Review 1：Excellent staff. Rooms were spacious and clean. The equipment in the workout room was of very good quality and the pool was very clean. Loved this hotel and we would great place recommend to anyone.

Review 8：The desk clerk failed to share critical information upon check-in. The power would be off in the morning throughout the entire hotel. No working alarm, no lights in the bathroom, dark hallways without emergency lights. Stained sheets on one of the beds...

Review 10：Hotel staff advised us early in the day that supper reservations in the restaurant, for the evening, would not be necessary. It was an issue but handled very well by Curtis. Breakfast, although the restaurant was essentially empty, took a long time..about an hour after ordering, but the manager covered the cost.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was comfortable and very clean, and the Firestone restaurant was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to any looking for an affordable, comfortable, and overall great place to stay.

Review 20：alarm clock was set wrong and set to go off at 3 am.....we just didn't pay any attention to the clock and so we paid for it by being awakened at 3 am yikes This after an already poor sleep with a very uncomfortable bed we put a small blanket under one half of the bed but one of us had to switch to other bed in the night...and very sore back by then..crazy night.... I really think that we should have been offered a discount on our room rate...but we did not ask for it and it was not offered

Review 21：staff was very friendly .... We liked the convenience of staying at the same hotel that the wedding reception was held in. We liked being on the main floor .....for the wedding reception....we loved that the food dishes were labelled for allergies or intolerences

Review 22：The room was tiny. Everything felt like it was miniature and crammed together. The positives overcame this one negative but I couldn't shake the feeling that I was in a 3/4 size room.

Review 24：The parking lot is large but was very full due to the restaurant on the same premise as well as 2 banquet rooms being utilized for wedding receptions...the room next door had a dog that barked all night which was heard throughout the hallway and into our room....

Review 25：The front of entrance / foyer is very large with a semi circle drive for drop off and pick up....the room was modern and clean and the beds were comfortable....conveniently located off of Hwy 3 ....the Firestone restaurant and bar on the premise was very busy but good food and service.....also serves breakfast.....

Review 26：Most other hotels in the same category offer at least continental breakfast. Their restaurant is good but rather expensive. Local TV is set up so that you cannot get a program guide. Not sure if the ultimate goal is to encourage guests to buy movies.

Review 27：All I can say is rotten too big pillows that were lumpy and did not sleep well the first nite . Did not expect a hotel of this quality to not have nice regular bed pillows for sleeping . Upon asking at the desk there did not seem to be another pillow available so I had to makeshift my own . They looked great on the beds just not good for sleeping for me .

Review 53：Don't eat at the firestone - it reeked of the daily special - clam chowder - was way overpriced and packed to the rafters with people who love clam chowder. Find somewhere else in town - we did and enjoyed a memorable meal. Big problem - parking! Horrendous to try and find parking as it was packed with said chowder eaters! No room for hotel guests? Not so good. Other problem - no space in the bathroom to put down a hair clip, let alone a wash bag. No idea why the mgt. hasn't thought of the idea of adding a shelf somewhere in there - we could see several places! Also, no decent mirror for putting on makeup, etc.

Review 54：Enjoyable stay, welcoming staff - seemed genuinely happy, clean, comfortable and quiet - at least it was quiet where we were. Yes, we'd go there again.

I called the front desk, and her advice was to shut the fan off, which we did, but it continued to run. It's too bad, because we liked the hotel, but will be unlikely to stay there again.

Review 65：Upon arrival when I had to use my credit card, it was declined. Twoattempts were made but she said she could do nothing. Thankfully, mytravelling partner had a Visa card that she could use. Then about1/2 hour later, I attempted to find out what my Visa Card wasdeclined. That clerk could not find out even though an error message wasshowing. I had called visa and there was no problem with it. In fact, Ihas used it in Fort McLeod about 1 hour later. After nearly 1 hour, theproblem was solved by the clerk because I would not leave the desk untilit was solved. It was at this time that I found out that a $400.00 feewas being put on my credit card to include incidentals. As a person whofrequently uses hotels (3rd time since May) I have never heard this. Infact, it was never done in the 3 hotels that I used in the past week. Ithas never happened before. Frequently, the bill is under the doorsometime during early morning of the last day of my stay. This week, Ihave stayed in 3 other hotels, and the amount of the Visa was given tome when I checked in. Explanation is needed about this. My travellingpartner had to use her visa card and she was also told that there wouldbe a $400.00 amount on her card even though the amount woud be about$270.00. In the morning, before we left for the day, I placed the cardon the door to have the room cleaned(The vacuum cleaner sign wasshowing) but the room was not cleaned. It could have fallen off thedoor. I know that people sometimes do no want to be disturbed, however,as a safety feature I would recommend that a simple knock on the doorwould have helped to eliminate the problem. I had an amount of moneytaken off each night as result of the problems. I appreciate thathowever, I would have preferred not to deal with the problem.
