Reviews for Joseph House Inn
Review 1:Nothing.
Review 2:Wonderful B&B! We were very well taken care of by Myriam and her mother and the afternoon wine and mingling with the other guests added to the pleasant experience. I would highly recommend anyone traveling in these parts to choose Joseph House as their lodging.
Review 3:Our only negative was the slightly cooler room/bathroom temperature after sunset.
Review 4:Myriam and her mom are terrific hosts. Located in a perfect spot, close to everything in Bishop but we'll away from main street. Breakfast and the afternoon wine gathering - magnificent.
Review 5:Joseph House Inn was the best place we stayed at during our trip so far. Very recommendable! Unfortunately we had to continue our journey and couldn't stay for another night. The place is very quiet at night, breakfast is fantastic and Myriam is a very nice host.
Review 6:Myriam, the hostess was friendly, an excellent cook, and an expert in suggesting places to visit each day. She also welcomed our two large dogs. Joseph House Inn is in a beautiful location at the foot of the Sierras. The grounds are lovely, with a pond and small stream.
Review 7:The setting was picturesque and quiet. There were many areas to relax and read or connect with other guests. This is a family run B&B and the innkeepers Myriam and Hilde were gracious and always helpful.
Review 8:I loved the atmosphere, the helpful ideas that Miriam advised for dining and activities to do. Thanks again Miriam. We will definitely plan another trip.
Review 9:The shower is just OK, because water is not very strong.
Review 10:beautiful bedroom, living room, lobby, dining room. When you have much experience in motel and economy lodge, you will know how comfortable and relax staying in this B&B, and even that 4 star or 5 star can not be better than this, these hotels are too elegant. This hotel is just like home. It is located away from the main street, so night is pretty quiet and peaceful. When you checkin, the owner will give you a cup of wine and some snack, and even help you reserve a table in nearby restarant. The omelet, it must be the best omelet I have in my life. The owner made breakfast herself, and gave us big hug when we left. Everything is amazing!
Review 11:No ice machine, no food deliveries
Review 12:Breakfast, and hospitality were phenomenal. Two beautiful ladies Miriam and Hilde treat guests in an unforgettable manner.
Review 13:When you visit the Joseph house you immediately feel like family! First impression! Convenient! First Class Treatment! The host was warm and inviting a sweet women who made the experience that much more pleasurable. My fiancé and I had a glass of wine that the host provided, sat by the fire place and read a love poetry book that was lying around. In the morning breakfast was fantastic and the host was again friendly and so helpful. She sat down at the breakfast table going over maps directions and sites to see. All and all we were so thrilled with our stay and would highly recommend the Joseph House to all of our closest friends and family. Our only disappointment was that we were not staying longer!
Review 14:We stayed in the beautiful rose room, our hosts couldn't do enough for us. On arrival we were welcomed with a glass of wine and assisted with our dinner options.
Review 15:We were greeted as if we were old friends by Myriam and offered a glass of wine on arrival. We chatted with friendly fellow guests by a duckpond in the beautiful garden, a true oasis in the desert. Room was comfy and breakfast was super: fluffy French toast with homemade plum sauce and delicious coffee served by the adorable Hilde. Sweet! Will come back asap.
Review 16:Nothing

Review 19:This is a great B&B that I would recommend to all adults (too quiet for kids). The owners do a great job of making guests comfortable. The food is excellent and they treat you like old friends.
Review 20:Small niggle: the wifi coverage was a bit patchy - sometimes it worked in the room and sometimes we had to go into the lounge.
Review 21:The owners were welcoming and helpful. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and it was lovely to be able to eat outside. We will definitely stay here again.
Review 22:Exceeded my expectations! The management and staff were exceptional. Very knowledgeable of the area and activities to do and very caring about their guests! The back yard was beautiful and peaceful to take a load off and relax. This is a staple for me to stay while traveling in that area. It is home away from home.
Review 23:Although the breakfast was excellent, a consideration may be to offer a more varied breakfast
Review 24:Excellent hospitality and reception by the hostess Very clean and comfortable place Beautiful garden to relax Good restaurants nearby Great location to stop over en-route or to explore the local area

Review 65:Staff so nice
Review 66:It's the best place in Bishop for 100% Myriam is a very caring, helpful, gave great advices for our trip to Yosemity and breakfast is above all expectations! Marvelous garden.
Review 67:Not sure if our room had air conditioner (in the booking it says that it should) but we arrived late night and after breakfast left, so did not need it. At night it was chilly. But if you stay for couple of days better to doublecheck.
Review 68:A really nice inn where are the very nice owners - two ladies, mother and daughter, doing everything personally that you will enjoy your stay. We had this inn on our way to Death Valley and totally liked it. Very nice rooms, big garden. And tasty breakfast.
Review 69:Breakfast is amazing every morning. The staff is the nicest and most accommodating we have ever seen! Mariam was able to get us dinner reservations in the two busiest restaurants in town on both nights we stayed. The rooms are super clean and adorable. The grounds are the prettiest around. By far the best place to stay in Bishop or anywhere for that matter.
Review 70:Not a thing...
Review 71:Everything...the breakfasts were exceptional, Mariam and Hilde friendly, kind, and accommodating, and the grounds like a private park...we could not have asked for more.
Review 72:We were in the king deluxe room. The bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress and box springs definitely need replacing. The sink & counter in the bathroom were only 32 inches high which by today's standards is extremely low. I am only 5 feet tall and it was way too short even for me.
Review 73:The people were charming, as was their home and the gardens.
Review 74:There are absolutely no negatives with this hotel - we can't understand the 4 star rating - should be 6+star!
Review 75:There are insufficient superlatives to describe this excellent Hotel. The welcome by the family owners was wonderful and it was clear that our comfort and enjoyment was their main concern and that nothing was going to be too much trouble to enable them to succeed in this aim. We knew this before we saw the room allocated too us - so comfortable, so clean, so beautifully furnished.....I could go on. The Gardens stunning and immaculate. Breakfast was an absolute delight - omelettes to die for. We did not want to leave and will be back!
Review 76:Nothing!!
Review 77:This hotel was wonderful. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon as a stop off between Las Vegas and Yosemite and the hotel was perfect for us. We were upgraded to a larger room with. View of the wonderful garden and greater with a glass of wine which was really lovely! The room was really comfortable and the breakfast we had the following day was amazing. The owners go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable and happy as possible agreeing wi you a time for coffee before breakfast and then a time for breakfast itself to suit with your plans. We only had a night there but I could have happily stayed for longer and relaxed in the lovely garden and rooms.
Review 78:The perfect bed and breakfast experience. Welcoming, relaxing, peaceful, charming, surrounded by beautiful garden. Hilde, the owner, makes you feel at home.
Review 79:I'll let you know when I can think of something.....

Review 82:We just completed a 30-day road trip--and the Joseph House was the best lodging on the trip. I give it my highest recommendation.
Review 83:Can't think of anything not to like.
Review 84:The garden was like an English country house's, with weeping willows, flowers and a pond adjacent to the outdoor seating area. A short and beautiful walk from the property puts you in downtown Bishop with all its amenities, and a short drive into the mountains surrounds you with High Sierra splendor. Myriam and Hilde took care of our every need, including a glass of wine on arriving and an exquisite French toast breakfast the next morning. Also Myriam was helpful in booking us dinner reservations.
