Reviews for Trees Motel

Review 1:Staff was very friendly and helpful! Location for where we were going was excellent. Older motel but they are doing renovations. Had coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. Would stay again!

Review 2:It was great to have a little "kitchenette" in our room that allowed us to warm food on a two-burner hot plate. Had some eating utensils, but no sharp knives or can opener so be sure to bring those if needed. Overall we were pleasantly surprised with how cute and remodeled the place was. We really enjoyed staying in our little room. The only issue is that rooms don't have a ton of insulation so if you have noisy neighbors it can sound as if they're walking right into your room!

Review 3:I had a room with a kitchen. The oven was dirty. But I wanted to cook in the oven and i had nothing to use to cook inside. I had dishes, utinsels and frying pan. Just nothing for inside the oven. Otherwise everything was great!

Review 4:It was all clean. I really liked it because it was cozy. It had a homy feeling to it.

Review 5:The only thing that was bad is the parking. We had a pickup and it was harder than all get out to get in and out and my husband is excellent at it. Just a pain.

Review 6:The owner was wonderful. The rooms were great and comfortable. Owner steered us to a wonderful restaurant for breakfast. Just great!

Review 7:Walls are thin, so if you have terrible neighbor, make sure you have your ear plugs.

Review 8:Good value, room with 3-bed are bargain. Some rooms have kitchens, good for families.

Review 9:The beds were on rollers so slid around a bit. Could actually hear people in room next to us.

Review 10:The room was very roomy, clean and blankets were wonderful. We arrived late but we were in an upgraded room. Great heater in the room!

Review 11:very uncomfortable mattress, could feel springs in my back. Room near very busy highway was loud with nonstop traffic noise.

Review 12:Allowed pets, friendly manager

Review 13:Fantastic, comfortable, good quality linens and towels, real glasses and coffee cups, good coffee, fridge, flat screen tv, good wifi, GREAT bed, lots of pillows, GREAT experience.

Review 14:Not a complaint, but the shower is tiny!

Review 15:Great location, welcoming staff, and the room had a kitchenette. Outside are grills, patio seating, and other activities.

Review 16:Just a minor nit but parking lot is tiny with only one entrance/exit driveway

Review 17:Owners very friendly...rooms were clean and each bed actually had 4 pillows!

Review 18:Rooms a little small. Fixtures and fittings a bit dated

Review 19:Very helpful owners, and welcoming. The rooms were basic, but had everything needed for a 1 night stopover.

Review 20:This is the kind of motel that doesn't really exist in American anymore. The owners took an old property and refurbished it to a high standard. A quaint, comfortable inn at a value price. In Bishop, The Trees is where I'll stay from now on.

Review 21:The room needs to be remodeled but we where informed they are planning to remodel.

Review 22:The staff was very friendly from the time we checked in till when we checked out.

Review 23:the outside road was under construction.

Review 24:It looks like the BATES Motel from outside but it was very nice inside. Well decorated with high quality furnishings. Friendly staff.

Review 25:I marked 'fair' for cleanliness only because carpets, curtains & chairs are very old & worn so probably not that fresh. Bedding & towels all clean & fresh.

Review 26:Location - easy to find & guy on check in was a lovely bloke, chatty, friendly, nothing seemed too much trouble. Things like that make or break your stay.

Review 27:Motel very old and it shows. The room was small and kitchen floor very dirty. Kitchen and utensils dated. Two big black bugs in bed when we woke up. Street traffic extremely loud.

Review 28:Not a thing.

Review 29:Small, but quiet cozy room. Close to Bishop pass hiking trails, nice outdoor grilling area, REAL glasses and coffee cups. AC with fan you can run all night for extra quietness. Friendly staff

Review 30:Very much appreciate the fish cleaning facility. The staff is excellent. I like the rustic ambience of the facility; some folks may not care for that. To hell with them. I like it, but then again, I'm 'old school'.

Review 31:The latch on the bathroom window was broken...security issue. Please fix.

Review 32:Very clean room and comfortable beds. Three beds in our room, perfect for my family of 6. Terrific value!

Review 33:The price and the layout. My group would assemble beneath the big cottenwoods on the Bar-B-Q patio mornings and way into the night. Management were calm, friendly and welcoming. Our unit was clean and tidy.

Review 34:The chair in room 106 was stained and disgusting. Needs to be replaced. Smelled like something died outside our door. The parking lot is difficult to exit. The guy who checked us in was too chatty while people waited in line.

Review 35:The picnic area was nice. Nice kitchen.

Review 36:Manager was extremely nice and helpful, room was perfectly adequate, quiet location even though on a busy daytime street. Off the main Highway, but close to everthing, perfect!

Review 37:Shower is awful. It is super tiny and water springs from it like jet , very uncomfortable to take shower. Couldn't connect to WIFI at the evening ,in the morning seems to work . You will here people going back and forth in the morning.

Review 38:Beautiful area surrounded with snow mountains, on the way to Death Valley. There is tea pot in room. At night relatively quite.

