Reviews for Hotel Sofya

Review 1:- location: few young people rioted in the dark (they destroyed a glass billboard) - our room was noisy because of some air-conditioning close to it

Review 2:- very friendly staff - good traditional russian breakfast - comfortable bed - good shower - excellent wifi - location close to the centre

Review 3:Cozy, nothing crazy about the place, but in the center and good

Review 4:The breakfast is very poor. A really angry man is serving the breakfast. Avoid the breakfast - it's a disaster!

Review 5:Nice and luxury rooms. Good location. Friendly staff in recepition even if the can't speak English.

Review 6:Bathtub had serious draining problem. According to staff, the drainingissue is permanent and not fixabale. Cigarette smoke coming from thebilliard club facility located on the lower level comes straight intothe hotel room. Elevator was stuck and the Emergency Button was not inworking condition. We were lucky to have other members of the family inthe hotel at that time. We had to call them by cell phone to help us outand to let the staff know about the elevator stuck. The hotel staff saidthat was not their problem at all.

Review 7:The location is good, the pictures on website for Sofia were attractive, the price was not cheap, suggesting that the hotel was decent, but ...

Review 8:The room, it is very rational amd convenient. There was a kettle + cups and glasses + tea and coffee in the room, which one does not often see in Russia.

Review 9:Breakfast in the bar/restaurant on the 3rd floor (room on 4th). Fair place in the evening, but very dark and strongly polluted with the smell of to many strong russian sigarettes. And most important - the breakfast was so bad that we recommend you to fire the old, grim man serving the fried raw eggs, almost hesitating to serve the guets in the morning anything at all. Get rid of him, and update the breakfast - ASAP!

Review 10:The room was of surprisingly good quality, and so was the bathroom. Next time I guess the shower also the shower will work, we had to only us the bath tub this time. Main reason to visit Tula is of course to visit the estate of world famous writer Leo Tolstoy. Or if you are a fanatic fan of beatyful russian samovars - they are made in Tula. So, like they say: "To bring a samovar to Tula, is like taking your wife on a trip to Paris!" Got it?

Review 11:Hotel was located in the city centre, on a quiet street, 5 minutes walk from the Kremlin. There was parking space in front of the hotel. Room was spacious and clean and had good (and not too noisy) air conditioning. Overall, our stay was short but pleasant!

Review 12:Breakfast did not continue after 10 am - and we were made to feel bad when we arrived for breakfast at 9.54 am

Review 13:The staff were friendly, One of us liked the bed and another liked the bathroom

Review 14:The entrance is slightly unsual, as you need to enter through the side of a shopping centre/complex. Breakfast is served in the downstairs billiard hall, and is quite basic.

Review 15:Clean and modern rooms, friendly front desk staff, and good central location.

Review 16:Sound insulation - I've heard every step at the hall. And breakfast was a little poor, but there is a 24/7 shop and some restaurants nearby.

Review 17:Nice and big rooms; hotel located near by the old part of city.

Review 18:Weak current of water

Review 19:Very Large room, classic look Very good atmosphere

Review 20:Only 8 tv channels (no СТС, ТНТ), no parking and noisy condition system

Review 21:Nice placed in the center of Tula, clean...

Review 22:the smell of sewage in the bathroom

Review 23:The price is quite high, but I guess every hotel in the area charges the same.

Review 24:Comfortable room, good bathroom.
