Reviews for Blue and White Motel
Review 1:Room was a little tired and run down, smelt a bit stale, carpet was a old and dirty and the floor of the bathroom had what looked like animal hairs, staff were friendly
Review 2:I am shocked that they can charge $100 for a room that just has the very minimum of features. There is something wrong with that place. We shan't go there again.
Review 3:Close to my uncles house. Smoking room was available for me. Good food close by. Fridge in the room!!
Review 4:Floors were not clean and if you walked without shoes the bottoms of your feet were black. Themed rooms were very strange, my room was the godfather/scarface with fake bullet holes in the walls. Had to go to the front desk for an iron and ironing board. Limited amenities in the room, i.e., no coffee maker, no Kleenex, etc. Wifi was provided but you had to ask if it was available and to get the password. Even with the password wifi availability was spotty.
Review 5:WiFi did not work; I had a no smoking room but clearly it had been used by smokers; no shampoo/conditioner in bathroom; small towels, no coffee maker; no mini fridge; baseboards had come loose and were laying on floor; TV remote did not work; everything old and in need of repair or upgrading
Review 6:Only the location
Review 7:Internet signal can be weak or none, depending on location of room.
Review 8:From what we could see, each room had a theme. Ours was the James Dean room. Very nicely done.
Review 9:It was disappointing that the wi-fi was not working in most of the hotel, although I was told that I could come to the office any time, where it was working.
Review 10:The office staff were friendly and helpful. The themed rooms are a hoot, such as the one I stayed in, "The Horse Room," or others I observed walking by, such as "The Golf Room."
Review 11:I was assigned a room at the back of the property. I thought, "well that's ok, it should be quiet." On the way there was a car half disassembled. Come to my room, the door was open and there were 2 abandoned cars parked right in front. The room reeked of smoke and was in bad shape. Asked for and was given a fairly nice non-smoking room. I know this isn't the hotel's fault, but at 5 am I was waken by a garbage truck emptying the bin next to my room. Banging and clanging around so much the room shook.
Review 12:It was a place to sleep but not much else.
Review 13:See above...love the price!!!
Review 14:Price was low but needs severe updating. Stuck in the 60's...even the furniture. It needs new pillows and mattress set . Also new toilet, very old to low to floor for older people. Thank you!
Review 15:WiFi was sporadic. Slow and dropped at times
Review 16:Location to our activities Owner or manager was very helpful helping us find our destination and a good eating place
Review 17:Proximinity to West Glacier entrance to Glacier National Park Family run offering clean and comfortable rooms at an affordable price. A Plus - no tax collected from senior citizens.Great idea to offer themed rooms........
Review 18:Rude front desk staff, no wifi that was accessible, smelled like cigarettes, cig burns all over the carpet, no continental breakfast, uncomfortable and itchy beds, really small towels
Review 19:close to the location we needed to be
Review 20:Our floor was so dirty we had to wash it ourselves which made us question the cleanliness of the rest of the room
Review 21:The room was reasonably priced, but then I guess you get what you pay for.
Review 22:The rooms were not clean, carpet very dirty, ants crawling on the bedside tables, cigarette burns on the bed sheets and carpets.
Review 23:The location was great and the indoor pool, hot tub and sauna was just what the doctor ordered after a long day. Everything worked - basic but ok. Continental breakfast had fruit which was appreciated.
Review 24:Wifi did not work in room. Clothes dryer was not working and had to travel to dry our washed clothes.
Review 25:The staff were friendly and helpful. The renovated room was pleasant. Finnegans restaurant next door was great food and good value.
Review 26:Not a bad experience room and bed need to be updated and didn't know that there was a breakfast until check out
Review 27:The room was quite and clean. I will recommend and return.
Review 28:The lobby was not very clean or inviting so kinda turned us off initially. The room itself was clean. The bed was very old and uncomfortable. The cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. No one mentioned the continental breakfast to us at all when we checked in. Walked across the street to get coffee when I guess it was available in the lobby.
