Reviews for Hotel Almanara

Review 1:the fact that breakfast times were inconsistent

Review 2:the hotel was alright, not to much of an atmoshphere even when the world cup was on. Was a little out of town and had to get buses but that was ok

Review 3:Struggled with communication as no english speaking staff

Review 4:Clean

Review 5:problem with hot water

Review 6:Helpful staff. 10 min to the town.

Review 7:* the bed was sleeping on a rock * noisy air-con unit * no English-speaking staff

Review 8:* was able to have a room for the night * room was clean

Review 9:bit expensive but was during world cup. A little bit out from city centre.

Review 10:Clean, safe, good wifi & breakfast

Review 11:The beds are too small and the wifi works great in the lobby but not very well in the room.

Review 12:The front desk we're amazing. They were very helpful. They did their best to answer every question.

Review 13:A relatively cheap option (other hotels were either fully booked or were charging outrageous rates) for the night I did not have accommodation booked in Cuiaba in the lead up to the Australia-Chile World Cup game. Centrally located for the historic centre and buses to all parts of the city.

Review 14:The staff were so unhelpful, there was one gent who didn't speak a word of English or Spanish, but he tried to help. The rest were rude, unhelpful and couldn't even raise a smile, nigh have been due to them being busy, but lots of guests means good takings right? Even when I needed to make a quick phone call locally they charged me. We paid $200 for a standard room.

Review 15:Location was great for us as we just attended the first World Cup game at the arena pantanal. Cuiaba was a nice little town, clean and the locals were ever so friendly.

Review 16:Very small room- basically a box with a bed and very outdated bathroom. One tiny window only. Unsafe area- we were advised not to go outside the hotel,Especially at night. No pool or other facilities. Poor value for money. Would not return.

Review 17:The staff didn't speak any English but were very helpful nonetheless- they even helped me to get a pizza delivered to my room. The room was clean. Breakfast spread was ok.

Review 18:Cuiaba and the Northern Pantanal are full of unhelpful sharks out to rip you off. Avoid and head South instead unless you have a big budget to blow!

Review 19:Good breakfast, clean rooms, working wifi in rooms, helpful staff

Review 20:The rooms are a little sparse and the shower electrics frighten me a little.

Review 21:The staff are very friendly and efficient (no English). The price is very good and they don't charge any unexpected extras. The breakfast, while not luxury, is more than adequate and plentiful.

Review 22:Room very sparse, bedside light not working, no hangers in closet.

Review 23:Good value for money in current climate of high hotel prices in Brazil. Very helpful staff. Breakfast half-way decent buffet.

Review 24:The price was very high, even if it was in world cup season.

Review 25:In general is a good two stars hotel, It is clean and quiet.

Review 26:Unnecessarily expensive

Review 27:D location

Review 28:Average breakfast, too expensive for what it is.

Review 29:Basic accommodation but clean, secure, and helpful staff.

Review 30:Expensive but it is the World Cup so everything is expensive in fairness to them.

Review 31:Very clean place. Good facilities. Helpful staff. Walk to town.
