Review 1：Buffet was good but could be better and fresher - when we went later in the service some of the food did look a bit tired! Didn't realise the hotel wasn't central to to Kandy so meant a taxi/tuk-tuk ride anywhere

Review 5：Check-in & Check out lasted some hours, how I felt it. The wifi code you get is only for two devices and limited on time. Another code was not provided on request. Please be aware you will need some time to go to Kandy town (which is clear if you look on the map). They offer so much service, every two hours somebody will knock on your door and ask if everything is ok or if you need new towels.

Review 6：Perfect organized hotel with all accomondations you need for a relaxing stay. The surrounding is almost quiet and hotel is located directly at the river. Staff is really caring about you and dishes are offering both Sri Lankan and western cuisine. We stayed here at Christmas, where they organized a gala dinner with the most glamorous buffet I ever had in my life (I felt it like 30 meters)+ program and presents for the guests. At the same time we sit in the beautiful garden of the hotel. Rooms are also very large and (mostly) have own balconies. Altough its very large, its not crowded on the pool or during the breakfast time.

Review 7：The pictures presented on booking.com are outdated. The beds were very uncomfortable and you could feel the springs. We requested for a view and the only view we had was two trees and a parking area.

Review 11：When we reached Mahaweli we were given different room than what we had booked 6 months in advance. We were informed that entire hotel is booked. After arguing with them, they provided us with good room.

Review 12：We went to Kandy considering the location of Mahaweli. The food is very good and restaurant staff is very courteous.

Review 13：It is not located in the heart of city, infect its bit far from the city center, Tuk Tuk takes around 12 to 15 mins to reach in the city and charge you 300 to 350 Rs.

Review 14：Some great and delicious variety of food in the breakfast, service was really good, WIFI and AC both were working good, you can find many species of birds in the tress and some reptiles in pond, which gives you a really nice jungle feeling.

Review 15：Due to some on-going electrical repairs, the power supply to all rooms were cut-off from 10.00 am to 6.00pm. Unable to comprehend as to why the supply had to be cut-off to all rooms for 8 hours daily instead of limiting the interruption to a section or to a floor at a time ?

Review 21：Staff spoiled wedding proposal: announced by mail what I planned and girl from front desk came to me and my girlfriend telling me in a very indiscrete way that Champagne was gone. Girlfriend then knew that something was going on and actual proposal lost its surprise factor. Extreme bummer, especially because I got in contact with hotel before.

Review 31：Swimming pool was dirty especially the ones for kids. All bicycles had deflated tyres and the staff could not fix it despite multiple requests. Staff at the reception was generally lousy. Asking for cheap laundry bag while checking-out was quite stupid.

Review 70：It is a charming hotel in it's own way, but quite far away from the city center of Kandy. Except from the distance the location is quite nice, right next to the mahaweli river. We were given an upgrade and room decoration for our honeymoon.

Review 71：Arrived Saturday afternoon, booked buffet dinner at 19:30. Moments aftersitting down power tools started as they setup a stage for a Sundaynight event. This continued until 22:30 metres away from diners. Sundaynight was a loud live band for a party I was not invited to, it tookover the entire hotel. Lovely Monday morning, however, power tools etcas stage taken down. Then I left

Review 72：The staff at ground level were great. Junior suite was great. Poollooked great. Food (buffet) good and choice extensive. Wilbert, our tripdriver, was great. I had to move to a standard room as the suite wasnext to the stage. The standard room is also nice but they did not wantto return difference in money between this and suite. Took some arguingfor them to agree.