Review 29:Upon our arrival a car full of loud somewhat scarey young men went roaring through the parking area with music blaring. In the middle of the night, 2:30 to be exact, someone knocked on the door of our room asking for a women. It was a bit unnerving for me, my grandson and daughter.
Review 30:The staff was very friendly. The room and bath were as clean as could be. I thought that for $90.00 a night the Motel would be remodeled. It is pretty much tacky 50's.
Review 31:No wifi for our entire 5 day stay. The TV had exactly one station (4) and there was no radio back-up for news, weather, traffic or emergency information. Air conditioning was poor and loud. No coffee or tea or facilities to make your own. Bathroom supplies were very basic - bars of soap. Showers came, at times, very hot no matter how you tried to adjust it, which is dangerous if you are in the middle of a shower. In general we cannot recommend the Blue and white motel at all.
Review 32:Staff and the bed were both good and the fridge worked well and was adequate in size.
Review 33:I have a service dog and he is very well behaved as are all "true" service dogs. We were given a pet friendly room. The bottom of the door and some of the floor molding were badly chewed and scratched. Also the carpet was badly soiled...the room did not smell to me! However to dogs that is a different story. It is the forts time I felt like my accommodations were below standard because of my dog!
Review 34:The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 35:Price Price Price. The price/quality ratio were seriously out of balance.
Review 36:Would have been an ok stay at a 1/3 of the price but no where near acceptable for what was charged.
Review 37:Same as above comments.
Review 38:The room #402 was awful the carpet was filthy and all lumpy and the bathroom was dirty!! No one in my party felt comfortable enough to sleep under the sheets and no one would use the dirty shower!! I would never stay here again
Review 39:Stayed in the older section of the motel and the sink and bathtub didn't drain properly. After dark the area was a little seedy, strange people doing strange things if you know what I mean. Pool was gross.
Review 40:Was close to downtown and taco bell haha
Review 41:We would have never stayed but it was after midnight after driving 5 hours. The room was filthy. Urine all over the toilet, feces (dried) in the bowl. Hair in the shower, pubic in the sink. No soap/shampoo, 1 bath towel, 2 hand towels. Wash rags were used to clean sink/toilet. Was a disruption to a personal phone call when checking out, no concern about quality/cleanliness of room.
Review 42:Apple fritters and coffee as we were leaving.
Review 43:The area was a bit noisy and the front office was run down and dirty.
Review 44:very close to a great family restaurant. We stayed there many years ago but it has definately run down quite a bit since. However, the room was clean and the bed comfortable enough.
Review 45:The pool, hot tub and sauna are in need of upgrades. Sauna was not operational and shower were dirty.
Review 46:Location to town centre was very good. Having room on main level with easy access for motorcycle.
Review 47:Only thing concerned was the traffic. As the clerk said the streets roll up about 10 pm. We were ok with that.
Review 48:I like the motel. We didn't stay in the room much, NOT what we were there for. So price we paid was great.
Review 49:Even though this was a very low budget motel, it still found it was lacking with a few of the basic amenities that seem standard in motels...there was no alarm clock, no microwave or coffee maker and no fridge even though I know not every place has a fridge. The other VERY BASIC thing I found we did NOT have in this room was anywhere to hang clothes up!! No hangers, no open closet sort of thing which I found to be very strange but oh well...lol....and there were no little extras to speak of, just a bar of soap at the sink and in the bath tub, that was it. The only other thing was their WiFi connection was terrible!! I don't know what the problem was with it, but it was like being on dial up unless you were sitting right in the front office, then it wasn't too bad!! But even those these things are on the negative side, it didn't make or break our stay here, and it didn't make us not want to come back, I will still be back for a stay here regardless of the things I mentioned above :)
Review 50:First off, the cost was fantastic!! All in all, this was an awesome stay for us. We were in Montana for 2 nights and we were very pleased with our stay at the Blue & White Motel. Our "horse" themed room (#309) was extremely clean, cleaner than I've seen in some higher end motel/hotels!! Bed was so comfortable, was great to have the air conditioning, as it was quite warm the weekend we stayed there. The staff were very helpful and so nice!! We would definately stay here again on our next visit to Kalispell
Review 51:My only "complaint" would be a small one. I had to visit the office to hook up to their WIFI. Could not make a connection in the room. A good solution for this would be to have Century Link install an antenna for stronger connections.
