Reviews for Koyao Bay Pavilions
Review 1:Well, to be fair, if you plan to upload your 50gb of stunning pictures to make your friend jealous, or to download the seven Star Wars movies (which is illegal), you may have to be very patient with the Wifi connection. But, please, give yourself a technology break.
Review 2:If you are looking for a peaceful place, with a smiling and helpful staff, and would like to look after your love of food in a sweet way, look no further. Feel like at home, but far better.
Review 3:Nothing, it was an incredible experience. We had to stay 4 nights and finally stayed 8 :)
Review 4:Incredible location in a secluded beach, giving real privacy to hotel guests. The villas by the pool were lovely, with a separated relax area with sofas by the pool. The staff was amazing too!
Review 5:The pool at mai pai cottage was damaged and our son hurt himself on a nail, but we got an upgrade to an other villa with a perfect pool. The private beach is beautiful at first sight but not very good for swimming (dirt and jellyfish). The sea is not clear an crispy, in a bounty way ;) - sand is not white and clean. Quit a lot of plastic, people stop polluting our seas!!
Review 6:We loved the peaceful nature of the place, the birds, frogs, insects, snakes, lizzards. The champa villa, mai pai cottage were great accomodations for us and the kids (7-9). The service is perfect and personal. Lovely people. Great stay!
Review 7:This place isn't ideal for families with young children because the villas are set back from the beach along an unpaved road, impossible to push a buggy down!
Review 8:Lovely luxurious villa with well equipped facilities and nice staff.
Review 9:.suggestion: being in the middle of nowhere, perhaps a bottle of mosquito spray -baygon- in the room
Review 10:the food is very tasty...excellent, i must say...amazing and balanced flavors. The service was also outstanding. James doing a great job! congratulations!
Review 11:The wifi could have been improved and air conditioning system, holes in mosquito nets. Perhaps some bacon for breakfast .
Review 12:Our host James, and his staff was great. They attended to all of our needs and request. I would highly recommend this place for a 3 to 5 days get away.
Review 13:Very dark to walk back to villa (staff gave torches) but scary for kids passing animals. Isolated area so restricted to where to eat our children wanted kids to play with but none at our pool only other pool where kids weren't meant to be No childrens portions or options for kids just spagetti, so v expensive We needed more life had to go to other resturant near for a cheaper meal for kids and a bit of atmosphere We got a rash from the swimming pool Great kitchen but we couldn't get to shop as only there 3 / 4 days staff could suggest to stock kitchen with basics for a cost
Review 14:Staff were very helpful, It is very private Quiet beaches Lovely villa for honeymooning couple but kids not happy to be on room so far away from us - check villa lay out James was brilliant and food lovely
Review 15:This is a fab place. Loved it. We all adored James the manager so friendly caring and knowledgeable. Brilliant family hotel on less touristy island. Excellent restaurant, fishing, priavete boat tours, amazing picnic. Love love love.
Review 16:Nothing.
Review 17:EVERYTHING! How we were welcomed by the staff: James, the new manager and his team makes everything easy for you. The cottage by itself has everything you expect in a 4* hotel: The rooms are huge (not only the rooms BTW), a kitchen where we did not cook but where we could prepare our own coffee, a very nice swimming pool that was almost private as there was nobody in the next cottage. It had everything my family and I looked for: Space, quality standards, a relaxing atmosphere and an exceptional local touch. Decoration is high quality. The cottage is really a gem. It was the perfect place for a family like ours (2 adults + 14yo,11yo,4yo children) to spend to a couple of nights on this charming island of Koh Yao Noi. The view from the beach on the Pakoh Islands will remain in our memory for a very long time. It makes also this place a gem, really, especially when you are up at 6am for the sunrise, perfectly aligned from the beach with the Pakoh islands. The sunrise at the Koyao Bay Pavilions is a great peaceful moment indeed. Do not even try to eat anywhere else: The food is tasty, fresh, very well presented and prepared almost in front of you in the restaurant. Overall, probably one of the best places we had dinner in Thailand: Local meals at a very high standard. Juices and shakes are divine. The value for money is excellent. Last but not least, the staff was very convenient every time we were looking for an advice: They even proposed us to book for us a van at the Bangrong pier after the boat trip to our next destination in Phuket. We even kept this driver for our next transfer. Clearly, a place we would loved to spend more time where we would go again.
Review 18:Restaurant a little overpriced
Review 19:Very peaceful, great views from the beach, plenty of activities to keep you busy (sea kayaking, mountain biking to beatiful deserted beaches to the north), sizeable villas, friendly staff
Review 20:Helpful and friendly manager. Beautiful, secluded location.
Review 21:The staff were charming and food was some of the best thai i have ever tasted.
Review 22:Nice view Nice food
Review 23:Beach sand is not the most beautiful but landscape is great and verynatural. The downside (for some people) being in the middle of thenature is the high probability seeing frogs in your bathroom but it ispart of the experience…
Review 24:Fantastic villas with nice swimming pool Very quiet and relaxingenvironment Nice preserved island and welcoming locals Excellent freshfood a great service and fun activities
Review 25:The location is beach side, but so are a lot of places, the place wasbilled as luxury and we thought it would be very special especially for£300 a night, however it was definitely not. Its worth about £100-130 anight. There's a long list of reasons not to go, for £300 a nightyou don't expect frogs n the bathroom, really smelly sinks, hols inmosquito net, half the menu to be unavailable, one small fan in the roomthat you are constantly having to move around so you can sleep at nightin the heat, housekeeping go through your things, the pool area crackedconcrete with scruffy loungers and dirty pool water (a scum mark roundthe pool tiles!), the tv doesn't have any channels so you can onlywatch DVDs, and the 'dvd library' is a stack of pirate DVDs inthe office (no a good selection) which don't play properly (theystick and jump). We only watched a dvd in the evening as there'snothing to do- there's no lights round the garden or pool, but youcould sit in the pitch black with a drink and get bitten if that'syour thing, the sunset on the beach is lovely but thats hardly down tothe hotel is it! The breakfast is pathetic (remember its £300 a night!)was a bit of toast and a small omelette, you have to ask if you wantmore butter as its a tiny square, we asked for a pick up from theairport and they didn't show up so we had all the hassle for lookingfor the pier and then hoping we were on the right boat to the island, wetried to check out earlier as it was so poor and this was our weddinganniversary trip, but they wouldn't let us, they gave a sob storyabout being a small hotel and they couldn't afford it, and offeredus a bottle of wine and a massage (we declined the offers as weweren't after freebies), what else...
Review 26:The beach of the hotel is not really what you expect from thailand. It's very rocky and for our entire stay it was very wavy, notinviting at all. As the rooms are semi-open, be prepared to have littlevisitors in your villa... It's not the best value-money you can getin thailand
Review 27:The rooms are so nicely done, with very authentic architecture andaccessories. The bathroom area is beautiful with its own little garden(despite it invites little visitors thru this garden). Having your ownsala is magical, you can just rest in your hammock or have your massagein your own living area. The staff, especially the hotel manager olivieris very helpful and friendly. You really feel like you are on holidaywith people you know rather than being in a resort. The food isdelicious!
Review 28:Location Rooms
Review 29:The location was fantastic and the staff were brilliant.

Review 31:access was down a rutted dirt track.
Review 32:Great location for a honeymoon get-away amazing food friendly staff
