Reviews for Creekside Inn - Bishop
Review 1:It was very pretty and comfortable. The rooms were large. The staff were not only friendly but helpful. The room was very clean and the beds were outstanding.
Review 2:We loved having a separate entrance/exit in our ground floor room. The Inn is quiet, clean, modern with amazing staff and the best pillows we've ever experienced in a hotel! Breakfast is simply awesome, and how many hotels offer hot soup and cookies in the evening?!
Review 3:Only one negative- no greeting at arrival. The receptionist continued to talk on the phone without any acknowledgement to us for the remainder of her call. A new staff member came out to reception a few minutes later, quite a few, and the new girl greeted us.
Review 4:Great room and breakfast
Review 5:No bad experience but they may consider a few rooms strictly for pets. We have a lot of friends that travel from NoCal-SoCal w a dog. We don't have any pets but just a suggestion!
Review 6:Great hotel!! We were pleasantly surprised how nice the place was!!
Review 7:What's not to like???
Review 8:Everything. Very clean and beautiful. Loved your creek side and buffet breakfast. All of those employees that we came in contact with were very polite and professional.
Review 9:My biggest complaint is that the lighting is too dim in the rooms. Very difficult to see. Would be nice if you had a bar and restaurant
Review 10:Location and close proximity to bowling alley restaurant.
Review 11:Overnight stay on the way from SF to Yosemite. Excellent rooms very clean and tidy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and nice selection of foods available Plenty of places locally to eat in the evening as well
Review 12:Just the Price was too high compared to the other places we stayed at on this trip.
Review 13:Clean with good breakfast. It was about the quality we are use to in a Fairfield Inn or Comfort Inn so the price was too high for what we got.
Review 14:Large comfortable room and helpful staff. Ideal for a night's accommodation on our way to YosemiteNationalPark. Also just two doors down from Schatt's Bakery - what an experience!
Review 15:My only suggestion would be to re-stain wooden tables, etc. They looked very worn, scratched. This would be an easy solution.
Review 16:Friendliness of staff, breakfast, beautiful grounds
Review 17:One of the most beautiful Inns we've ever stayed in! A big-time surprise for such a tiny (but fun and friendly) town! Besides the very classy room, the Creek and outside patios for viewing and relaxing is superb= top notch breakfast.
Review 18:THE LIFT!! One floor to go up, no stairs and the worst lift (elevator) I have ever encountered. All guests were complaining!
Review 19:Really nice hotel and pool. Good breakfast. Cookies! Bishop relaxed. Good local restaurants.
Review 20:This hotel was exactly what was on the Internet. What wasn't on the Internet was the excellent ,helpful, friendly staff and how Creekside Inn Bishop should be on your bucket list of places to visit. The bakery next door was amazing, you could spend a day in it
Review 21:Breakfast could be a little better and quite busy.
Review 22:Beautiful place. Lovely town. Overnight stop before travelling to Yosemite. Very friendly staff. Would like to have stayed an extra night if we'd had time.
Review 23:Nicest hotel in Bishop. Beautiful grounds and areas to relax along the creek. Nice furniture and very comfortable. Location next to bakery an unexpected plus.
Review 24:Located in the center of Bishop. The staff is also friendly and good facilities. Very fresh air and a nice garden make my mind relax. It's the best hotel in Bishop.
Review 25:Sterileness of the hotel has a negative side. The fact, what you see on almost ech door the warnings "No pets" and your obligation to sign in contract separate chapter for "No pets" brings you to the mind, how owner of the hotel should hate pets. It brings negative emotions, especially if you love them and have one or a few at home.
Review 26:To say clean hotel its to say nothing. Its sterile.
Review 27:The Front Desk person put is in a 1st floor room next to the busystreet. She indicated that it was because we had booked at a'discount' and would not change the location of the room. Verypoor customer service.
Review 28:Staff very friendly, had a nice chat with the hotel manager as he did his rounds. Pool was super and room great size and very comfortable. Also free laundry facilities which was brilliant as we were on a long tour of California and able to wash and dry a load of laundry. Lobby was lovely with great display of artwork
Review 29:Our stay on Monday,July 27th was suppose to include a king bed. Instead, they gave us a room with 2 queen beds, which meant we got a smaller arm chair that my wife uses to sleep in. Very uncomfortable and she did not get a good rest. Our reservation was made very early, this should not have happened.
