Reviews for Legendha Sukhothai Hotel

Review 1:The shower was difficult to use and in my view it is the only thing which the hotel needs to improve on - just put an adjustable head on the shower

Review 2:Excellent location and really lovely hotel with excellent facilities. The food in the restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced. Very friendly and helpful staff. The on site bicycles were also a great way of enabling you to see around.

Review 3:Only complaint is that they didn't have the breakfast buffet every day, but they did provide good a la carte breakfast as an option.

Review 4:I appreciated the location and style; single story with foliage quite near the park. Good restaurant. Very nice room.

Review 5:Bathroom vent draws smelly air from the sewer. Wooden pool deck worn down/rough.

Review 6:Good location, wifi was free and worked very well, pool, dinner was ok (especially as there aren't many other restaurants nearby)

Review 7:For me the hotel seems over rated, perhaps due to the fact that there is hardly anything better in Old Sukhothai. Definitely not 4 stars: no safe in room and no wardrobe, bathroom simple, low water pressure, room much too dark needing electricity at daytime, breakfast repetitive and neither cheese nor cold meat cuts available. Distance to ruins still needs tuk tuk, hotel bikes very simple and no locks.

Review 8:Proximity to Historical Park, pool, garden setting

Review 9:I believe that in my room were insects. Why do I believe that? - We stayed there from Thursday to Saturday. On Friday night/Saturday morning I started having severe headaches and an infection in the ear. What is more, I started having a kind of allergy in my back. I had to go to the hospital yesterday evening. They told me that it comes probably from a sort of insect touching my skin. It could be that an insect is in my ear. I have to see an ear specialist this evening. - I believe that the hotel was aware of the existence of insects in the room. The smell in my room (406) was different than the smell in my 2 aunts' room (405). I believe that the hotel used some spray in my room in order to kill the insects. So I strongly recommend the hotel to review the cleanliness of room 406. Furthermore I ask for a reimbursement in order to cover the medical fees.

Review 10:The hotel and the rooms are amazing. Really nice decorated. The staff is excellent.

Review 11:No complaints. Everything was fine

Review 12:A sense of being in a garden. Every detail beautifully designed. This hotel really brings out the best of what Thailand has to offer. Thailand take note before ugly commercialisation ruins the country!

Review 13:The only thing that you should be wary of is that this hotel is a bit "out-doorsy". We happened to find a huge spider in our room, but reception promptly sent someone to kill it.

Review 14:We loved this hotel. The grounds of the hotel were particularly beautiful. The staff were incredibly helpful and intuitative of our needs. I highly recommend this place.

Review 15:Food was average During dinner, most times the food ran out and we had to ask the staff to refill

Review 16:Proximity to historical park Landscaping Rooms - cleanliness

Review 17:- rooms feel really old and shabby, not the comfort you expect from a 4-star hotel - breakfast was also quite shabby, nothing looked fresh (nice pancakes though)

Review 18:- Good location, 10 min biking to central historic park - Convenient bike rental at hotel (BHT 70 per bike per day, not free though as some reviews indicate)

Review 19:it was a relieve journal other night

Review 20:Beautiful hotel very near to Old Sukhothai

Review 21:Overpriced. Toilet a bit smelly.

Review 22:Nice design. Friendly staff. Near Wat.

Review 23:Found a hair in the food.

Review 24:Staffs

Review 25:Food is a bit bland and some little renovations could be done

Review 26:Location, the setting is very nice

Review 27:The staff was not very friendly and the food was terrible

Review 28:The location of the hotel is very good because it is located right next to the parc

Review 29:close to historical park, pool, service arranging car and driver

Review 36:Great Location, friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast.

Review 37:The floor made a noise when you walked.

Review 38:Excellent service from all staff , especially front desk!

Review 39:Too many moisquitos

Review 40:Landscape is awesome. Location is good. Nearby the suhkuthai historical park.

Review 41:Nothing to comment on.

Review 42:Friendly staff, beautiful settings and very good food. The staff made us feel very welcome.

Review 43:1. Breakfast when not many there was disorganised and poor. When a few people there was a very good buffet. 2. No descent light to read by. So simple to fix

Review 44:1. Best location as a short bike ride from hotel to historic park. 2. Bike hire 3. Pool 4. Room overlooking ruined temple at back...magic

Review 45:Superb setting in traditional style buildings. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Excellent value for money. An easy cycle ride to the historical park on bikes from the hotel. Came away feeling relaxed and refreshed... Would defiantly return!

Review 46:I have nothing to complain.

Review 47:The hotel is very beautiful and well-maintained. The decoration is super meticulous. The staff is helpful and kind. It is one of the best hotel I've ever stayed.

Review 48:No room service, restaurant closes at 9 PM! Had trouble verifying our reservation at arrival, everything else went smoothly.

Review 49:Wonderful pool, nice rooms (deluxe) with good beds. Beautiful surroundings. You can get foot massage by the pool. Can definitely recommend this hotel!

Review 50:Dinner should include more options for people who don't eat meat. The chamber maid insisted in making my bed the way she liked, not the way I like, but this is a minor remark in such a lovely resort.

Review 51:I loved the beautiful design of this resort, its location, the wonderfully large swimming pool, the politeness and efficiency of most staff members, especially the young ladies at the reception.

Review 52:If you like to go out at night, there is nothing around it.

Review 53:Helpful staff. Great resort with nice pool. Location is great to visit histórical park, there are even some ruins on the back yard. Very peaceful. Rooms pretty big with balcony and facilities.

Review 54:Quality of room (beds, limited ventilation); Noisy (road behind the room, early leavers make wake you up due to wooden veranda)

Review 55:Nice location; Swimming pool; Friendly staff

Review 56:Too cold in the room.

