Reviews for Holiday Resort

Review 1:The bed is really hard, but that's pretty normal in Thailand. Also a lot of building work across the road, but that's not their fault.

Review 2:Great location and staff were really friendly and helpful. Restaurant next door serves great food at a great price.

Review 3:The atmosphere and welcoming staff, who joked with us and made us feel welcome was nice. The front bungalows are practically on the beach front – and a walk of 50 yards gets you to a nice sandy beach (no rocks under the sea) that is nicely shaded by trees. From the restaurant you could see Pang Nga bay and the limestone rocks. The rooms were large and had air-con – and you didn't need the key fob to turn it on so you could get back to a nice cool room. The large balcony was nice to sit on and you could hear the waves on the beach. Very pleasant and while it had the feel of those basic beach huts it was secure and quite clean inside. I recommend this hotel.

Review 4:As hard as I tried I couldn't fall for the place. No flowers, bits of trash everywhere, no charm. A pity. Plus you can't swim at the gorgeous beach in front as its mostly coral but that's the case with the whole island.

Review 5:Amazing view

Review 6:The beach in front of the resort and all around the island are filled with coral bits and rocks for 30 meters in water. Very difficult to enjoy a bath.

Review 7:Awesome view on the islands in front, facing east. Best sunrises and sunsets !

Review 8:Facilities are definitely a bit old, especially the standard rooms we stayed in. Breakfast is free but isn't the best food and there are better breakfast places on the island

Review 9:Incredible view right on the ocean - worth waking up to see sunrise. Located right on the main road so easy access to the rest of the island by Moto (can walk to Pasai beach). Restaurant at the hotel is quite good for lunch and dinner. We stayed in the standard rooms, which are basic but have hot showers and flushing toilets. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Got new water, soap/shampoo, instant coffee, and toilet paper every day.

Review 10:The personal of this residence are so kind and attentive. The residence is located just in front of the beach and you can observe an amazing sunrise if you wake up early. Thank you for all :)

Review 11:Nothing as such, since had a splendid 15days stay at this resort, without any much to crib or complain.

Review 12:Value for Money. Rooms are decent to spend your nights/sleep. Rest of day you are mostly out. Very nice place (i mean entire island) to spend a relaxing time. Lot of places/islands around. Great food on the island including this restaurant. Average 30USD for a lunch and dinner, wholesome and delicious. Resort Staff is good and friendly. Overall ppl on the island are nice & loving.

Review 13:As you can see from our review score we were very disapointed in this property for our 5 night stay in a Deluxe Sea View Bungalow for 1434.20 THB a night. Although this price is cheap in comparison to the other options on the Island and western countries accomodation prices. The property was very expensive in comparison to Thailand, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Chinese and Sri Lankan prices. It was the most expensive place we have stopped at on our 4 month trip of Asia and the dirtiest place we have stopped in on our whole trip. But the property boasts a lovely view onto the Krabi Karst Islands, with a beach right over the road and a quiet environment to relax in. However, the problems with the property could easily be sorted in any hotel or guesthouse so why have they not here?1. The room was very dirty, with stains on bed sheets, dead bugs and cobwebs on walls and windows. The cleaners do not clean your room here, we had to request that they clean our room after two days of bins filling up with toilet tissue. Our request seemed to anger the manager as he gave us a number of excuses and told us we were in a cue. Our room was only cleaned once in 5 days. We have never stayed in such a dirty place, you should not be paying 1434.20THB for a dirty room it should be clean.2. The property is dated which we expected from the photos. But the state of disrepair is seriously concerning. We had a missing wall light with exposed wires and fan that could only be switch on with the light on. The electric shower box fell off the wall and the electrics box was also on show, without a cover for safety. We not only had electrical issues there was a large hole in our wall and on the bug netting on the windows. Luckily we brought our mosquito net to keep the bugs at bay. We shared our veranda with a wasp nest and a hornets nest, when we asked about getting rid of the wasps we were handed ant spray. We decided against removing the wasps ourselves.

Review 14:Please see the other box.

