Reviews for Hotel Le Val D'arimont

Review 1:No tea and coffee facilities in hotel double. Had to pay for squash and bowling facilities per hour and pay to rent equipment for everything else. Misleading as said all sports free. Also said there was a €30 set course meal available on website. On arrival said that was no longer available...website still now says it is.

Review 2:Great staff! Easy walk/cycle to malmady. Great value at the price we got. Modern facilities. Great at spot in the middle of nature.

Review 3:There is a playground, but not suitable for children under 2 years. Indoor swimming pool can be a bit crowded since local people also use it. Breakfast a bit expensive.

Review 4:Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beautiful environment and close to the former train line Ravel, so you can bike and walk easily. Food in restaurant is good. Wifi quality is good.

Review 5:No tea or coffee making facilities in our room. Sun beds were a little uncomfortable could have done with some pads on them, these are minor details but think they would help make the stay even more pleasant.

Review 6:This hotel is in a stunning location, the owners and staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and very nicely presented.

Review 7:We felt the price we paid for 4 nights very expensive at 1680 euros, which was not including breakfast, the room we had was very basic, I understand the price reflected it was the GP, but was to high.

Review 8:We used this hotel as a base to attend the Belguim Grand Prix, it was perfect, great setting and very freindly and helpful staff

Review 9:Not their fault, more to do with the location, surrounded by trees, but LOTS of flies inside and out, plus some wasps. I did end up buying fly spray. If someone who has mobility problems, a cottage maybe better than the hotel, as you have to carry your bags up open, wooden, spiral stairs. Room very warm, no air con.

Review 10:Nothing was too much trouble, I asked for something lighter for dinner on a couple of nights and they did it for me. Their steak is gorgeous, melt in the mouth. Lovely location and good for families, with indoor and outdoor pools, table tennis, mini golf. Also hotel is out of the way of any major roads, but only 15 minutes from the Spa Circuit.

Review 11:I was a little annoyed by the screaming kiddies in the restaurant. Oh well no great loss. I didn't have to change their diapers.

Review 12:Quietness. Nice and pleasant.

Review 13:Breakfast, like a lot of hotels now, was extra and I considered 12.50 per person a bit excessive, we had it town for half the price.

Review 14:Everything about the hotel was perfect, location with beautiful countryside. Room rate was very reasonable, we didn't have breakfast as it was a bit expensive. However the restaurant was not and the food excellent, would recomend a stay, we will definately go again.

Review 15:Ticket machines at Belgian railway stations are not user friendly, we bought the wrong tickets by mistake and have not got a refund yet.

Review 16:Good food at the restuarant, large selection of local beers. Good restuarants in Malmedy Excellent cycle track faciltys throughout. Lakes and rivers and forest walks. Local Train and bus fares are not expensive.

Review 17:Entrance door to hotel section jams on the floor, guttering above the same door broken and poors onto you when raining, lobby which joins hotel rooms needs soft furnishings to stop echo and noise of people walking in and out.

Review 18:Peace and quiet, relaxed atmosphere, indoor and outdoor swimming pools

Review 19:The beds in Deluxe Double room weren't that comfortable. Dinner at the restaurant was overpriced.

Review 20:We liked its close proximity to nature. It is easy to walk from there to Malmedy. Also the breakfast was pretty good. The pool was fun during sunny days. Staff members mostly speak good Dutch and English alongside French, and they are very helpful.

Review 21:Wifi could be better. Единственная сложность - интернет, соединение очень нестабильное, по вечерам при возрастающем трафике интернет вообще практически не работает;(

Review 22:Great location, spectacular hiking routes, possibilities for active sports: canoeing, horse back riding, mountain bikes; caves and castles - all nearby. Very nice design, compliments to the staff.

Review 23:Room smelt stale when we first entered. Food very overpriced. Female Changing rooms for swimming pool quite dirty at 5 in the afternoon. Blocked gutter outside room window. Non-existent wifi signal in the room.

Review 24:Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful; limited but serviceable 'spa' facilities; friendly welcome; useful tourism information leaflets readily to hand; comfortable room with large bathroom.

Review 25:It was quiet, freiendly and located in a beautiful area

Review 26:Fantastic place

Review 27:Nice staff Great location

Review 28:Location .facilities . ambience . everything

Review 29:Very basic. Electric is extra and you need to bring all apart from sheets. Almost camping :-)

Review 30:Surrounded by trees. Quiet.

Review 31:Picturesq, load of facilities as standard

Review 32:The surroundings - the hotel is really situated at the end of a valley. At 8 eight o'clock in the morning, I was swimming in the outside pool. Quiet, nice walks to be made. Breakfast was OK - not too much but everything one needs was there. I arrived quite late in the evening, 10 o'clock - everything was closed and the owner was so nice to call my home to ask where I staid, and waited for me.

Review 33:quality and clean of the cottages low efficient electric heating - extra charged. Lack of maintainence in the whole hotel. No visibility on extra charges after check out. Deposit after 3 weeks still blocked

Review 34:wonderfull area quiet no traffic pass through

Review 35:the normal double rooms are located at the back of the building (no view). The hotel, which has 2 pools and a sauna does not offer the second set of towels and the shampoo is very limited only in small plastic container. Restaurants's offer could as well be a bit more regional.

Review 36:the view over the pool.

Review 37:Although only minor, it would be nice to have a grill on toaster to use.

Review 38:I can't fault the whole experience in any way and shall be returning next year.

Review 39:The bed was not comfortable, mattress very soft and squicky, duvet extremely hot. Douche without a door, no free wifi, the breakfast was of poor quality.

Review 40:Bathrooms did not have a door and you could feel the wind coming in, not mentioning the lack of privacy.

Review 41:It's location in the middle of the nature is perfect for enjoying beautiful landscapes of the Ardennes and allows activities nearby such as cycling. The cosy and spacious room and the warm indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing with my little child and husband after an exhausting day.

Review 42:The staff members made us very welcome what every time of day it was. The buffet breakfast was nice and evening food good in the evening. The hotel is about 25mins approx by car to Spa, and the hotel location is great for walking. Will definately stay at the hotel again.

Review 43:The setting was beautiful and the layout and facilities of the site were very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke several languages. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

Review 44:Nothing really, except no shop on site to buy essentials like washing up liquid or milk. Oh and no oven in cottage (there is a hob and microwave) so don't make the mistake of buying pizzas and oven chips like we did!!

Review 45:The cottages are lovely and spacious, set in a stunning location. Really beautiful scenery everywhere you turn. Staff are friendly and most speak English. Think we were the only English guests. This didn't matter at all though. The kids loved the indoor and outdoor pools - they were very clean and well maintained. There is no shop on site - nearest is a 30 min walk so make sure you stop and stock up (there is a Carrefour 5 mins drive away). We had a brilliant time, lots of forest walks and messing about in the streams. Bruge is about 2 hours drive so we spent the day there before getting the ferry home. Highly recommended!!

Review 46:Breakfast buffet was uninspiring, coffee miserable.

Review 47:Quiet location.

Review 48:İ loved to be in the nature, and sleeping in total silence was great...and hotel staff (owners i guess) was really friendly...

Review 49:Very nice !!!!

Review 50:Electricity charge was way too much. 100 Eur for 3 nights !!

Review 51:Location, surroundings

Review 52:Tranquility
