Reviews for First Hotel Dragonen

Review 1:You have to park nextdoor on the top levels but there is no working lift. It was an inconvenience to carry the luggage up and down the stairs. There is no direct access from the car park.

Review 2:Our room was very quiet and clean. Nice firm bed. It had coffee-making facilities in the room, in the lobby and a varied buffet-breakfast. It has a good sauna as well. It is centrally located, within walking distance of shops, cafés and restaurants.

Review 3:Good hotel, friendly staff, free coffee, tea at reception. Room spacious, clean. Nice pedestrian mall nearby. close to water. Only stayed one day as a 1/2 stop from Stockholm to Rovaniemi. Wished could have stayed another day to visit Umea. Recommend travellers to book 2 days to explore town for a day. As always, one day I may be back. Oh, well memories exist.

Review 4:The room was very hot, although the weather was quite bad. When we came in, the children's bed was not made, but this was fixed rapidly when pointed out to personnel.

Review 5:The rapid service by the personnel and the possibility to accommodate a whole family (three children) in the same suite.

Review 6:40 SEK/night for parking could have been included. No direct door from the parking house to the hotel, you have to walk on the street. This sould be nice in winter...

Review 7:Breakfast, lift, clean room, close to the centre.

Review 8:The bar was still under construction so i could only take coffe and water. It was ready for the day i was returning to Uk. Didn't like the shower.

Review 9:I came from uk and everybody was able to speak English. They helped me in moving around town and gave me maps and advices. The room Was clean and tidy and the owerall look was good

Review 10:I could not get the soap out of the plastic boxes but I believe that is a design problem not unique to the hotel.

Review 11:the cleanliness, the breakfast, the staff, the location, the thoughtful complimentary coffee and fruit in the lounge

Review 12:There is building work around the lobby but it didn't impact on our stay.

Review 13:The room was surprisingly comfortable and well serviced with staff polite and friendly with the hotel just a short walk from both train and bus stations.

Review 14:This was a very clean hotel that provided all the necessities - very comfortable bed, hot shower and decent storage for clothing. I felt grateful to the staff for giving me a free upgrade, so I had two twin beds (pushed together) and a much more spacious room than I had booked. One minor issue - there was no electrical socket in the washroom. The room was very quiet, but I should mention that the pub/restaurant was being renovated, so it was not in use (except for the hotel's breakfast). I don't know if it would be noisy normally. The breakfast was fine, but it was always the same and served rather early (e.g., discontinued at 9:00 am). This early cut-off time could prove difficult for visitors dealing with jet lag who want to sleep in a little later (me!). The staff were quite accommodating in storing my bags for me until my flight later in the day, following my check-out. The hotel is located a few blocks from the city centre, but it is not quite in the heart of the city. Although several other hotels were closer, these were more expensive. This hotel is a good choice if you want something clean, comfortable, basic and not too expensive.

Review 15:No electric outlet in the bathroom, shaving or hairdrying is tricky No hygienic shower in toilet - nonsense. Narrow dark scaring corridor Expensive parking Very limited breakfast (common for Swedish hotels) Cold floor in the bathroom No teapot in the room (tea and coffee available in reception area)

Review 16:Few minutes of walk from railway station, in the center Parking in the same building Large room, windows can be opened Quiet (our room was far from night club and it was Sunday/Monday night) Good if booked with discount, otherwise won't worth money requested

Review 17:The hotel is very well located, close to the downtown. The room was very cleaned and the breakfast was awesome. The cost/benefit ratio is quite fair.

Review 18:The only thing I would say it was a bit on the spartan side, which certainly wasn't anything that affected my stay.

Review 19:Location - could walk everywhere I needed to go Discount on food in the restaurant associated with the hotel Clean and comfortable Could open the window

Review 20:Is not comfurtable the people shouting all night no one stop them

Review 21:The people are friendly and helpfull

Review 22:Expensive for 1 nights stay as a student

Review 23:Nice! Fairly central location. Friendly staff, nice food and comfortable bed. Recommended

Review 36:Simple, but new and clean.