Review 15:The hotel is located right next to a bar/night club, which played loud music through the entire evening, past 1 am. and did not stop even though we complained. Consider another hotel if you are a light sleeper! Wifi was only available in the restaurant/lobby, perhaps to make people buy more drinks. The room was not cleaned at all during our stay and by the looks of it, not even before we arrived. This mean the towels got very dirty.

Review 16:Close to the beach (even though all hotels are in Koh Yao Noi) and the breakfast was ok. The owner was very friendly, but for some people it can be a bit too much.

Review 17:- bungalows are REALLY old, need renovation asap - breakfast was very basic - the staff despite being very nice and accomodating often forgot about our orders or brought something we never ordered

Review 18:- proximity to the sea - the owner is trying to be super nice - hotel had it's own moped rental

Review 19:The rooms seriously need upgrading simply to stop bugs entering the room. There was mesh over the windows but it was ripped so we pretty much had to keep the blinds and windows shut all the time. I was bitten alive here! There is a massive gap under the door so bugs can get in no matter what. There were remnants of dead mozziea all over the walls and our room was never cleaned the whole time we were there and that really should have been done given the path to the bar is just dust and mud. There is a squalid pond in front of the rooms which makes it worse and locals used to make tons of noise in a morning going in the ponds to catch snails. Te wifi is shocking because the staff use it ALL DAY LONG to stream music in two different buildings. Whilst the family were lovely, the service in the bar is rubbish f the wanted to go to bed they just wouldn't offer you more drinks or wait around to take the bill or orders. I'd definitely pay £10 more a night to sty somewhere better because te rooms are dirty an full of bugs. Too Much for me to handle

Review 20:The family who run holiday resort are lovely and friendly. They were very helpful letting us swap and change mopeds when we found issues with some of the ones they rented to us. Reasonable renting prices. One of the ladies also put some tiger balm on my bites an was so lovely. The view is AMAZING! Best on the island. I had fish and chips and the fish was amazing and the duck curry was fabulous.

Review 21:Great place to get away from it all. Food was amazing (we ate at a few other places which were more expensive but nowhere near as good, my advice would be to eat there when you can). Good value for money. Staff very friendly.

Review 22:Beautiful location, lovely friendly staff and quiet surroundings. The owners are just lovely people who make you feel like you are at home away from home.

Review 23:The personal attention might be too much for some people but not me.

Review 24:The owner and family were super nice. The wife offered to give me ride on her motorbike after seeing me walking in the street. They have a good memory and will probably remember your name. Located at the best big cleanest beach on the island in my opinion.

Review 25:For the price that we paid (one of our most expensive places throughout our trip around SE Asia) the room was well below expectations. Maybe if you paid double and got the actual bungalows it was better. Everything felt dirty and like it needed updating and cleaning.

Review 26:The staff was great and friendly. It was nice breakfast was included.

Review 27:Room and bathroom could be cleaner but that's all.

Review 28:Friendliest staff ever, best location ever. Big room with nice beds; bathroom and everything was ok but not super clean. Cattle with free instant coffee in the room as well. Nice breakfast to choose from the restaurant menu included in the booking prize, which makes a good value-for-money.

Review 29:The rooms are a bit run down; the shower drain was clogged with a rag when we came and when they removed it, we found out why it was clogged-it smelled like the sewer;

Review 30:The people were very eager to please; the location next to the beach;the food

Review 31:Nothing

Review 32:The owner was lovely, very welcoming and really makes you feel valued as a customer. Nothing was too much trouble for him and the other staff. The restaurant food was nice and well priced. The wifi was fast and reliable in the restaurant / reception area.

Review 33:Nothing!

Review 34:The owner was such a friendly, kind man. He made our visit extra special. Room facilities are basic, clean and spacious, with tea/coffee facilities and a good, powerful shower. The owner helped us rent bikes, ensuring that we got a good price and a good bike. (There's no public transport on the island). He cared enough to ensure we practiced riding on his lawn until we were happy to get on the road. It's little touches like this that made out stay so special. Breakfast was delicious, a full variety of freshly made food. You can choose anything from the menu, served with tea/coffee and fruit juice. Free transport was also arranged to/from the jettys - it turned out that the owner paid the taxi fees, which was very generous. Free kayaking too! This is the best place that I've stayed in Thailand. Hospitality is unbeatable. We would return in a heartbeat! Thank you.

