Review 1：Payment taken from overseas credit card was converted into THB at source (no option given), this resulted in a 6% fx fee being added to the cost. However this was rectified by reservations and accounts staff when at the hotel but did take a few days to resolve. Would recommend to state your preference currency on the booking form especially if using a none THB card with a preferential exchange rate. No Wifi in rooms No English language news channel on TV Slow Kitchen for Lunch / afternoon time

Review 9：It was clean and quiet with helpful staff ready to answer any questions. We had a problem with our air conditioning and they immediately changed our room. The breakfast was great with a broad selection and something for everyone's taste. Cocktails were amazing!

Review 11：The quiet location of the resort right at the beach about one kilometer from Fishermens Village is amazing. The resort is not the newest but definitely worth staying in. We did have a great time.

Review 14：The bed!!!! I have never spent a night in prison...but if I did...I Amsure this bed would be the standard issue. If not...it should be! It wasthe hardest bed we have ever slept on! Lying on side was actuallypainful on the hips. Air conditioning was either on or off. Toocold....then switched off...would be too hot. Not thermostat control.They could actually save electricity if they added thermostats! We wereall dried out with air running 24/7

The free wifi is only available in a weird hotel lounge room area - if you want to use wifi by the pool or in your room, then you need to pay separately for a patchy service that only works on one device at a time. The hotel is in need of many renovations and is very dated. The pool that runs through the main body of the hotel needs cleaned. The ponds throughout the hotel desperately need cleaned - they are full of disgusting stagnant water and look terrible.

Review 25：The hotel is located a little further from Fisherman's Village than the more expensive resorts, but it's still walkable and there are many other restaurants closer to the hotel. The breakfast was good. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was large and clean. The small fruit plate in the room on arrival was a nice touch.

Review 26：This is the second time I have stayed at Samui Palm Beach and I absolutely love it . The staff and the warm hospitality make it my place of destination every time.

Review 27：Booked only an hour before arrival. Welcomed even though the hotel had not received the confirmation.Lovely big rooms set in lush gardens. Large bathroom and plenty of private storage space.and hangars. Good restaurant with an excellent buffet to suit all tastes. Two lovely pools, on leading onto the beach. Maid left us fresh fruit twice during our stay. Fresh pool/beach towels delivered every evening.

Review 28：The beds are hard and very uncomfortable! Same with pillows. Shower is terrible. 20 year old TV. Place is old and run down. Beach is not too good.

Review 44：The air-condition didn't cool the first night even though the fan was working we had 28 degrees. When reported before breakfast the air-condition was promptly fixed and worked perfect before lunch. The 4. night the air-condition started to make noise during the night. This was also fixed promptly when reported. The WI-FI was a shame. First it's only available in the lobby and in the restaurant (which does not mean the bar). This is not good enough in 2015 at this price level. Even worse it was very bad where it was supposed to work. So most off the time we gave it up. The hotel was a bit worn. There were lot's of signs that it needed some renovation again for this price level.

Review 50：1. Reception - numb and not very customer oriented service. When we checked in, we asked for an extra towel the response we got was "The hotel is full, try tomorrow". On another time, a message that was sent to us via reception (cancelling of diving tour) wasn’t forwarded to us, only until we have showed up in the lobby. 2. Cleanness – when we arrived to our room right after check in, it was dirty, and it was obvious that no one attended to it, as the floor and the toilet was full of long black hair. We had to ask them to “re-clean” the room.

Some of the edges of walls could use a little work. The road it's on is not very nice if you walk to the Fisherman's market. Wifi is only free in the lounge area by reception which is poor considering it was one of the more expensive places we stayed.

Review 54：The restaurant and bar staff were really friendly and helpful. The pool and bar area were nice and you could look out over the sea easily too. Facilities were really nice and well kept. Breakfast choice was really good.

Review 65：Everything. We had big and very nice room with pool access, pool is beautiful near the beach, staff, breakfast, comfortable bed. They change towels for bath and pool everyday. We had some problem with electricity - was repaired immediately. Location is good. Near Fishmen's village. There are several restaurants around. We took a motor bike, so it was perfect for us. If you don't ride bike ans want to go to Chaweng and Lamai beach, be ready to pay for taxy/rent a car/there is resort's shuttle.

Review 66：The style and decoration of the hotel is very poor and the did notcreate a relaxing atmosphere. It should be a hotel for seminar orconference rather than for refreshing. The new royal wing claimed tohave the longest swimming pool but one side of the building is facingthe main street while the other side is the parking and any one canaccess to your room without security. The water in the bath tub wasyellow because of rusty in the water pipe. After waiting for an hour, Iskipped using it. There's no wi-fi in room and you have to pay ifyou want the service.The staff was unprofessional, they informed me topay for the room before checking in claiming that it was the hotelpolicy eventhough I asked them to pay later as I may decide to continuemy stay. They also put me to the room from the far-end of the buildingeven though I asked for the access to the pool in my booking withoutgiving any reason. So I left after one night.

Review 67：The location of the hotel is easy to reach from any direction of KohSamui no matter how you arrive there. It is closed to the FishermanVillage, a walking street for shopping and dining. Eventhough the beachof the hotel (Bophut area) is not the best area but it is peaceful andyou can do the sun bathing, swimming and jogging along the beach.
