Review 11：The hotel staff went beyond their role to offer us the unique Turkish hospitality experience. Very friendly, courteous and helpful. Breakfast and dinner options are elaborate too, plus tasty. Kids really enjoyed the panoramic view and space.

Review 12：I've travelled the world and never stayed any where quite as unique as the MDC Hotel. Each room is a one-of-a-kind experience with its own history. The decor is beautiful, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious.

Review 14：This hotel is on a hill side with rooms diug into the rock. Our room is actially a suite with a sitting room, bedroom and bathroom . There is a covered patio out side the entrance door. The total space is more than adequate. Also, the huge jaccuzzi tub is a super luxurious feature. Radiant heat in the room is also nice. The breakfast is very good the dinner at the restautant is fine. The lobby and the sitting rooms in the reception area are very nicely appointment with beautiful carpets and a ceramic coffee table really caught my eyes. The hotel is close to town, may be a 10 minute walk. The rates were very reasonable at less than $100/night. The staff are very helpful in coordinating with tour operators. They treat us like friends and family. The best part is the shuttle service to and from the town , including driving us to an ATM in the town center.

The staff who scurry down to greet you on arrival; the incredible setting tucked in a quiet valley overlooking rock formations behind the town of Urgup; the fantastic suites - all different with their own unique luxurious amenities, tucked into the hillside caves; the bountiful breakfast buffet - the best we enjoyed in Turkey; the lovely terrace where we enjoyed a peaceful afternoon as well as a delicious dinner, and early morning if you want to climb to the top terraces you might even glimpse the dramatic balloons as they drift over neighboring valleys. We have stayed at some of the best hotels in the world and we would sincerely promise that the MDC Cave Hotel rivals the very best. We spent days researching where to stay in the area - there are thousands of choices and we felt so very lucky to have chosen the MDC!

Review 18：Honestly the only major drawback was that the internet connectivity was spotty and slow: several times it was simply out of service, which the staff was very apologetic about and fixed after 30 minutes to an hour. However, it happened 2-3 times when we were there at the hotel trying to plan stuff out, which was annoying. In addition, when it is working, it is not fast enough to stream video. E-mail and news and Google maps are not a problem (sometimes wait a few seconds for page load time). Yes, I'm demanding, and maybe unrealistically so: my guess is that no one in Cappadocia has broadband, but I didn't stay at any other hotel so I can't really say. Overall, not that big of a deal, which is why I still give them full stars for our stay.

Review 19：Room - authentic cave experience hewn into rock, bathroom large and clean, water pressure super strong and plenty hot Service - very professional and accommodating (always someone greeting us to/from the hotel, carried our bags in, let us check in early since we arrived a few hours early, and check-out a few hours late, little touches (flowers in room), gift of an MDC mug when we checked out, made a phone call to our rental car place to speak Turkish and solve a problem, etc. Breakfast - absolutely the best from our stay in Turkey in terms of spread; buffet style with tons of nuts, jams/spreads, fruit, bread, cheeses, sliced meat, olives, Turkish omelets, Turkish pancakes, juices, tea, coffee, etc. Real honeycomb. ll you can eat. Dinner - also very good, reasonable prices, the Sac Tava dish was one of my wife's favorites for our entire stay in Cappadocia (including many meals at local places) Location - walkable to downtown Urgup with shops, etc.; great base of operations for exploring Cappadocia region (shuttle buses pick you up for excursions each day, balloon trips, etc.; MDC Cave Hotel also has their own free shuttle to take you to downtown Urgup), if you have a rental car it has plenty of parking, views are nice with lots of outdoor space to lounge

Review 20：Cave hotel, so a tad dusty. Way less than we expected considering it really is a cave. My wife is extremely sensitive but managed quite well. Overall clean but the whole environment is desert and dusty.

Review 45：the quality of the food at the restaurant was not up to the expectation, the staff could not understand english and - what more important - the quality of the meat was poor, we had better food in the village. Furthermore in the day when Feyzullah was off the staff was not able to advice us properly how to organise our day before the flight, we ended up wasting money for a taxi from Goreme to the hotel to find out that the shuttle to the airport had to pass from Goreme as well (we asked about it and we were replied better you return to the hotel cause the way is another direction). Not a big issue but it would have been nicer to avoid it, saving time and money.

Review 46：absolutely the best thing that we appreciated is the attention and professionalism of Feyzullah Yalim who made us feel always like very special guests. The rest was good as well, the location, the structure, the room, the view but we could have found all these things in other hotels in the area, what really made the difference is this small big detail, of a dedicated service, never invasive and always genuinely available. We can say that because we really felt the difference when Feyzullah had his day off: the other staff was available but not the same efficient nor the same understanding.

Review 48：The property is beautiful and the suites are very well appointed. Each suite has its own character and since we were a larger group, we got to experience three of their suites. Staying in a cave hotel itself was a unique experience. The hotel has a shuttle to the town center which is nice. Staff was very attentive to our needs and the breakfast spread was also nice.

Review 52：MDC Cave hotel is situated just 1 KM from the city centre at Urgup. The cave room that we got was big and comfortable. The staff was very friendly (Especially their Reception supervisor - Mr Feyzulla Yalim - who for me was a one point contact for everything and was very helpful during mystay). They have a free shuttle to the city centre at any time of the day. If I ever go back to Kappadokya, I would definetely stay at the MDC cave hotel again.

Review 54：Our room at MDC was an absolute delight. More like a suite, we had 3 main rooms and a large bathroom built into what was once used as a pigeon house. Little nooks had been carved neatly into the walls and, together with the traditional decor (carved wooden beds, hand knotted rugs, antique-style lighting and exotic flourishes like a copper coffee pot) made for a delicious, welcoming ambience. The largest collection of hotel amenities this trip and warm, fluffy bathrobes to snuggle into after a spa. A scrumptious breakfast buffet, complemented by two merry ladies cooking traditional Gozleme to order. Hard to beat hot off the plate but, of course, there's omlette if you prefer. The friendly and helpful staff is overseen by Mustafa, who must never sleep because he's always right there to lend a hand day or night. A thoroughly enjoyable stay from start to finish.

Review 70：The hotel reflects all the character of the area. The rooms are partially built into caves but they are also very luxurious. The room we have stayed was very spacey (separate room for the kids, a four poster bed and a living quarter) and very tastefully decorated. The setting is very romantic, the food is very good and even though it is quite close to Urgup center it is very tranquil and relaxing.

I have neverexperienced such a professional and customer friendly experience in mylife. And to go on, the hotel is spotless with an incredibly unique lookand design. And the food in the restaurant, which is always open(strange for a 37 room hotel, but great), has carefully craftedincredible dishes in a romantic atmosphere. Ahead of the trip, they werevery helpful in arranging and explaining everything with clear english.I also became ill on the trip and required a hospital visit. Not anordinary easy thing to accomplish in a country that doesnt have thegreatest understanding of English, but the manager drove us and stayedthe entire time. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelingto the region.
