Reviews for Nativo Lodge - Heritage Hotels and Resorts

Review 1:I thought it was too much money for the quality of the room. We stayed on the first floor and we could hear everything our neighbors said including their dog barking. We were also supposed to have a balcony but were placed on the first floor. I will not be staying there again.

Review 2:Traveling with eight year old daughter, and she was aware of a woman searching pornography on the motels computer in the lobby which is unacceptable. Pool was nice looking, but both of us had extreme eye and skin irritation following moderate use almost to the point of having to seek medical attention

Review 3:Conveniently located to freeways, transportation, and other attractions.

Review 4:For some reason, booking made via booking.com was not in the system and it took some 20-25 minutes to land this topic

Review 5:Nice rooms, friendly staff, breakfast from 4 a.m!

Review 6:We found a dead cockroach on the floor. The coffee machine in our room had lids that had been used prior to our visit. In the bathroom sink there were beard shavings. My credit card was charged double, I found this out a day after leaving. This was addressed by the manager but it tied up my monies for multiple days on our trip causing stress and keeping the funds unavailable to us. The price of the room was twice the value of the quality of the stay.

Review 7:We enjoyed the balloon festival and the staff we very helpful.

Review 8:Hot tub was hot but the jets didn't work.

Review 9:We liked the theme. Staff were very attentive. The location was perfect for our needs. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We also took advantage of the pool and hot tub. We would stay again.

Review 10:The ice machines are not conveniently located, nor are they easy to locate. Simply locating some kind of hang tag with the ice bucket displaying directions would be very helpful.

Review 11:I liked the comfort of the bed.

Review 12:When I first checked in, my room had a really funky smell. Tried turning on AC, but after a bit, still intolerable. Asked for a different room. Moved my stuff across the hall, in a hurry to make it to business meeting. Turned on shower to warm the water, turned around and maid had left shower nozzle pointed up to wall and shower liner out. Flooded the corner of bathroom. Got in shower and it didn't drain, so bathed to above my ankles in my shower water. Carpet needs cleaning too.

Review 13:Friendly staff

Review 14:Booked 2 rooms at the same time and yet they were far a part on the same floor. would liked to have been side by side. Elevator was extremely slow.

Review 15:The pool was great. Nice lounge area.

Review 16:Shower curtain was cheap, and water leaked out of the shower.

Review 17:Friendly and helpful staff. Beds were really comfortable! Very convenient to the Balloon Fiesta!

Review 18:noisy! Not enough noise insulation from highway noise. Tiny bathroom. must close door to use toliet. Light bulbs were low power. could not read in room due to poor lighting. Requested additional (second one) suitcase rack on arrival, never saw it.

Review 19:easy on & off freeway.

Review 20:The carpet in front of the sink needed cleaned. There was what looked like toothpaste in the carpet. The sliding glass door window caulk was nearly gone and I was worried the window would fall out

Review 21:The bed was fabulous

Review 22:We did not have any bad experiences. The food was a bit bland.

Review 23:We loved the ambience of the interior and the spacious comfort of the room. Also, the staff are clearly proud of their hotel and clearly glad to see you.

Review 24:the fitted sheets don't stay on the beds. Both my friend and I woke up with the fitted sheets on each of our beds wrapped all around us

Review 25:bed was comfy, staff was very nice and informative

Review 26:Our view wasn't great - but we did not book as a destination spot so I can not say that I am too disappointed.

Review 27:The staff at the hotel bar is the nicest I have com across.

Review 28:The ambiance, the theme and decor, are wonderful. The Spirit Wind restaurant was fabulous. The whole experience had a warm, down to earth feel. It is a unique establishment and we will heartily recommend it to anyone heading that way.

Review 29:The spa was broken

Review 30:The front desk clerk was the most helpful person we had our entire trip. She went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect.

Review 31:There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room. Super basic. Also, should build in USB ports for devices like phones and ipads...very few plugs

Review 32:Location, staff are wonderful

Review 33:The pools was Freezing, hot tub didn't work.and the reasturant was horrible never served us .Bar closed at 8:30 instead of 10:00....Mngr didint seem to care either

Review 34:Location

Review 35:My only complaint is that it doesn't have a microwave, orrefrigerator in the room. I understand that there is a restaurant, &room service in hotel, but if you have leftovers or if you are staying acouple of days its nice to have. If it had those 2 things this hotelwould rate a 10+, easy.

Review 36:Everything was amazing, I would rate this hotel a 9-9.5

Review 37:The only thing that was very disappointing was we had a romantic evening planned to stay in and just be together and when we went to call room service no one answered the phone...it was a good few hours before the cafe closed and they weren't busy at all, we ended up having to go and get take out and it kind of put a damper on our romantic evening.

Review 38:It was in a great safe location and was very beautiful! My husband and I had an amazing weekend!