Review 57:Location is perfect for sightseeng. The hotel territory and room itself are beautiful and spacious. Good breakfast. The bike rental at the hotel is very useful and goes with great price.

Review 58:Staff could be more show the thai smile, some pillows are hard, the cluster of houses in the middle ( the outer sides are nice)

Review 59:Nice pool, perfect thai massage in room, the local green tiles in the bathrooms, the little river and green surrounding the hotel, thai traditional cooking outside, location close to the park, free good bikes, nice swimmingpool.

Review 60:Staff could be more attentive and smiling, okay for a three star hotel, some pillows are hard and I preferred the outer side rooms with views.

Review 61:The swimming pool, the location near the park, the free and good bikes, the massage in the hotelroom, the reception, the little river around and the wat closeby, the trees around the park, the thai food prepared outside.

Review 62:The bathroom was a bit small and low lighting, and little counter space. However, shower water pressure was good and hot.

Review 63:A lovely ambience and layout. The pool was gorgeous, food delicious, staff very helpful and friendly. I wanted to stay longer and would return again.

Review 64:Hotel is very old. No telephone in the room. I needed to walked to the reception when I needed the services. Compared to the money I paid, it was too expensive.

Review 65:Staff was very nice and full with service mind

Review 66:I didn't like the way the hotel billed my credit card without asking me how I wanted to pay. While the extra cost was not huge ( equal to lunch for two though) I did not get the opportunity to pay in baht. This is a communication problem, not an intentional rip off.

Review 67:Clean rooms, friendly staff, location for exploring old sukhothai historical park, breakfast in the restaurant, and good pool.

Review 68:Room (standard) not so big compared to hotel of the same category

Review 69:Perfectly located to visit the ancient sukhotai historical park that can be reached easely by biclycles (rented in the hotel) Good and charming Thai atmosphere Good restaurant

Review 70:Nothing in one night.

Review 71:Nice hotel and clean with very friendly staff. Nice rooms and swimming pool. Good breakfast and nice massages in the room. You can rent a bike to go to old town, which is much better and just 5 minutes far away.

Review 72:The hotel should regulate the clients better. Happened to be there when two families where visiting and the pool area was more like chaos. Should emphasize with clients not to disturb others.

Review 73:The hotel is in a nice setting very similar to a lodge in the wild. The property is very well kept and maintained.

Review 74:bed not comfortable .In the morning we were walking up by cars with super loud microphone pkaying music or doing advertisement at 6 am.Lots of musquitoes.

Review 75:dinner with show was great and included..

Review 76:The Legendha is a good option for travellers intending to visitSukhothai's Historical Park, located 800m away and easily accessedby bike or tuktuk, though quite far from the modern city. Designed as aThai village, the architecture is pleasant and the pool very welcome onhot afternoons.

Review 77:The rooms were dark. The food in the restaurant was not good.

Review 78:It's close to the Historical Park and you can get free bikes at the hotel. We liked the 'authentic' setting.

Review 79:The staff are very helpful. The location is good which is near the historical park. The environment and gardening are comfortable and well designed.

Review 80:It is a little harder to reach the ruins than advertised, can rent bikesthough it took awhile to find the back road route. This place is mostlydesigned for those with their own transport. Staff are well trained andeager to anticipate needs, but need more language training- a challengeto communicate in english (most of the guests are french so maybe theirfrench is better??) could use heavier curtains as a lot of nightlighting and most curtains let a lot of light through. If there were atuk tuk or other hotel arranged transport to and from the ruins, thatwould be ideal but these are minor suggestions compared to the greatfacilities offered by this hotel.

Review 81:Lovely grounds and rooms, all well kept and comfortable. Staff are alleager to please, despite language issues. Amazing to have this level ofcomfort out away from a city and at an affordable price. Bikes areexcellent if you are mobile enough to use them. Calm place to stayafter a day of exploring the ruins.we found our stay very restorativeand pleasant.

Review 82:We enjoyed the location - the nearest to the Sukhothai Historical park? And the quality of service: 4 stars, swimming pool, massage, food, bysicles for rent.

Review 83:Very limited cable TV selections and weak internet connection.

Review 84:This is a grand hotel that has a beautiful lobby and corridors designed in traditional northern Thai style, a very good location near the night market and other attractions, and comfortable rooms, all of which make this a very good value for the money.

Review 85:The food in the rest was poor, neither the quality or service was up to the price.

Review 86:The setting of the hotel was beautiful, the hotel looks good in the pictures however lacks in substance.

Review 87:Staff is hard to find when you need them, restaurant is pricy andfood/service low quality, you better eat at one of the manyrestaurants close to the old town.

Review 88:Fairly close to the old city, quiet location, room nicely decorated

Review 89:Restaurant close very early as 9:30 pm.

Review 90:Location, close to historical park. Very good value for money. Spacious room with sofa bed where you can turn to extra bed for small child.

Review 91:Breakfast was great, location was good to visit the ruins. Gardens were gorgeous. Good fun to rent a bike.

Review 92:Very poor restaurant. The breakfast was inedible and the dinner buffet terrible.

Review 93:Fabulously located for the ruins, great pool and large rooms.

Review 94:very nice accommodations, pool area, dinning entertainment and buffet.

Review 95:Everything.

Review 96:Mostly good

Review 97:Nice room good pool close to Heritage area easy bike ride

Review 98:almost ok, staff very kind, can relux,

Review 99:It is designed rather for tours. Very unpersonal service. Hiring a bike cost 70 bath when all guesthouses provides it for free.

Review 100:nice pool area very good location, very close to historic park

Review 101:The Location, very close to the Sukothai Historical park. Park Like Hotel Nice architecture Lovely setting Very child friendly

Review 102:good location

Review 103:Thainess