Review 39:I have not stayed in a motel for probably 40 years, so this was a like a new experience for me. Bruce, the manager and I had spoken on the phone several times before our arrival. I liked him immediately on the phone and even more so when we met. We had a "glitch" in our reservation and Bruce came thru for us. The staff is great and ready for any and all requirements or emergencies. We would definitely consider staying there again if the opportunity presents itself. Fun Trip!

Review 40:you'll have a good sleep there, not the standard motel room it feels more like home, the staff is great they allowed us to check in late at night though it was not possible

Review 41:Missing a bbq and really would have been convenient with a small stove in the kitchen units.

Review 42:The proximity to fishing and amenities in town all walk able with a shuttle bus if needed.

Review 43:There Is a courtyard out front with a grill and patio set, that was nice. Until a group of 8-10 people stayed out there drinking and making loud noise until 4:30 in the morning!

Review 44:The room was small, but very clean and nice.

Review 45:The only downsides of our stay were the parking, which was kinda small, the TV remote that didn't have batteries and the coffee which still had some coffee from previous costumers. All the rest was really nice.

Review 46:Everything was just fine with the room. Beds were clean, bathroom was as well. We arrived very late in a very cold night. The staff called us in the beginning of the evening, as we confirmed we would arrive late, they let our room open with the heater on, which was heaven by the time we arrived.

Review 47:Toilet screamed every time you flushed it - The shower head leaked all night long making the floor wet not to mention the noise- road traffic noise was loud- front desk person was drunk and unable to perform their duties.

Review 48:Beds were okay

Review 49:The carpet and room were not very clean. The coffee maker had not been cleaned from the previous use. The hair dryer was missing and the security locks had been removed.

Review 50:The staff at check in were friendly and welcoming and the place has an overall charm.

Review 51:The room was quite dusty, the isolation in the bathroom was weak so the bathroom stayed freezing cold. The motel is a bit away from the main street but it's okay when you have a car.

Review 52:Good value for money for one night, nice and warm room with cosy duvet.

Review 53:Walls are a wee bit thin.

Review 54:The bed and linens were very cozy. Walking distance to town, we walked to dinner every night. Nice yard area for our dog :-)

Review 55:too much cleaner smell gave me a headache. had to open the and put the fan on, the too noisy outside, so closed the door and put the air conditioner on.

Review 56:clean, comfortable for the money

Review 57:This place is terrible with super noisy. It locates by the busy street. The facility is too old, and I even can't open or close window. The refrigerator has weird sound every minute. The next room was extremely loud talking and laughing until 3:20am. This place is the worst motel I ever see.

Review 58:none

Review 59:Localization is perfect : between Death Valley and Yosemite (even if east road to Yosemite is closed from october to april or may). Warm welcome and good informations to find a restaurant and other facilites in town

Review 60:When we got in the room, smelled a little like humidity (not too much, but you can notice it). Also the shower is small in case you are a very big person that can be uncomfortable

Review 61:The room was good, it offers a good quality sleep and staff is great, very kind and helpful. Is located in a very quiet place and other travelers go to sleep early

Review 62:Motel is from another era, a bit drab, and could use a little updating and TLC to make it sparkle a bit more.

Review 63:The hotel was convenient, budget worthy, and just comfortable enough for an overnight stay. Room was adequately furnished. No complaints.

Review 64:Small room & bath Dated furniture $100.00 price not a good value No breakfast Porch unkept

Review 65:Cleanliness Amenities Flat Screen TV Comfortable bed Quiet location Nice check-in

Review 66:clean, easy to find, good location, excellent staff, great value for money, great free wi-fi. perfect for our overnight stay as part of our 2 weeks road trip

Review 67:Noise from other travelers due to thin walls, and showering early in the a.m. The other visitors are possibly fishermen, so early rise is expected I guess.

Review 68:The room, bathroom and kitchen are decorated with modern and tasteful colors and accessories. Comfortable beds and linens. Modern faucets in kitchen and bathroom.

Review 69:With just a little elbow grease, the place could be fixed up a bit. For instance, paint peeling off of bathroom walls, tiles worn out.

Review 70:The young lady working there (who also lives there) was just as sweet as she could be. The motel is very cute, small, homey. Bed was comfortable, room was quiet.

Review 71:Parking was a little tight, but fine.

Review 72:The upgrades in the room made all the difference. It was a quiet location with a beautiful setting. Nice change from a chain hotel. I will tell all my friends.

Review 73:Needs major upgrade. AC was way up near the ceiling so had to stand up on the bed to adjust it. Shower handle broke off so only had hot water, and shower head was not adjustable. Fridge froze all my food...

Review 74:great location, off the main street so little traffic noise

Review 75:Carpets were really dirty and staff said they're hard to keep clean with fisherman and dirty shoes in motel

Review 76:Clean rooms and extremely friendly staff

Review 77:The office closes at 10pm and doesn't open till 8am. Next morning. Seems that you will not get service when the office is closed. Not sure what happens if you arrive after 10- we got there barely by 10. Also, their tubs seemed old. Also the motel exterior could imply a nasty motel but the interior is quite nice.