Review 39:It was a chaos checking in, had to go to 3 different rooms before it was acceptable. 1st one was an oven. Second one wasn't cleaned from the previous customers. We were under the impression that the beds were queen size, but they were 2 doubles. And very uncomfortable.

Review 40:The location

Review 41:Upon check-in the clerk wasn't inviting at all! It was the bottom of clean, a lot of dust near baseboards gave an overall dingy feeling. The king bed was soggy. Not a good sleep.

Review 42:I liked the central easy location

Review 43:the dirtiness of the room and the aged, worn-out aspect of the facilities, e.g. bathroom tub, sink, carpet, etc.

Review 44:friendliness, helpfulness, and understanding of the front office staff.

Review 45:Baby son wet our bed so only had 1 sheet and my feet were cold. To be fair it wasn't his fault or the hotels fault. His mum decided to play nappy roulette and let him roam free for too long.

Review 46:The fantastic Indian decor. Nice room with a balcony. Wifi good. Staff very friendly. Great pool. First hotel on trip to have a tea bag, brilliant.

Review 47:Price is a little high should at least include breakfast, dinner or couple of drinks. Parking is limited also either way we'd stay again.

Review 48:Location, piece and quite

Review 49:Every time we stay here hotel is really clean and room is well kept up.This time we got stuck on the back side of hotel by the pool even thoughI had requested a room in the front, you could hear the kids first thingin the morning, the bed was hard. The tv was old and made a high pitchednoise which drove me crazy. Room 313

Review 50:Staff was not very helpful. Bed was not comfortable. Pillows were terrible. TV was an old fashioned type that did not work with the remote control. The bathroom light was going very dim. In the morning you could barley see when you turned on the light.

Review 51:The price for the hotel was reasonable. The hotel looked nice from the outside.

Review 52:The carpet throughout the hotel dingy and could use a shampoo. The bathtub old and did not drain well. Shower curtain stained and smelled mildewy. TV outdated - bad sound. Clock radio not even plugged in. One bed had nice comforter and other had thin bedspread.

Review 53:Pet accommodations and beds.

Review 54:I was a little bummed that the hot tub and sauna weren't working while we were there....

Review 55:I just came upon this hotel while looking for an inexpensive place to stay with am indoor pool. I had never heard of it before. Boy was this a surprise! We paid $58 for our room but kept joking that everyone else must be paying $200. It's a really beautiful, unique, culturally artistic place. We won't be staying anywhere else in Albuquerque - this is by far the best hotel-for-price that I can imagine ever finding. I also can't wait to recommend it to my out-of-state friends and family. They would love this place!

Review 56:Sheets were stained, asked for replacements and I had to put them on myself, but they were also stained. I am sure the sheets were clean, but had permanent stains and that is just not acceptable.

Review 57:They need to replace the overstuffed room chairs--well worn. That is my only complaint!

Review 58:Loved the decor, location and friendly staff. It was a very good value and we would stay there again.

Review 59:The second room we were in had a dirty bath sink, toothpaste and whiskers in the sink.

Review 60:The front desk was wonderful in taking care of us under our circumtances of our time in Abq.

Review 61:The restaurant was closed except for breakfast and daytime room service (However, due to location all offsite restaurants are within walking or driving distance, of the hotel) and the computer was out of service for the entire week.

Review 62:The staff was wonderful to us the full 4 nights we were coming and going from the hotel. We needed fax service and the staff was exceptional in helping us due to the guest access computer being down.

Review 63:Didn't care for much of anything. Dirty sheets, dirty towels, and a broken sliding glass door that leads directly into the parking lot. Probably good if you're an alcoholic looking for a place to dodge your court ordered AA.

Review 64:They charged $25.00 for a pet. Had I known that I would not have booked there. There mattresses are outdated, my back and neck hurt when l woke up. When we checked in there was a tray of food setting in the hall to be picked up after room service. The next day when we checked out it was stiil there.

Review 65:The location is good.

Review 66:We were woken up by the people next door at 3 in the morning when apparently, they weren't ready to call it a night yet. Contacted the front desk, and they handled it immediately.

Review 67:Very convenient to restaurants and starbucks. Hands down, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on!

Review 68:Located across the street from the Ambulatory Eye Surgery. Convenient. Compared to other Albuquerque hotels, it's standard. Staff was pleasant, and the beds were comfy. It's nice that there is food and a bar available. Food is nothing to write home about, but it's there. If I were in town for a vacation, this isn't the place I would choose to stay, but it worked for my needs.

Review 69:The staff go out of its way to help you. Particularly Wendy, who is very helpful and friendly. It has extremely comfortable beds and pillows, strong wi-fi, washer and dryer and great decor.

Review 70:* I think the walls might be made of some sort of sound amplifying paper! I could hear my neighbor, people walking down the hallway, etc. like they were in my room. Because I was there almost a week, it was a bad experience. IF I ever book there again, I will be specific about where I want to be placed within the hotel. Tip...you do NOT want room 101, 201, 301, 401, 501. Trust me. :) * Parking lot had giant potholes * Hotel needs some maintenance and cleaning.

