Reviews for Maridin Hotel

Review 1:The style (Architecture) of the hotel was perfect! Very traditional andbreath-taking. With a great view of the Mesopotamia Valley and a greatterrace that also has a view. Staff was great and friendly, comfort andcleanliness were excellent as well. There was Sauna and Turkish Bath ,excellent ones. Also there breakfast was very good and served in a verynice dinning room!

Review 2:Staff at the reception insisted on taking two times higher money, until we showed him the confirmation emails (Then our hotel confirmations bizarrely came out from the drawer). The breakfast was terrible. You could even see molds on cheese plate. Almost everything was stale. We stayed in the suit but jacuzzi wasn't working and the next day they had a water cut down and we couldn't manage to have shower at all. You had to pay for Sauna and Turkish bath, which wasn't a big deal but it was a surprise that they told us later.

Review 3:Hotel itself was great, it has amazing architecture. Some of the hotel staff somehow was helpful. It was a birthday of a friend and they did their best to help us out for arranging a small party.

Review 4:The rooms take you back in time for several centuries. from light bulbs to the tables, the furniture gives you the 101 nights feeling which makes the experience even more spectacular. And as for staff, they are very nice and helpful. They helped us for transportation from and to airport. We are planing to go back to Mardin and this hotel will undoubtedly be our choice again

Review 5:really bad restoran, they dont have menu, no prices,no napkins. eat for pig- water melon not red, tomats were nor red, meat was without meat- only spicy fat and viens on the bones. Salat was spoiled. I am very often in Turkey and food always be exelant in this country. problem with a map on reception

Review 7:the breakfast is good, but could be even better if there was some juice and real milk.

Review 8:Beautiful and charming room, very comfortable ( also the bathroom of high standard), view on the plain of Mesopotamia and Syria. The staff was really helpful and provided us with good practical information..and even stopped the bus for us! The hotel looks like a real palace!

Review 9:Wifi was slow

Review 10:First night they did not have the room with a view, but they upgraded us to a suit room to next day, which was excellent. Breakfast was quite rich. Overall ambiance of the hotel, stone building once used to be a school was quite impressive, it has a great view. The hotel is full of small details, decorated true authentic materials giving you the genuine experiencef the region. Staff was very kind and helpfull.

Review 11:A/c didn't work in the room until we called to have the whole system reset (handled very well by night receptionist).

Review 31:Overall we enjoyed our stay. our room was beautiful! the overall setting and views are amazing, the staff were very helpful EXCEPT... what is with the breakfast??? they gave us one slice of cheese, two olives, some nutella and old bread... it was very strange. breakfast was a total let down to an otherwise wonderful stay.

Review 32:nothing was bad.

Review 33:I loved the traditional old soukq and the cobble stone streets with the traditional old bulidings and the museum and mosques. The people speak Kurdish and they love tourist so much! The Maridin was so kind to provide me a wonderful traditional room on the main floor as well as provide me with wonderful from the very lovely resturant down below. I also loved the breakfast and the servers really took the time to make sure that all my needs were met. As I shopped around I found that the Mardin was the best priced for the money and the service was excellent.

Review 34:1. Hotel staff confused about room types. They were trying to put us in the wrong room. 2. Room did not have a closet. Very small toilets. 3. Seemed unfinished with pieces of wire and tube hanging out from roof & walls.
