, clean and comfy.

Review 54:The bed was uncomfortable and the shower was Very small.

Review 55:It was a nice size room.

Review 56:A little run down. Needs general upkeep

Review 57:Rented the main house. Great value & location

Review 58:Very clean for being a low budget motel. Beds could be upgraded some

Review 59:Everything else.

Review 60:Space

Review 61:OK for a short stay

Review 62:IT was wonderful!

Review 63:The only reason they can charge the rates they do is because they are inbozeman, mt. Rooms dont justify their rates

Review 64:Location was okay

Review 65:all of it

Review 66:nothing

Review 67:Staff was inefficient and discourteous. Motel in disrepair and overpriced given the rundown condition.

Review 68:Location. Wifi.

Review 69:Wifi didn't work in farthest rooms from reception..

Review 70:Big rooms, big beds,

Review 71:old, dingy, smelly.

Review 72:Shower/Tub needs to be updated Main light was iffy.

Review 73:Location Rate Clean

Review 74:No as clean and kept up as I would have liked to see the microwave was dirty and paint was peeling

Review 75:It was appropriate for the money

Review 76:Strange environment...

Review 77:Optimal solution for 4 people if You plane takes off from Boseman in the early morning...

Review 78:Shoddy facilities for the cost

Review 79:Ease of access to the room

Review 80:Lack of WiFi connectivity

Review 81:Close to very nice main street

Review 82:Branches against the window scraped in the wind, poor internetconnection

Review 83:Rooms and linens were clean. Easy access to interstate.

Review 84:STAFF, CLEAN ROOM, WILL STAY HERE THE NEXT TIME I'M HERE.

Review 85:Bit run down

Review 86:Good price

Review 87:The bed and towels

Review 88:Run down looking from outside. Door/lock not reassuring for security. As doors don't fit properly guest going in/out of their rooms on either. Side made a big slamming sound.

Review 89:Easy to find. On main drag clean economical. Old mom/pop family owned. Not a chain.

Review 90:No monthly rates. Weekly rate has no discount, so if you stay a week you're paying full price per night. Also, internet is spotty. Also, be sure to deadbolt the door. There are a lot of homeless people that roam around there.

Review 91:Wi-fi and price for the room.

Review 92:The walls were thin, as is traditional with motels. Can't fault the motel for some loud guests, though.

Review 93:This was exactly what we expected for the price. Cleaner than most!

Review 94:I stay here a lot. It's easy to access and near but not in the downtown. The staff is friendly and helpful, the lodging is cozy - the rooms have furnishings and feature from bygone periods and I LOVE that. The rooms are spotless and well tended.

Review 95:Exterior of the motel is rough. Hollow core exterior doors so you do hear outside noise. Older building that has not been modernized a lot.

Review 96:I liked the price.

Review 97:The wifi connection is a bit slow.

Review 98:The place is perfect because we arrived via greyhound, and the motel is just next to the bus station. As a place to sleep/have a rest, everything is fine.

Review 99:When I got there, I expected the room to be paid for. I was tired andfeeling sick, so when the counterperson handed me a slip of paper withthe key I didn't look at it. The next morning, I discovered I hadbeen charged again for the room, and charged their regular rate, not thediscounted rate advertised on your website.Porchlight off and entry to room dark & potentially dangerous.

Review 100:I liked the improved facilities. Clean and comfortable except...

Review 101:The staff in the office would come into my room and use the microwave. It was very unsettling to have someone in my room when I was not there. Housekeepers I expected, but no one else.

Review 102:It was a quiet location because the bedroom was in the back.

Review 103:The outside looks like a dump; we almost left when we saw it. But it wasgreat inside!

Review 104:This place was very nice, clean and almost everything new. We werevery pleased.

Review 105:The rooms were adjacent to the inn keeper's lodging with 2 doors that were locked from the opposite side. This was a safety concern that kept my husband up most of the night.

Review 106:It was spacious, the beds were clean and comfortable and it had a full kitchen.

Review 107:The front door tto the room was a flimsy inside door, not secure.Outskirts of town. Felt unsafe. Left early morning after an uneasynight due to goings on in other rooms. Motel does not have round theclock staff.

Review 108:Nothing.

Review 109:Comfortable and affordable. Staff very accommodating. Small but we were in town to sight-see and visit relatives so it was not a problem. Great for our purposes.

Review 110:Broken tub wall. No daily maid service. Burn holes in bed spread. Receptacles would not retain plugs. The plugs fall out. Poor lighting. No air circulation. Had to prop up bathroom window and leave door open. I did not feel safe until I found out more about security. Advertised in-room coffee maker, but there was none. No wake up calls. Desk closed before dark. Overall, less than satisfactory. Will not stay there again. Would not recommend.

Review 111:Close to town. Free WIFI. TV. Hot water.

Review 112:It was decent. But rate seemed high for a small older style motel. No amenities

Review 113:Cost a little more than franchise motels. Charged $5 for dog. Smallhotel and was quite. Located right off Main Strreet of a college town.

Review 114:It is an older motel but extremely clean, everything new inside. For $45they gave us two bedrooms (both with king beds & tvs), a hugekitchen (stove, microwave, refrig) and a very large living room withfireplace. They didn't get around to putting in a couch. Veryspacious, clean and quiet. They had wi-fi.

Review 115:Too strong smell in the room with small old TV and old Fashion decoration. The worest stay during my 4night visit to yellowstone.

Review 116:Friendly staff. Good rates

Review 117:the hot water doesn't really get hot

Review 118:House keeper is really nice. I stayed for three weeks and they took care of me.

Review 119:Things were very outdated.

Review 120:The shower was great and everything was very clean. It was also nice and quiet.

Review 121:It was a bargain, great value for the money.

Review 122:nothing.

Review 123:It was a correct motel, with a big and clean room.

Review 124:snow

Review 125:Needs to be remodeled. Probably would be drafty and cold in the winter - OK in fairly warm weather.

Review 126:Seemed to be cleaned.