Review 52:We liked pretty much everything. The evening desk clerk was very friendly and very helpful with any questions we had. Cleaning people did a nice job of keeping everything clean and well stocked. All in all, a very good value.
Review 53:I know this is the big season up in Montana and that the season is short and so they charge higher prices, but I still think for $95.00/night one should get shampoo in one's room and not have to borrow it from the front-desk and that one should get HBO. This had the comfortable, dumpy air that I am personally fine with, but for that price I'd expect something a little nicer.
Review 54:The awesome indoor hot-tub and pool. The fact that the front-desk clerk gave me a bottle of shampoo to use. The cool retro signage.
Review 55:The room was rundown and sadly needed lots of updating. hand/washcloth bar in the bathroom broken. Both the bathroom and bedroom were very shabby. The bed was creaky and even the frame sagged when you sat on it. Mattress was very uncomfortable and we hardly got any sleep. The towels were small and very thin. When we went into the office it smelled so much like smoke that I could hardly stay in there to register. All in all it was an unpleasant experience.
Review 56:It is in a good location. There were no bugs.
Review 57:Room 162....Brown stains in toilet. Smell in room. Broken window lock. Entry door chipped and dirty. Not worth $100. a night. Broken and duct tapped chairs. Only one flat pillow each. Tv same level as bed, hard to view at that angle. I was crying. Cut my leg on protruding bar under bed at 1 am. Bar was sticking out right where I had to get up. Hidden by the untucked sheet.
Review 58:The second night we were given a better room. The clerk was kind.
Review 59:The carpeting was horrendous and the surfaces were dirty plus dusty. An awfully high price for the quality of the place.
Review 60:Location and ease to find was good.
Review 61:--lost my reservation (but quickly found me a suitable alternate room), so check-in took a while --"continental breakfast" was a styrofoam plate of pre-opened pretzels, potato chips, and an open package of doughnuts. we laughed all the way to starbucks. --no bathroom products
Review 62:cheapest option in town.
Review 63:This motel was very inexpensive and very conveniently located. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel pool area was unique. My daughter really enjoyed our time swimming here. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone looking for an adventure, as Blue Motel is is a quirky little spot.
Review 64:The bottom of the fridge had a spill on it that was large and sticky. The desk clerk had no clue how to direct us to the right road and sent us on a wild goose chase. The continental breakfast was horrid. Brown fruit!! Yuck. We settled on a donut.
Review 65:We were very impressed that when we closed the door to our room all the traffic noise stopped. And we were the second room from the highway! The room was clean and had been remodeled.
Review 66:It isn't worth anywhere near 100.00 dollars a night. In Missoula it would cost around $60.00 a night for a much better (and bigger) room.
Review 67:It's an old property with"character".It's close to downtown Kalispell. And it was very clean.
Review 68:Terrific little local facility which clearly has been loved for a long time. They've made the VERY MOST of this vintage facility. We'll be back!
Review 69:I have never submitted a poor review on the internet before, but wanted to take the time so that anyone who is thinking of staying here has a heads up! We should have known right when we walked in! The motel lobby was dated and cluttered but the woman behind the counter was very nice. Our room did not have the same sized beds that we had paid for (a queen and a twin instead of two queens) and apparently was the "back to school" themed room. While it is a cute thought to theme out the rooms, it was really strange, cheap looking, and creepy. I am an elementary school teacher and the last thing I want to see on my vacation is school- themed placemats staples to the walls and ABC stickers everywhere. There was also a three foot doll dressed in real children's clothing with her arms over her face, facing the corner like she was in a time out. Super creepy!!! The towels were small and thread-bare and the pool was gross. While a free continental breakfast was served everyday, the pastries were not just day-old, but tasted like they were old enough to have been fished from the trash from the grocery store down the street. The "OJ" consisted of a store brand "orange drink" and was nothing like real orange juice. We have stayed at MUCH nicer, cheap chain motels and that is what I recommend doing if given the opportunity.