Review 30:easy check-in. good room access. front desk very helpful.
Review 31:Not enough sun loungers next to pool though it was just busy at that time.
Review 32:It had a lovely creek that ran through the gardens and made it very enjoyable to sit out to have a drink.
Review 33:Shower a bit weak but everything else was excellent
Review 34:Excellent AC system that worked well without noise and allergens. Comfortable bed and a real comforter with soft duvet cover
Review 35:Great staff clean room comfortable bed great location added bonus try bowling alley out next door great food very reasonable great bar great locals overall great stay
Review 36:Breakfast was the only real disappointment in that a number of items had already run out despite arriving 30 minutes prior to close down time
Review 37:The rooms were spacious & well appointed in excellent condition. Service was friendly and the location was central, perfect for a short stay
Review 38:paid for a "mountain view" room that gave us a view of the busy front parking lot and the street, mentioned it to the hotel desk and we were brushed off and told there were no other rooms available (I booked months in advance).
Review 39:This was our second stay at this hotel and we had the SAME experience each time. WONDERFUL!!!!! Property is Beautiful and well kept. Sits only steps away from one of the best bakeries I have been too. Breakfast has several hot choices with the best biscuits and gravy you will ever find. Pool always spotless. Staff are always friendly and helpful. I look forward to our next visit.
Review 40:Most rooms had a balcony\outside seating overlooking the creek but we our room 101 had no outside space. Sliding doors onto the hotel entrance path overlooking the car park and main road :( Recommend you avoid room 101 and 105
Review 41:Customer seating next to the creek was really nice.
Review 42:This is a fantastic hotel with wonderfully landscaped gardens with comfortable outside seating area. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Everything was excellent, to be highly recommended.
Review 43:I am not a fan of French roast coffee, the coffee inside the room.
Review 44:Staff friendly, energetic and knowledgeable. Room "parts" well assembled and functional. Good color scheme and room felt to be of good quality construction.
Review 45:Nothing bad although view of bowling alley not our choice. But it is Bishop, not exactly the garden spot of CA
Review 46:Renovated room appointed nicely with nice divided bath with separate sink in each part. A nice large shower with rimless glass.
Review 47:Our room was not one of the rooms that had been remodeled, nor would they mover our room to a remodeled one. The view from the room was not as advertised. My patio opened to the street not the cute little creek on the side of the property.
Review 48:The hotel was mostly nice.
Review 49:Rooms a bit dark. Brown wallpaper doesn't help this.
Review 50:Comfortable. Free breakfast and cookies. Pool and hot tub. Good location and lovely grounds. Easy access to car.
Review 51:Will request a room not facing main street. Way too noisy. Will be happy when renovations are done.
Review 52:The staff is so helpful. Especially the front desk.
Review 53:Undergoing renovation which is well done. Delightful courtyard, nice room, exquisite bed and pillows, and a full breakfast. Would recommend it to anyone.
Review 54:Nothing!
Review 55:Sehr freundliches Personal. Schöne, sehr geschmackvoll und ausreichend große Zimmer. Besonders erwähnenswert ist das Frühstück. Dies war das Beste während unserem gesamten USA-Trip. Sehr zu empfehlen.
Review 56:The only thing that was a bother. We had a newly re-decorated room. It was really lovely, but it was just too dark, even with all the provided lights on and the window treatments. I would suggest higher watt light bulbs in the existing lamps/lights or add a few more fixtures (perhaps canned lighting).
Review 57:Just about everything
Review 58:We were only able to stay one night.Had To go back to work.
Review 59:Customer service was great.Room was Awesome looked like we the first people to stay in it.The grounds were relaxing.
Review 60:You have to type in the wifi password every time you want to use it. My TV didn't work my 2nd night so they moved me to one of the remodeled rooms. It only had a shower. The new beds are too soft.
Review 61:The creek and the ducks
Review 62:Indoor access to the front lobby is limited during remodeling. Pool isn't open until April 1st.
Review 63:The room was handsomely adorned with hardwood floors and stone tiles. The creek flowing through the inn property added natural ambience.
Review 64:On our last stay they were remodeling a large number of rooms. Hopefully that will be finished soon
Review 65:Get a room on the creek side if you can. Great rooms, easy access to the pool and relaxing views
Review 66:, I do think the breakfast buffet needs some help. It seems as though the eggs are from a box and the coffee is pretty mediocre.
