Review 1：There were no choice of non-smoking room when I booked it, so I just choose one that indicated "double room". It ended up being a smoking room which smelled awful for us non smokers. When I asked if we can change room the people at front desk was really rude and said basically we get what we booked.

Review 13：The beds were very uncomfortable and made noises whenever I moved. Sticky floors and holes in walls. Not enough channels on tv, and the picture was fuzzy. WiFi did not work in the room.

Review 17：It started from the time I drove up. Broken furniture were thrown in areas of the grounds. The staff were very rude. The pool was not opened even though it looked fine. The loud activity that went on all night then early in the morning by management allowing their children to run by the rooms and yell. It was unbelievable. I read the reviews before I book but the reviews were not accurate. Do yourself a favor book any where else.

Review 19：Blood stains on our towels. Uncomfortable bed. Bathroom had holes in the walls, bathroom door kept scraping the floor when opening it. Ice bucket was dirty.
Review 20：The from desk lady with an Indian accent is so extremely rude and unwelcoming. The lady who checked me in the night before asked if I wanted a complimentary late check out and I said sure but the rude Indian lady first called me at 11:08 asking why I was not and I replied I was checking out at noon so then she called me back some 15 minutes later literally yelling that I had to be out because I checked in at 7pm...I informed her of my conversation with the lady last night but she didn't care and proceeded to yell at me and berate me for something I did not do and had to reason to not believe the employee from the night before. I left the room quickly after not feeling welcome and frankly being annoyed so I went and told her she was rude and didn't appreciate the way she yelled and me and she yelled and me some more so I just left. She is the worst! Also this hotel is very old and needs helps...there is paint missing on the walls - really large chunks, the sink knobs come off, the carpet is filthy so I never took off my shoes and thank God I had slippers, all the fixtures are old and the whole property is not kept up. Talk about thin walls!! Wow I had a porn going on all around me. I think the bar next door causes as lot of people to rent a room because after 2 am all I heard around me were couples and I heard very clearly with the crazy thin walls. Stay elsewhere this was not a pleasant experience. The vagabond across the street for the same amount is sooooo much better!!

Review 41：I liked that it was clean, and the room was good sized. Many place in the area to get something to eat. 24 hrs The had a tavern right in the front of the place, was able to go okay pool, have a few drinks to relax after drive and was then able to walk back to my room.
Review 42：I had to go to a hotel while renovations were being down in my condo so I prepaid for 9 days and the clerk said if I leave early I'll be refunded. I left on the 8th day and when I went to get a refund the clerk screamed and yelled at me and refused to pay me the full amount saying they keep the tax! I paid in full the amount of the room and taxes before hand and the copy of the bill clearly stated they owe me the room price plus taxes I had paid in advance. So I say beware people they are rip off crooks and I will never stay there again. Besides the bed is hard as a rock and the carpet was filthy dirty.

Review 54：The Sinister rude manager and his wife. They were so rude that I felt like I was a foreigner lost in their country of origin. The Manager a Elder guy of East Indian descent treated me and other friend really nasty. The house keeping staff doesn't speak any English, they just look at u when you ask them a question and stare at you like you're crazy. The carpet in the room was cut out in one section of the room and the bathroom had a funky odor. Needless to say the swimming pool is not up to code. This hotel in itself is fairly decent it just need a new owner and management because right now the present ones stinks. They need a crash course in Hotel Management, Etiquette and Hospitality. I will never go back to this hotel if it's the last one in Whittier.

Review 56：I did not like the fact of the miscommunication with the cleaning staff they refuse to speak english and if you say anything they go back and speak In there language they did not leave towels in the bathroom and touch peoples things without asking permission and the new management staff is horrible when I confronted him about where our stuff was in are room they claim we were checking out which we were not they had all are stuff in the cleaning room thrown in a big brown box yelling at me that check out was at 11am and that we should take all our stuff and did not seem to want the house keeper to take our stuff upstairs as well as the pool still being closed not up to regulations as well as the sheets need I say more please do not come here unless its for night and need I mention the stale pastry and coffee from the ninety nine cent store
Review 57：One of the two beds were unmade when I got into the room, normally I wouldn't care though this time I was being instructed on my mistake for using the second one even though I didn't. Management seemed to lack proper English and was very hard to understand. And I was not instructed on the proper time I had to leave the room, that I could understand at least. While leaving, because I had overstayed due to lack of knowledge, I was told to just be quite and get out. Because the cleaning lady was there when I was trying to ask a question. Anything not mentioned in the "What did you like?" section. I will not stay there again nor will I recommend it to any friends or coworkers I know.