Review 70:We stayed here for three nights to attend our friend's wedding in Whitefish. Because we booked only a few weeks before the event, many of the more reasonably priced motels were sold out. We were very happy to find that this motel had rooms and were about $100 a night.
Review 71:Lots of undesirables around. Pool is no good as for the people using it. Room carpets are stained and gross. Last option kinda place.
Review 72:Clean bed and bathroom on motel building off to side.
Review 73:Beds need to be replaced, pool was working but needed to be cleaned.
Review 74:Price was cheap compared to the other hotels. Just stayed 1 night. Room was Clean with a Wolf Theme decor.
Review 75:Check in was very slow and we queued for too long. Our standard queen room was themed on 'Bob the builder' with plastic tools hanging of the walls. The airconditioning was noisey but fortunately during the night we couldn't hear it because of the noise of the traffic thundering past that sometimes made the walls shake. There were bright neon lights outside shining through the thin curtains. The wifi was so slow we gave up and the breakfast was awful. To cap it all we had asked for a quiet room!
Review 76:Nothing.
Review 77:beds were uncomfortable Room was run down WiFi wouldn't work in our room
Review 78:The staff was friendly pool was open late location was good for getting around Breakfast offered
Review 79:Very dirty carpets. Sticky residue on side if table. Cigarette burns on toilet, bathtub ledges, bed spreads and floor.
Review 80:Comfortable mattresses. Friendly staff. Convenient location.
Review 81:Room was dreary not one picture in the place floor was dirty , hole in the wall.when I requested a microwave they brought one the next day and it had a hole in it.. There was no remote for TV. The rug was filthy. Bed was hard. Pillows were flat and uncomfortable.
Review 82:Location to restaurants and other shopping Pool was good
Review 83:No alarm clock, microwave, or shampoo/ conditioner provided.
Review 84:Very clean, our room was quite...no noise from outside. Decent breakfast at Finnagins next door.
Review 85:This quaint little spot is our "must stay" on our annual road trip. Cute theme rooms with thoughtful details added for your comfort. Always clean.
Review 86:The staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the parking was roomy and the price was good. This is an expensive area to get a motel in any time of the year. This motel is reasonably priced for the area and is as comfortable as any of the so called 4 star motels in the area and cleaner than most.
Review 87:Decor not to everyone's taste but some might enjoy Shower curtain should be replaced as it was black on the bottom
Review 88:Room was clean Comfortable bed but pillows were too flat for us
Review 89:The room was overwhelming with poorly presented Elvis memorabilia. Seemed reasonably clean, but felt uncomfortable. Older, not updated. Towels very small/thin. No coffee maker. The price was out of sight for what you got. Half the rate would have been reasonable.
Review 90:Very little
Review 91:This motel is very old and not well kept up. I felt like I was stepping back into the early 60s with the converted waterbed that had to mattresses placed in it's framework. When we arrived there is no towels in the bathroom. We had to call the front desk she we get calls it took them about an hour to deliver the towels. The building was in disrepair. The carpets were absolutely terrible. As you can see I was not very satisfied with this place and I will never stay there again. Nor do I recommend it to anybody. Unhappy customer!
Review 92:easy to find
Review 93:Small shower, and the bathroom could used to be cleaner
Review 94:The bed was the most comfortable I've slept in and a long time
Review 95:No phone service
Review 96:The bed was uncomfortable. Cleanliness was not very good.

Review 112:room didn't have a coffee machine, hair dryer, shampoo
Review 113:pool
Review 114:The breakfast consisted of donuts or toast. No cereal available.
Review 115:The room, the bed, and shower were very acceptable.
Review 116:Outdated rooms and wash room was dirty
Review 117:Everything
Review 118:Checking out
Review 119:the wifi didn't work I had to leave my room and go to the office . The blankets smelled like perfume
Review 120:the staff was very nice