Review 67:We stay here on our way from San Diego to Tahoe and back. The hotel is very nice, beds are extremely comfortable, bathrooms are newly remodeled, and staff is friendly.
Review 68:There was nothing we didn't like
Review 69:We don't often stay at such a upscale place. We enjoyed everything. Only regret we had was we were out of season for the pool, but enjoyed a soak in the hot tub. We plan on going to Bishop again in the late spring. The breakfast was frive star and the soup and cookies were a nice touch. It was like getting two meals for free.
Review 70:We love the sound of the creek and all the little lights. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas and very cozy. The complimentary breakfast offered a lot of food and was delicious. Soup in the evening was a fun thing for us to do. The kids loved the cookies.
Review 71:This is one of the most beautiful landscape designs we have seen. It is a "must-see". The staff is very friendly and happy to assist. The interior is beautiful and the breakfast is great. Can't wait to visit again in the spring.
Review 72:Having requested a mountainside room on our booking form. On arrival we're given a room overlooking car park. When we queried this we we're told booking.com only paid for car park view rooms. Carpets need a good clean.
Review 73:We liked the hotel, staff and facilities. There was even a small bowling alley next door that served good food.
Review 74:Hotel was brilliant. Large rooms, really comfortable beds, friendly staff and good breakfast. Right next to famous Schat's bakery and hotel also offered free soup and cookie on the evening we arrived.
Review 75:No complaints.
Review 76:Convenience for parking, located close to restaurant choices. Cost very good , especially when compared with other motels we had recently used. Have been here several times over the years and will use again.
Review 77:No movie channels and no microwave. The night life in Bishop is minimal, so to be able to bring left overs back to your room and warm up later while watching a nice movie would've made the trip even nicer. Most employees were cordial, but few really went out of their way to make guests feel welcomed.
Review 78:We enjoyed the ambiance with the creek and mountains, but also the decor was really nice.
Review 79:Bad sleep: rattling noise from aircon, some in identified bubbling in the middle if the night, then at the dawn trucks turn on engines for half an hour just under the windows - a few rooms were renovated and I guess tradesmen started work early. Uncomfortable pillows.
Review 80:Pretty landscaping and building itself, nice rooms, good breakfast with healthy options, friendly stuff.
Review 81:No bar / restaurant - but there are lots of restaurants close by.
Review 82:Lovely friendly staff member on check-in. Pretty location by the creek. Free breakfast and cookies and coffee in the evening a nice touch.
Review 83:I've stayed at several other properties in Bishop and this property IMHO is the best of all. The staff is always very nice, the breakfast is excellent, and the rooms are quiet, clean, and comfortable.
Review 84:Carpets in hotel were worn in places and hallway carpet looked really grubby
Review 85:Looked the nicest of all the surrounding motels and there were quite a few. Breakfast was good but like other hotels on our trip there were not enough tables to cater for customers. Despite initial reservations regarding appearance the bar and grill at the next door bowling alley turned out great
Review 86:The only thing I can suggest for improvement is their pillows... they are small squares! Luckily, I'd taken my own pillow so I still slept well.
Review 87:Great price for the quality and location within Bishop. Nice breakfast and cookies in the evening. Right next door to the fabulous bakery, easy walking to everything in Bishop.
Review 88:TV DOESN'T WORK VERY WELL TOWELS ARE TOO SAMLL BREAKFAST DIDN'T HAVE A VARIETY SAME EVERY DAY TRIED TO GET NEW BATTERIES IN THE REMOTE THE AGENT WOULD CHANGE THEM
Review 89:THE SPA WAS WONDERFUL ROOM WAS GOOD THE MAIDS WERE VERY NICE
Review 90:Room carpet was very damp- either recently cleaned or possibly rain ingress after recent storm
Review 91:Next to creek. We were upgraded to creek side room. Room big with doors to outside sitting area. Bed very comfortable. Good breakfast included. Good parking
Review 92:Staff was very nice and helpful in exchanging rooms. Also suggested a dinner location and offered to make a reservation for us. The breakfast was fresh and better than some of the restaurants. A wide selection of food.
