Reviews for June Lake Motel
Review 1:Inadequate lighting at bathroom sink for shaving, also inadequate lighting at shower. Bathroom floor was not cleaned of soil left from my shoes the previous day. Toilet paper is in awkward location to reach from water closet. Upholstered chair in guest room - too low for comfortable rising and standing for us old folk.
Review 2:Large room, very spacious. Easy access from parking space.
Review 3:We thought the rooms were dark. Our patio area was dark and stuck in a corner.
Review 4:Closeness to the lakes: Gull Lake was our favorite. Weather was beautiful.
Review 5:Sence it's a motel you can hear people talking outside and in the parking lot.
Review 6:LOCATION your in the middle of town and the lakes are just down the street
Review 7:We didn't get a WiFi password before we checked-in at the front desk. It was an issue for us because we arrived late in the evening and the front desk was closed. The cleaning staff left the main door unlocked twice. Nothing got lost though.
Review 8:The motel is located next to a general store and close to the June mountain. The room was nicer and bigger than rooms in similar motels.
Review 9:My room was hot and stuffy when I checked in at 9 pm. There was no AC, so I turned on the fan and the chain broke, leaving the fan on high with no way to turn it off. There was nobody to contact for help after 9. I hate fans anyway, had to turn the heat up and sleep under extra blankets but freezing wind on my face anyway. The most I've ever spent for a motel; I was hoping for a treat not a sleepless night.
Review 10:Pretty decoration.
Review 11:A nicely remodeled motel in beautiful June Lake! The cleanest motel that I have stayed at. Perfect location to enjoy the Autumn colors of the Eastern Sierra.
Review 12:No negatives at all....
Review 13:The owner was very nice and she gave us a lot of ideas of things to do in the area for we had never been there. Very comfortable and quiet.
Review 14:Motel is convenient to our favorite fishing places and when we catch fish, there is a fish cleaning station behind the motel. We keep returning to this motel whenever we come to June Lake and Rush Creek.
Review 15:Don't remember any negatives.
Review 16:Nice room with good amount of space. Bed was comfortable, everything was clean. We'd definitely stay there again.
Review 17:June Lake is little nice place. The rooms are spacious but a little dark coloured. Big kitchenette. No airco but the night was cool and there was a fan at the ceiling. There are barbecues guests can use. We worried about noise but everyone kept quiet
Review 18:Staff seemed reluctant to accommodate at times. Asked for extra towel and got interrogated. Asked to be billed when I check out to make sure the right payment source was used and the clerk who checked me in looked at me like I was asking for his left arm. I asked to get a large trash bag for our laundry, like the ones from the outside trash cans. We were told those don't go to customers and we had to use the little liners in the room. Parking lot was small and cramped with inconsiderate people who don't know how to park between the lines. No A/C for the very warm days we were there so the windows were left open which seemed to be enough with the ceiling fan and desk fan turned on...but when smoking occurred outside, it was drawn into our room and soiled our clothes, bedding, towels.
Review 19:Located near General Store and Restaurants. Within Walking Distance to Gull Lake and June Lake. Loved the rustic-looking decor. Full kitchen was excellent. Large rooms.
Review 20:Wi-Fi is overwhelmed in the evenings and early morning. No problems in the middle of the day when everyone is gone.
Review 21:Charming, independently run motel. Location has a number of shops and restaurants within walking distance, but the lake is several blocks away and out of view. Kitchenette units are well equipped.
Review 22:Cozy
Review 23:Have stayed here before and like that it has a small kitchen, next to the market and very clean. It has great wifi which the kids love.

Review 56:Road noise.
Review 57:Clean, cozy setting. Plenty of space. Nicely decorated. Helpful staff.
Review 58:View of the parking lot
Review 59:Large room. Tiger restaurant bar up the street is great!
Review 60:Parking lot is very tight if big trunks or suvs park in it. Upstairs neighbors were noisy but motel is solid. Quiet time hours posted would help.
Review 61:looked a bit better at internet than 'in real life'
Review 62:good sized motelroom with kitchenette
Review 63:No check-in after 9pm Small bed No elevator
Review 64:Comfortable Clean
Review 65:Great location and good food!!
Review 66:Not a disadvantage but just a notice that there is no breakfast and the store is quite small, so if you are gonna cook by yourself it's better to buy vegetables and fruits in advance on your way to the motel.
Review 67:The motel is located in a very nice nature place, surrounded by lakes and mountains. Staff is very helpfull and nice, many BBQs are available, several places to have breakfast, lunch or dinner and a grocery store (small but enough) to make a breakfast by yourself. Very clean and veeeery comfortable king-size bed!
Review 68:The service was very friendly and helpful. We stayed here at June Lake as a base for our visit to Yosemite National Park. We drove into Yosemite Village every day. It took under 2 hours and the drive is brilliant with lots of great views and awesome spots to stop and enjoy the park, lakes, views, etc. Our only regret is not staying in the area longer and spending more time exploring the June Lake area more. We did enjoy the people there a lot and enjoyed having breakfast at Silver lake, 10 mins drive up the road.
Review 69:they were doing repairs at the property all day. very difficult to take a midday call with my office due to the noise.
Review 70:staff and location is very good.
Review 71:Cable Box did not work, but staff was willing to move us to other room.
Review 72:Clean, had all cooking utensils, the place smell well, no smoker room.Very nice place
Review 73:middle of nowhere, no supermarket. Motel is old, funny smell, old kitchen stuff, dark rooms, no airco, overpriced for what is offered.
Review 74:parking, wifi included
Review 75:When we travel by car, we always take our own pillows. The comforter was too heavy but it did keep us warm.
Review 76:This was our second stay at June Lake Motel. The kitchen had more pots, pans, dishes, small appliances, utensils than we had experienced anywhere else. My husband appreciated having a fish cleaning station at the back of the motel. We used the outdoor dining table on the balcony.
Review 77:Shame no breakfast included, but there is a good shop adjacent and restaurants (who do breakfast) nearby.
Review 78:Excellent room - we liked the provision of a few pots/glasses etc. We were able to sit outside and enjoy a bottle of wine.
Review 79:The Motel is very pleasant with friendly staff. It is located close to Yosemite Park and we could easily drive over every day (note, driving to the far end of the park takes however 2 hours). The room was reasonably large and clean. We were happy to see that there was a small kitchen area with a toaster, microwave and fridge. A supermarket is right next to the motel and there is also a pub and a restaurant with a take away pizza option.
Review 80:It was very hot (hotter than usual) and the hotel does not have air conditioning; some guests were smoking and the smoke blew in the windows as we slept

Review 82:there wasn't anything to dislike :o)
Review 83:A very positive surprise this motel. Very comfortable and large room. Fantastic location at June Lake and very close to Mono Lake.

Review 85:Nothing that we could think of.
Review 86:Large, spacious and quiet room with nice size fully-equipped kitchen and functional bathroom with good size shower. Friendly owner. Free gas-fired BBQs are all over the motel. Table/chairs outside of rooms on the patio/veranda.
Review 87:Outstanding, accommodating staff helped my stay when I was slightly injured in a kayak excursion. Their genuine concern turned what may have ruined a vacation into a great experience!
Review 88:No issues. It isnt five star, but its clean and safe and worth every penny if your just looking for somewhere to rest while travelling.
Review 89:Needed a place on the way from Las Vegas to Yosemite in May. this place was perfect, clean, tidy, friendly helpful staff and all in all this is all you need for somewhere to sleep. Location is central in June Lake, not to far off the interstate, Tiger bar nearby for basic meals and drinks.
