Reviews for Chalets Cote Mer
Review 1:A bit jaded. Water leaking out of air conditioning unit. If using kitchen sink for washing clothes - water leaked into cupboard below. Very steep site with lots of steps. No beach.
Review 2:Ease of access to ferry jetty, and bus service -easy to get to Vallee de Mer and all beaches. Good restaurant - and excellent food. Swimming pool.
Review 3:Poor breakfast((( - if you are not a fan of eggs (they cook it everyday) than you have almost nothing to eat. Would like to advice guys in Chalets to think about including at least pancakes and yougurts to the breakfast offer.
Review 4:Good location very close to the jetty and best Praslin take-away Oganibar. Beautiful beaches (Anse Lazio & Anse Georgette) are in a 15-20-minutes-by-car-distance. Rooms are clean and big (we had a superior one), nice view from the terrace.
Review 5:The supermarket was a bit far, although could be reached by bus or 15-20 min walking
Review 6:Amazing view, friendly and efficient staff, quite place, close to the port
Review 7:Room needs serious updating/redecorating. Bathroom looks about 30 years old. Rust on the room's fridge. No tea/coffee despite there being cups and kettle in the room. No toiletries apart from soap. No beach within walking distance. Wifi cuts out every few minutes.
Review 8:Staff - very helpful and professional. Ocean view from the room. Swimming pool. Cleanliness. Grounds.
Review 9:Restaurent is closed for lunch, so guests have to look out for options outside. Also, pool timings are till 19.00 hrs. Can be extended.
Review 10:Amazing view of the islands makes the USP of the accomodation. The rooms are massive & complete with self service kitchen facilities. The staff is co-operative & makes sure all queries are quickly addressed.
Review 11:Breakfast was only average without much variety. Paid wifi, seriously?
Review 12:The location adjacent to the jetty (and the bus stop there) is very convenient. Breathtaking views from the rooms, the restaurant, the pool. All the little geckos and fruit bats.
Review 13:Paid, shared wifi is terrible. Only one person can use it and you get logged out every time power off. Poor air con effectiveness for size of apartment. Reception staff provide an average service.
Review 14:Beautiful pool, view, big, spacious apartment with nice kitchen and balcony. Dinners were good and restaurant staff provide an excellent service
Review 15:You must eat in the hotel if you don't rent a car You cant go to any restaurant by foot
Review 16:The location is very good. Close to the ferry to la dig- 3 min by foot The pool is wonderful The dining room is beautiful
Review 17:Excellent value for money for a place with such an amazing view of the ocean! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the chef cooked up incredibly delicious dinners. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we will be back! A lovely start to our honeymoon.
Review 18:Super friendly staff, they did everything they could to make you feel special! We enjoyed our stay a lot and everything went just fine. We also took an excursion with them and it was lovely -- Curieuse&St. Pierre island tour.
Review 19:Kitchen ....gas not working properly...had to struggle to get it on. Breakfast not substantial and the same everyday.
Review 20:Location is great. Just 5 min walk from the jetty. Rooms are fabulous...spacious, airy and comfortable. View from the balcony is superb.
Review 21:It was nice to have shampoo and rinse at the bathroom
Review 22:Nice ocean view. Also, meals especially full-course dinners served at the restaurant (next to the sea) were excellent
Review 23:We would not recommend to have diner on site and we were not convinced by the breakfast Decoration of the villa and lighting are not charming Wifi rate is expensive
Review 24:size of the room Balcony and nice view Quiet
Review 25:nothing
Review 26:A lovely small hotel, the managers and staff were all very friendly and made us feel so welcome. The view from the rooms is amazing, and there is a small infinity pool overlooking the bay. We ate in their restaurant overlooking the water on 3 nights as we found it excellent value for money for a three course meal plus tea/coffee and much better quality than most other restaurants we tried. The menu changes every day and there is a choice of 2 main courses, but you need to order in the morning after breakfast. Very convenient location for the ferry and the small town of Baie St Anne. To make the most of Praline it is best to hire a car and explore - the best beach is Anse Lazio, absolutely stunning!
Review 27:Room could look nicer with small decor updates but was by no means bad. Renting a car is very helpful as some of the main beaches are on the other end of the island.
Review 28:Amazing view, wonderful facilities including an infinity pool and fantastic restaurant. Very close to the inter-island jetty. Friendly staff.
Review 29:When we ordered the room in booking.com - we looked at the pictures, and chose more expencive superior room with the layout we prefered. When we came to the hotel - the room they offered was totally different and they told us, that thay have different superior rooms. It would be honest if they would have different pictures on the site. Because it's possible that what you see is not what you're gonna get!
Review 30:Good location if you need to go to the port - it's just near. Rooms have spectacular view. and the territory is green and beautiful. Very nice small swimming pool with the gorgeous view to the bay. No beach. We ate dinner at the restoran every evening and the food delicious!
Review 31:Nothing bad to say!
Review 32:Staff was amazing in helping us out to plan our days in Praslin. Beautiful location, good restaurant with good breakfast. Overall an amazing stay!