Review 93:Claimed to have wifi but didn't work In either of two rooms we spent nights in. Several window frames and latches in such poor condition that windows could not be locked. At night this felt very unsafe.
Review 94:Proximity to Mono Lake.
Review 95:Poor Wi-Fi (didn't work in the room, had to go out), a bit out-dated, small breakfast
Review 96:Very central in Bishop, large rooms, nice pool, nice river and landscaping
Review 97:Breakfast was very average!
Review 98:Location, pool, showers, fridge in the room Fantastic restaurant called Sage in Bishop which was recommended to us by the hotel
Review 99:Looked like best hotel in the town 'Back in time' resort, true America Perfect place to stay after a day in Death Valley Nice complimentary breakfast Parking right outside the hotel Friendly welcome from reception staff Nice little stream running through the gardens Pleasant pool area
Review 100:Friendly reception, very comfortable bed, good breakfast, plenty of parking, fridge, lift (elevator), clean comfortable room. When booking I requested a room overlooking the creek which we were given. The room had a lovely view of garden and small creek passing down side of property. Highly reccommended.
Review 101:My daughter and I had been on an 8 day motorcycle trip with friends. We stayed in Bishop before our long, hot ride back to Las Vegas. What a bueatiful way to end our trip. Such a lovely setting. I would not hesitate to stay with you again when in the area. A great ending to a wonderful vacation!!!!!
Review 102:The breakfast was pretty basic, and the same on both mornings that we stayed. It was fairly bland and not particularly tasty.
Review 103:We stayed in a room by the creek which was pleasant and private. It was nice to go out in the early evening and sit by the creek under the trees. The creekside rooms cost a little more but I would say it was worth it, rather than face a parking lot or the street. The location is convenient, right next door to Schat's Bakery, which was amazing. Breakfast was included, which is always a plus.
Review 104:Absolutely nothing not to like.
Review 105:Friendly reception. Nice lounge with fireplace for ending the day before retiring to comfortable room, and the free morning breakfast was an unexpected plus.
Review 106:The staff was excellent. Breakfast was a full breakfast with smiles. The entire facility was very clean and much appreciated. We didn't Use the pool but everyone there was having fun. We played golf down the road and enjoyed our stay. Eat at the bowling alley ; it's great.
Review 107:The rooms were clean. The bathrooms were beautiful and recently redone. The surrounding we're well kept and it was definitely a positive experience in every way. Would definitely stay there again
Review 108:none
Review 109:Extremely nice Hotel where we stayed for two nights whilst visiting Yosemite and Zion. The Hotel was very clean and comfortable and has a nice pool to relax by. Good choice of restaurants nearby.
Review 110:1) The breakfast was rather limited, with no bacon, just compressed ham pieces and scrambled eggs.
Review 111:1) The excellent room, building, and grounds 2) The location across from a park
Review 112:None. We had a great experience!
Review 113:One of the best (and cleanest) hotels I've stayed at in Bishop. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. Walk-in tile showers! The breakfast had plenty of choices for my family to choose from and we were all satisfied. Beautiful creek running through the property. I will stay here again!
Review 114:I can't think of anything we didn't like at the Creekside Inn!
Review 115:The balcony from our room overlooked the creek and the pool; lovely! The beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a lot of variety, and was very satisfying. The hotel is very nice! We wish all of the hotels we stayed at on our trip were this nice!
Review 116:I couldn't upgrade the room because I made the purchase online.
Review 117:The day was extremely hot and when we walking into the room it was nice and cool. The room was very clean and bathroom was very upgraded.
Review 118:I love this hotel. The setting is adorable. There is a creek running through the property. The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. The room was great. We had a suite with a full kitchen. The free breakfast was really good with lots of choices. I will be staying at Creekside Inn my next trip to Bishop.
Review 119:Booking rate as 8.9, would rate as 10+++++
Review 120:Very welcoming staff, great breakfast, great size rooms, very comfy beds, good stop off between San Fran & Vegas. Nice wee pool.
Review 121:Excellent . Very tranquil with the çreek running through the pool area. It was nice to have breakfast right there and not have to find a restaraunt. Great place to stay.
Review 122:You only get a Creekside room if you book directly with the property. We booked with Booking.com and had an unappealing view of the parking lot! We did request a Creekside room thru Booking.com but were told that they do not pay attention to those requests!
Review 123:Location and hot breakfast.