Review 35:The free wifi is only available in certain areas, not at the room. But still this is enough as you should enjoy the island ;)

Review 36:Free and uncomplicated pick up and drop off from/to ferry. The location is right next to the beach with a stunning view towards Krabi and the small islands. The resort contains of several bungalows with AC and chalets with fan. We booked two nights in a chalet with fan, due to fly screens you can leave the huge windows open during the night so it get cold enough for a good sleep. Also you get a set of toiletries, 2 bottles of water and a coffee set for free each day and the staff cleans your room. However what we regarded as the best during our stay was the staff and the owner Nato, we had a warm welcome with cold drinks, he directly knew our names and always cared about us! He lives the idea of 'being home far away from home'. This was the best service and friendliest stay over during our travels. If you are looking for the real original Thailand I would recommend to stay on koh Yao noi. Also included: free kayaking, Breakfast incl coffee, free wifi and helpful advices what to do on koh Yao Noi.

Review 37:No wifi in room-only available in a local hut area. Double bed-two singles pushed together. Insects in the room all the time. No air conditioning. No mini fridge. No tv. The rooms are located next to a pond which gets LOUD with insects at night. It's just out of the main strip meaning a 25 min walk to the main restraunt area. From speaking to others, it seems like they have two types of rooms, we got the rubbish end, but the other rooms sounded good. When asked to move to what we paid for, nothing got done.

Review 38:Excellent Staff, very helpful, sweet, funny, and will try to do anything for u. Let us have a moped for an extra 6 hours free. Shuttle service to the pier.

Review 39:The Holiday Resort is situated a 5min motobike ride away from the "Main village area", which means, that at least in low season, you need a motobike to get to the next supermarket. At least right after fullmoon the tide is varying so much, that around noon the beach is almost gone in some areas, but still enough time to enjoy the sun.

Review 40:The owner - Natto - is a unicum. Very welcoming, helpful and tries to make your stay comfortable. The furniture is not the newest, but everything is clean and towels, an electric water kettle and instant coffee are available in all rooms. The restaurant offers western and thai food. I just tried the thai food which was super delicious and really authentic.Special dishes like fish laarb or yam mamuang (mango salad) are available, which you often don't get in "Normal hotel restaurants". They also offer different kind of western breakfast included in the price (toast, egg, jam, müsli, juice, coffee/tea, fruits). The beach is in walking distance, the closest one was the prittiest in my opinion. I can recommend that place!

Review 41:I would have preferred WIFI in my room. It was only available in the lobby.

Review 42:First of all, I can't understand the critics about unfriendly staff. We were in Thailand for 3 weeks and in 6 different hotels. But in this hotel, we felt best! The athmosphere is great: The staff treats you like relatives. Of course, the bungalows are older, but they were clean and that is the most important aspect. The view over the sea was great, too. The food in the restaurant is good.

Review 43:A bit worn down but ok for sleep over 1 or 2 nights. Stayed in the room with fan.

Review 44:The staff is so friendly and helpful! Really nice and relaxing place.

Review 45:Nothing to complain.

Review 46:Excellent staff, good english and good understanding of tourist's needs. They also rent motorbikes, changed mine for a battery fault without a problem. Many of the motorbikes are almost new. Food is great.

Review 47:- value for money (then again most of the places at Koh Yao Noi seem a bit expensive in comparison) - internet worked slowly (just to let you know, it's an Island anyway plus we were there for holidays and not surfing on the internet) - facilities are a bit run down however, everything in clean condition!

Review 48:- free pick up and drop off (safes you at least THB 200 - 400) - free kayak (3 pcs) rental (safes you at least THB500 a day) - really friendly owner and staff, very attentive to each request - directly on the sea - uncomplicated stay - breakfast included (choice of eggs, sausage, toast, ham and bacon plus coffee/juice) - clean condition of rooms

Review 49:They do not speak much english and they have no food apart from breakfast, which is also not so good

Review 50:location is perfect, you have an awesome view from every cottage to the Ocean. But you need a motorbike or bicycle to move around. The Island is still a secret and worth a visit, if you want quiet holiday

Review 51:Krabi town as a base for Island touring (rei Leh beach, phi phi, etc.). City Center, pier and night Markets in Walking distance.