Review 33:If I have to say something negative, the furniture in the rooms is a bit outdated. But I do not care much about it and they are putting lot of effort in renewing the installations.
Review 34:Best place in Praslin, awesome value for money, great location and amazing staff. The new and young management are improving this place (that it was good already). I was amazed at the restaurant. It is a lovely place over the sea, and you can feel the innovation in the great dishes they offer and cook. And the swimming pool is the paradise, it is what you expect from Seychelles. We could call this "Boutique hotel" with personal touch.
Review 35:The rooms especially the bathroom can use a renovation.
Review 36:Super beautiful view, restaurant offered really good food, perfect staff.
Review 37:Nothing really, everything was excellent.
Review 38:Excellent location for exploring Praslin and beyond. Great views and pool. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Review 39:Had to pay for wifi - and wifi was only for one device
Review 40:Wonderful pool area
Review 41:It's on the side of a hill and has a lot of steps, so you need to be fit!
Review 42:Reasonably, car hire available and close to the jetty
Review 43:Breakfast was very good
Review 44:Expensive to use WiFi
Review 45:The best food we had in Seychelles Great location for exploring Praslin & La Digue Spacious rooms Great pool area
Review 46:you'll definitely need a car to travel around the island. The room we stayed in was a bit worn out.
Review 47:food was great! nice view from the room.
Review 48:Their would be a small disatvantage in the layout of the apartments, because their location is on a hill side, means you have to walk your way with no stairs to help.
Review 49:I absolutly loved that place. The photos on their website reflect the truth. The place is beautiful, cozy and the standards were excellent. Also location wise it s good, in walking distance from the jetty. Near by their is a place with organic cooked food at a very good price.
Review 50:None
Review 51:This is a great place to stay just a minutes drive or 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal which is very convenient. The staff is very helpful with recommendations and very friendly. The views are amazing and it is nice to have a small pool there overlooking the bay as well. The food is good and it's a good place to explore the island from with a car which the hotel arranged for us. We would love to come back some day.
Review 52:The hotel restaurant only with reservation, therefore you can to dinner only if you book during the breakfast. And if you decide to have dinner at the restaurant, you cant choose where you would like to seat, even with the restaurant empty. Despite the habitation be very large with bedroom, dinning room, living room, balcony, etc, the bathroom is very small and poor and the shower doesn't work properly. It's not a place appropriated to disabled people.
Review 53:The localization of the hotel is very good. Very nearby there is supermarket, farmacy, the jetty (where the boats arrive and departure to and from Mahe/La Digue). Its very easy to reach Anse Lazio, Cote D'Or, Valle de Mai and East Coast. Good swimming pool, and very spacious bedroom. Very good rental car partner, pretty efficent and helpful (Mr Deepak).
Review 54:you'd better rent a car for transfer.
Review 55:The hotel's beautiful female boss is very helpful, we have spend here our Christmas and honeymoon, we had wonderful memories here. The Boss couple prepared us each guest a gift. They also give us two free cocktails. The room was beautiful, the scenery out of the balcony is special beautiful. The Dinner in Hotel is also good value for money. Very recommendable hotel.
Review 56:there is no beach where to go near by the accomodation. totally desappointed upon arrival when we realized that in the pictures the beach looks right next to the accomodation, once we get there and ask for the access to the beach, the answer is "there is no acces to the beach from here". you must rent a car (40euros/day) or if you are in good shape rent a bike in order to get to the beaches, which arent close to the accomodation. routes are up and down, so you can get tired easily if u rented a bike. they try so hardly to save energy that it was disturbing and at a moment i felt unconfortable about that. out of 3 nights, the light went off 2 nights because i branched a shaver:s
Review 57:good price for what they offer. location right next to the port. the menu was good for the price. it was worth it comparing to other places where to eat.
Review 58:Attitude towards guests is very bad. Very filthy rooms full of unhealthy mold. They didnt want to replace towels and after request that we need new towels we were told that this is the last time we can exchanged towels. Only at this hotel it didnt come with a room beach towels. For a breakfast is just jam and eggs. Our family didnt like the hotel, we had much better for less money. Noisy air con. Not recommended!
Review 59:Failed to visit Anse Georgette due to a misunderstood with our hotel reception and more because of the rudeness of Constance Lemuria Resort management which didn't understood that was a mistake and our only chance to visit the beach.
Review 60:Restaurant is located near/above the sea, a very romantic place to take dinner with good food. Very nice pool, quiet place, friendly staff. Our room was an apartment with direct view to sea side and the pool. The apartment clean, spacious with fully equipped kitchen. We have rent the car directly from hotel reception at a good rate.
Review 61:Nothing
Review 62:Everything are excellent at this hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful, surroundings at the hotel are wonderful, I am especially love the bay view from the balcony. I would definitely like to go back to this hotel at next time
Review 63:staff, location, food, helpfullness and the fact we got breakfast made ready for us the night before we left early in the morning
Review 64:Nice room, nice view, nice restaurant