Review 71:The Nativo Lodge has: * reasonable price * good location * beautiful decor * friendly staff * comfortable bed * large room.

Review 72:First and foremost had stayed here numerous times and really enjoyed it..... Under new ownership and was unable to check in with prepaid visa. Which never happened.... Very uncalled for... Next finally check in get in the shower and the shower head falls off. .. Place is run down. New staff is not helpful at all. Use to be my favorite place, will never stay here again!!!!!

Review 73:Location is great.

Review 74:Balcony door kept getting stuck, and had to sit in the bathroom to use the wifi. Room 408.

Review 75:I loved the hotel decor, and the pool. It was such a beautiful hotel.

Review 76:A deluxe king had 1 towel 1 washcloth for two adults and had to call for more at which time was offered one and when asked for more than one was responded to as though it was an absurd extravagant request. The remote didn't work and the channel guide in guest book in the room wasn't at all close to actual channels/programming; additionally tvs are archaic and ours had lines across the top

Review 77:Should have an more places to get ice. Would help if each room had a microwave/fridge.

Review 78:The rooms and hotel had a wonderful Native 'feeling' to them. The staff were excellent...always willing to help. Perfect place for traveling a few hours in each direction, and very close to the airport!

Review 79:Front desk preferred we did not book with third party and made it very evident, one speed slow! Keys would not work in doors locks need repair. Money needs to be put into dining for wine glasses!

Review 80:Bed was very comfortable did not like spread prefer comforter.

Review 81:There was nothing I didn't like about this Hotel !

Review 82:Everything was great staff, room,& food.. The pool was awesome and hot tub was great.. Definatly book here great location everything is 10 min or less away !

Review 83:The Artist Rooms were a big draw, I was disappointed that there were only a few rooms that were painted by local artist….kinda misleading. The only other disappointment was the CRT television…really???

Review 84:Standard hotel, nice decorations really soft king size mattress and wi-fi that worked well.

Review 85:Need a free breakfast like Holiday Inn Express. Shower curtain seemed to small, water leaked out to floor. Tub would not drain...(repaired next time I used it)

Review 86:The Tee Pee in back

Review 87:There was a feeling of negativity when we entered. The staff was not friendly. We got to the room and our key wouldn't work. I went to use the bathroom and the toilet seat wasn't attached. They did send someone right away to fix it. The faucet in the shower is messed up and is difficult to regulate or turn off. There is only one elevator, so a lot of waiting. Overall, not a great experience.

Review 88:Centrally located with a Starbucks nearby. Nice lobby with Native American decor.

Review 89:Exercise room was in poor repair and left open to the pool so it was unbearably hot and humid; weight machine was broken; no attention to this area; couldn't get a refrigerator

Review 90:Liked having the bar to visit, but it was under staffed and the poor girl bartending had no chance of keeping up.

Review 91:The place was very run down .

Review 92:Very windy nights.. you could hear the wind coming through the windows

Review 93:View from the window

Review 94:Near Sandia Resort where wedding I was attending was.

Review 95:Way too far from the action at least 5 miles outside if town

Review 96:Fantastic themed hotel

Review 97:It was depressing.

Review 98:A rather dark, old and grubby hotel.

Review 99:I just loved the place - the decor & concept!

Review 100:I feel the room rates were based on the Balloon Fiesta being in town

Review 101:The facilities were beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful

Review 102:The rooms seemed like a bad make over of 1970's Howard Johnson's.

Review 103:Great location, staff very nice

Review 104:Very nice staff

Review 105:Our room was by the parking lot & a bit noisy

Review 106:Cute hotel, lots of character Comfortable bed

Review 107:no refigrator or microwave , loud traffic , no signs were ice machine was

Review 108:clean room

Review 109:No heated pool

Review 110:The decor. The staff was wonderful

Review 111:The staff was amazing!!!

Review 112:Beautiful property, nice location.

Review 113:I love this place

Review 114:The staff are very helpful.

Review 115:That the pool and fitness center was only open from 7am to 10 pm. We are early workout people

Review 116:It was nice and clean.

Review 117:Wifi was very weak

Review 118:The interior of the hotel was beautiful . Staff was really helpful and friendly

Review 119:We love to stay at the Nativo, everything is always to our liking.

Review 120:The decor

Review 121:We didn't get free breakfast

Review 122:The price, it was close to where we were going to visit.

Review 123:The car that parked next to me opened their door on mine and left a dent.

Review 124:The beds were so comfy and the motel is quite soundproof.

Review 125:front desk help very friendly and helpfull

Review 126:Room on poolside was a little noisy until 9-10 PM.

Review 127:Staff was friendly, attentive and responsive. Nicely appointed room.

Review 128:Room run down old torn lamp shades.

Review 129:Liked the pool and hot tub. Very Friendly staff!

Review 130:The blanket was really thin.