Review 52:more variety options of food for vegetarian

Review 53:friendliness of staff good location

Review 54:nothing

Review 55:nice calm place right at the beach with bike rental and everything

Review 56:Location, people, island, beach

Review 57:The stuff/the owner / his sun was great as well as the Ford were great and really friendly!

Review 58:Wifi, just didn't make it to where we were. But not a big issue.

Review 59:Lovely staff

Review 60:Staff were exceptional - especially Nuto and Anita.

Review 61:its fair not bad

Review 62:Staff is very friendly ...they are takecare all evertihing all the time ...thanks a lot ka

Review 63:Nato, the owner, is the best guy on the island. He is super friendly and helpful, he made our stay a wonderful experience

Review 64:Very very old bungalows

Review 65:Next to the beach, great location!

Review 66:- Owner is very helpfull with everything - The view is stunning - Wifi is good

Review 67:Location

Review 68:Best boss of hotel chanat natto narongthip. He best boss of the world.Very beautiful missteen. Super driver nan.

Review 69:No wifi in room

Review 70:The staffs were very friendly. They gave us very warm welcome and explain everything about the island.

Review 71:The bungalows were in a great location with amazing views. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and it was very good value for money.

Review 72:Friendly staff.Excellent location

Review 73:The shower was cold and when I told them nothing got fixed so all three days we were there took cold showers

Review 74:no wifi in the bungalow, only in the lobby (reception)

Review 75:low price, friendly staff, big quiet bungalows

Review 76:My girlfriend and I spent two nights there before travelling to koh Yao Yao . We were very happy with the location on the water. Not much of a beach ( rocks) although a beautiful beach just 2 minutes away on the rental scooter.

Review 77:We hired bikes for the day, we returned them in good condition the next day they said the bike had a flat tire and demanded we pay to fix it!

Review 78:Location was great, good breakfast, free water

Review 79:slow service- disorganized- had to wait long time and ask many times to get a towel. brekfast: really basic and low quality-cold- very hard to find a seat...and a clean table..

Review 80:got a beach front hut

Review 81:The room did not include a TV and fridge as was advertised, and there were no transfers available either. When I arrived I was told that the restaurant was not available as it was fully reserved for a tour group of guests. It isn't a public restaurant anyway. Unless you want to rely on taxis a motorbike or bicycle is needed to get around the island. The hotel charged 250 B per day for bicycle rental and I later found other places nearby charge 200 B or less for bicycles from the same outfit. Breakfast was very average, and the staff served their VIP tour group first but didn't clean any tables for the few of us not on the tour. Wifi is only available beside reception in the "restaurant" which means when the tour group is eating there is nowhere to sit and check emails etc. Generally treated as a 2nd class guest, in contrast to the service I received everywhere else on this fantastic island.

Review 82:This was one of the cheaper options I found. Room was clean. There wasn't any reason to stay at the hotel except to sleep so I saw a lot of the island which is amazing.

Review 83:It's not a place for backpackers it's quite expensive to hire anything including bikes, motorcycles etc but it's a small island. Best for flashpackers or families.

Review 84:The location was amazing! You look out your window and you see the sun rise and the beautiful islands including hong island! Ko Yao itself is beautiful and tranquil. The staff were really friendly! There are a lot of negative comments about this place but if you treat people the way you like to be treated then they will treat you with great Thai hospitality! This place is good if you don't mind bungalows that aren't perfect by any means but it's great if your there more for activities instead of spending nights in cause if you are go to a 5* resort for more home comforts!

Review 85:Unfriendly staff trying to cheat at all times (they booked a taxi for us and charged double the price, they kept 100baht for themselves; they told us we could not reach the small islands with the kayak just to sell the boat trip and it is absolutely possible and the islands are gorgeous....).

Review 86:Beachfront. Kayaks for free.

Review 87:A Badly maintained, over priced hotel, shower broken, air con broken, fan broken

Review 88:the weather was good
