Kiara Lodge sells fast on our site. Located a 14-minute drive from Clarens, Kiara Lodge is set amongst the Maluti Mountains and offers an outdoor swimming pool, spa and wellness centre and a children’s playground. The property is just next to the Golden Gate Highlands National Park.
The apartments feature a balcony with BBQ facilities and a living room with a TV. There are 2 or 3 bedrooms, of which one has an en suite bathroom and the main bathroom includes a bathtub. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave and stovetop.
Groceries can be purchased in the on-site mini-market and there is also a bar where guests can relax with a drink.
Additional features include a tennis court, billiards, table tennis and mini golf. Free private parking is possible at the property. Phuthaditjhaba is a 30-minute drive away.

Review 1：A big tree in front of our unit hid the fabulous view. The restaurant food was below average; the "swimming pool" was more like a kiddie pool and didn't look very clean. Wifi very slow.

Review 3：The resort has a great spa, with friendly staff. The units are comfortable with beautiful views of the mountains. The resort is close to Clarens town.

Review 4：The service staff kept on coming in to give us soap or towels. I think they should do all this when they come in to make the beds etc.

Review 5：We loved the little bunnies and geese roaming around and the bird life was amazing. Our chalet was very comfortable and clean. The walks and scenery were also wonderful.

Review 8：For the elderly and there were quite a few , there should be handles in the showers. ALso with the extreme heat it woud have been nice if the outside pool was blue instead of green.

Review 9：The lodge has grown since my last visit. the resturant has excellent food. The lodge is well kept.

Review 10：The moment we checked in the reception gave us a terrible experience. We were given a list of approx. 100 items that were in the house which we were required to double check to see if it indeed was still present in the house. If that was not the case (and didn't report that within 24hrs) we had to pay for that. Who's going to steal a doormat, TV magazine or a painting of a fish? Before we checked out we had to wait until the cleaning lady checked if everything was still there. Furthermore was the food terrible. The next day I had a bad case of diarrhea. Best place to eat at is Clementines in Clarens, with the only trained chef in town. That was amazing. Don't eat at Kiara Lodge!

Review 11：The view was fantastic, and the houses contain everything a young couple like us would need. The nearest town is Clarens, which is nice, and there are some nice hiking trails in the area.

Review 15：the drive way entrance is ridiculously narrow it needs to widened ,on three occasions we had to reverse to allow other motorists past the parking at the units is badly designed leaving most people a strenuous uphill climb to check in and out and day to day

Review 17：Very poor reception. Staff were unprepared and unfriendly. While the bungalows appeared well kitted out, some of the equipment (oven, kettle) was broken.

Review 21：Upon arrival - being told about a prior theft, of a Hilux Double Cab targeted inside the facility. (we did not sleep well at all because of the worry & p.m checking....) May is suggest that you rather provide each guest with their own unit access/exit tag on the unit keys instead of everyone having access of a general code made visible on your Unit check list ?

Review 23：It would be much better if everything was a bit cleaner, especially kitchen, it was sticky. We washed all cups, pots, plates etc. before use.

Review 28：It's a beautiful area and we could only overnight because we were relocating but I definitely want to come back for a proper holiday. Absolutely loved the place and the restaurant food was great with a homely atmosphere.

Review 31：It was sub-zero temperatures at night and didn't have an open fire or electric blankets. Would have thought a resort in that environment would invest and be prepared for those temperatures and comfort of their guests.

Review 32：Two things - The door to the second room could not close; the toilet paper was single sheet and cheap hard paper...... Obviously this place is under pressure to reduce cost, but you never reduce cost at the expense of you customers...! Not at the price! Fire the boss, not the manager.