Review 38:restaurante in it

Review 39:In this hotel you stay above a sport bar. If it is a match you can't sleep early than 12 midnight!

Review 40:The breakfast was good.

Review 42:Nothing.

Review 43:Personal, room, location and breakfast was all ok, good touristclass.

Review 44:Excelent customer service and information, I could do the best of my time

Review 45:Two single beds won't works as a double bed..... But it was OK for few nights.

Review 46:Friendly staffs, Reasonably close to city centre, Good breakfast, Very clean room,

Review 47:wifi is not very good. Although I was living on the pub, there was little noisy at night.

Review 48:It offered a small electronic kettle, it's very hard to get it but the staff was very nice!

Review 49:Extremely expensive for 3* comfort. No refregerator, tee, bathrobe etc. in the room.

Review 50:Very clean, nice breakfast, fast and free wifi, tee/coffee in the lobby, sauna.

Review 51:They should avoid vacuuming downstairs when it's breakfast time ... With an open staircase so you can hear everything from the ground floor.

Review 52:That it was clean

Review 53:Noisy during the weekend as it is above a bar and a club. Not mentioned when booking. But no worries, ear plugs are provided...

Review 54:New, clean, well located

Review 55:Wi-fi in my room was not working on my laptop despite all my efforts to connect. I couldn't really figure out why.

Review 56:I liked the friendly attitude and humility of the staff. Great location in city centre and near to public transport services. Nice bar and really good food. I'll definitely come back.

Review 57:Club near the hotel was not mentioned, Guys and Girls coming to the club leave their bicycles just in front of hotel room windows and come pick these after the midnight. there was lots of noise after the midnight so not a very good sleep.

Review 58:Clean room, good breakfast

Review 59:- The fact that the heaters (wall and floor) were turned on without any way of turning them off - we stayed here in June and it got pretty warm at night

Review 60:+ Location, very close to a Max fast food (open until 4 AM), O'Leary's pub (open until 2 AM) and a night club (was closed during our stay)

Review 61:The hotel is next to a lively pub and club and it is very noisy throughthe evening and again when it closes down which seemed to be around 3 inthe morning. I also didn't appreciate being charged 200 krone topark my mototrbike overnight.

Review 62:There was a bed and the hotel was clean.

Review 63:For a North American, the rooms are a bit spartan and quite expensive. The heat was also difficult to adjust. For some reason, my Blackberry Playbook tablet could not log in on the internet. It had no problem in other locations in Umea (ie at Folkets Hus)

Review 64:People were nice. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The location was very good, quite close to the Folkets Hus where my conference was. Internet connection was good for my laptop.

Review 65:There was music late into the night. We had not been warned of this when booking and got little sleep. It was a business trip and for this reason alone I would not stay there again. There were also chairs/furniture being dragged around late into the night. Pool was not in used.

Review 66:Rooms were clean. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable. Shower facilities were good.

Review 67:I think there is a night club or something like this in the building. So expect some noise during nights :)

Review 68:- It is in the center, walk distance to almost everything. - Nice breakfast - There is a sauna and pool in the hotel.

Review 69:Room was not in good shape, paint falling of the wood. No facilities todrink anything after 23:00 (bar/minibar)

Review 70:Affordable, central location, basic requirements. Good bed though.

Review 71:Close to a noisy night club. The rooms felt old (but clean). The windows didn't close. Construction work was disturbing.

Review 72:Clean room with bath tub. Breakfast was good but nothing special. Location close to railway station.

Review 73:Things promised should be found. Wi Fi did'nt work at all. Swimming pool top on the roof was not in use. Reception: "Two glass is standard", when asking extra drinking glass fo child.

Review 74:Nightclubs were closed on summertime. Good breakfast was in sports bar O'Learys.

Review 75:The room was very small, and cold because the heating wasnt working well(outside temperature -20c). The internet was very slow. There was a lotfrom the bar at the ground level of hotel. Not very clean. Notrecommended. Not value for money