Review 78:The beds are nice and nice glassware, coffee, and see some updates in the bathroom.

Review 79:we came 7 family members - took 2 rooms , they gave us rooms with extra bad (connected rooms) - it was great , also they have a place to cook outside and the atmospheric is great we would come again

Review 80:The room we stayed in was a bit cramped, and the bathroom small, but it was one of the smaller rooms and was not really a hassle.

Review 81:Reminded me off old-school roadside motels I stayed in when I was kid back in the 70s... Was comfortable with some modern amenities and the staff were friendly

Review 82:The bed was not comfy, there was a screen missing so we could not leave the window open over night. The wi-fi is not dependable from room number 107.

Review 83:The room was very nice, older but remodeled. The room met our needs for a night. Having the kitchen was great. One of the pots was badly scarred so we asked for a different one and they provided it right away.

Review 84:Everyone was nice and helpful.. The bathroom had the original vintage look and feel and the beds and pillows were really cozy. Our little dog loved it and being able to walk close by the tree areas :)

Review 85:Dirty, Window Air very poor, had to open back window to draw air into that room and that did not work. The floor ran down hill, yes uneven. Old, no pool. Lamp in bedroom did not work. The bed was the best asset, you could sleep if the heat did not get to you.

Review 86:Parking lot is a bit tight, but not much can be done about it because of the limited space. Not sure why there are signs that state to park "head-in," because it would be a lot easier getting out of the lot if we could back into the spaces. We had a unit close to Line Street, and there was lots of early morning traffic noise on a weekday; Line Street seems to be a major through-fare.

Review 87:This is a simple, quaint motel. The rooms are small, and therefore the beds are double beds so that two beds can fit in one room. There was a small fridge & microwave in the room, along with a flat panel TV. A very adequate wall-mounted air conditioning unit. There is a place outside where you can clean your fish (for you fisherman), and a large, shady outdoor area with a BBQ grill and patio chairs where you can relax and/or have a smoke. If you want to sleep in, make sure to close the bathroom door before you go to bed so the light through the window doesn't wake you. WiFi is adequate, but the signal strength is a bit weak on the outlying rooms.

Review 88:Stained fabric desk chair in the room needs to be replaced. The rest of the room was clean so the condition of the chair was really noticeable. The manager's father who was running the front desk at the time, needs a bit of personality.

Review 89:Simple but comfortable and clean. We like supporting local businesses rather than big national chains so this fit the bill. Quiet location and close enough to walk down to the main street.

Review 90:Poor internet, older carpet and furnishings, toilet.

Review 91:Decent value and cleanliness. Great hot water and pressure. Managers tried to fix internet signal.

Review 92:Very dirty carpet and chair. Pictures are much too flattering. Very depressing room and bathroom. Very close to the road, so noisy. Absolutely not worth the price we paid. You better stay at a big chain hotel as this one lack the charm of a smaller one.

Review 93:Clean & fluffy towels Good shower Excellent internet

Review 94:Room needed an overall deep cleaning. Air conditioner didn't work properly. Very little toilet tissue. Washcloth was dirty. Staff didn't answer phone when called.

Review 95:Beds were clean

Review 96:No negatives.

Review 97:Not sure what to expect driving through this area to get to Las Vegas but were pleasantly surprised. Room was clean, nicely appointed with fridge and microwave plus the most comfortable beds. Highly recommended. Don't hesitate in staying. There is a 24 hour McD's nearby.

Review 98:Frigerator microwave

Review 99:The bed could be better.

Review 100:The gentleman at the front desk was super accommodating - one of the best I've ever encountered.

Review 101:Bathroom freezing cold at night.

Review 102:Location, friendly staff, parking.

Review 103:Facility is outdated.

Review 104:Nice staff.

Review 105:The water could've been hotter...

Review 106:The room was nice, clean, and warm! And there was hot chocolate in the room. :)

Review 107:Good value. Nice kitchenette with frig. Clean upgraded bath. Easy close parking. Good location near center of town.

Review 108:Friendly and welcoming. The rooms are homey. I was overall very satisfied with the stay.

Review 109:Very friendly owners and lovely room.

Review 110:Could hear the traffic all night.

Review 111:Very cute and homey!

Review 112:The room, felt like home....not your typical motel

Review 113:The beds on wheels. They moved everytime I got out of beds.

Review 114:Staff responsive to request. Quiet rooms, no wild parties.

Review 115:Shower curtain could use replacing or scrubbing

Review 116:Solitude, price, and location is great

Review 117:Bed needed more blankets but I brought my own.

Review 118:Comfortable, quiet, clean, reasonable rate, friendly office person.

Review 119:Toilet seats clean but need repair!

Review 120:Very personable front desk. Cozy feel.

Review 121:staff cleanliness proximity

Review 122:Good mgmnt and friendly

Review 123:Very homey feeling

Review 124:Nice, friendly, helpful staff. Good location.

Review 125:clean older property, a down home kind of place. not a five star property but OK place
