Reviews for Queen Anne Inn

Review 1:The only negative was when we returned from a day of exploring, our room was left unlocked after they had cleaned.

Review 2:The inn was very charming with a mix of old and new. The room was very comfortable.

Review 3:We were in town for a wedding and wanted an easy place to stay. It ended up being a great little getaway. A very pleasant surprise. Breakfast was great too!

Review 4:well appointed bedroom, comfortable bed, good linen. Staff helpful and courteous. Lovely atmosphere for a restful stay. Central to all tourist attractions but a quiet area to stay.

Review 5:The whole experience was first class from the beautiful inn itself to the super friendly and helpful staff and the excellent room. I was particularly pleased by the wonderful, hardworking staff. Also we had 2 excellent meals in the restaurant. The room was spacious and had lovely furniture and a large terrace. The public rooms are full of historic touches and comfortable. And the town of Chatham is lovely, lively and surrounded by beautiful dunes and seaside walks!

Review 6:Bad bed - cheap foam pad Poor lighting - only on bedside tables NO heat. Staff had to bring in portable heater

Review 7:VERY friendly staff that really tried to provide solutions.

Review 8:if the drain in the tub worked then all of the (really) rusty water could have ran out window a/c but no thermostat to control heat over priced

Review 9:not much

Review 10:When we came in to register the receptionist at the desk was on the phone, engaged in what seemed to be a private conversation and we waited a bit for that to end. Have to say, it all went well after that.

Review 11:This is an inn that serves full American breakfasts, as well as Continental for those who prefer that. They have serve fabulous fish cakes with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce that left me swooning. Everything they serve is made in-house. The coffee just keeps coming. All this is a charming breakfast room or in the larger dining room. We had to leave early to catch a ferry and they prepared Continental breakfast to go. Top marks for efficiency. The manager is a personable, very bright young woman who cheerfully answered all our questions. One evening we came in late. The dining room was just closing, but they kept it open for us. High marks for flexibility. I commented on the fresh smell of their towels and was told everything used is natural, no bleach or harsh chemicals. Same for their toiletries. We were on the second floor, up a winding staircase and they graciously carried our luggage up and down for us.

Review 12:Handsome, but greatly over-sized furnishings made the large cottage room cramped. Thin walls between loud neighbors. Resturant menu limited, and breakfast indifferently prepared. (Bread not toasted, eggs not seasoned etc)

Review 13:Very nice, hard working, and attentive staff who addressed any question or complaint courteously, and quickly. Very clean facility. Close enough to downtown to walk to dinner. Received room upgrade. Homemade Dessert, (peach sorbet) Fresh and above average. Dry parking space provided for bikes.

Review 14:Some of the facilities are in need of refreshing or updating e.g. peeling paint, old bathroom fixtures like toilet that almost doesn't flush, loose knobs on taps, shower head not well fixed...

Review 15:Staff members consistently attentive and friendly Atmosphere is quaint and attractive

Review 16:Staff are so very helpful. I lost my keys and they turned the office upside down and notified other staff to keep an eye out. (found them!) There is a personal feel here, even though it's not a small place. Much of the lobby and some of the rooms have wonderful hand-painted scenes.

Review 17:The place has a very old smell and needs a fresh coat of paint and the carpets need cleaning or replacement.. The dining room is very 70ish looking with green marbeling...very dark and not inviting. The basement is moldy and dingy. The towels at the pool need to be replaced. In all this place was tired and is in need of major repairs.

Review 18:Location was great. Breakfast was good but their menu was very confusing. There was no clear indication of what was included and what was extra??? The servers and house keeping staff were amazing and very polite and accommodating.

Review 19:We were cold and had to ask for a heater for our room on the second night. Breakfast is a choice of set dishes to order any variation there is an extra cost seemed overly complicated to us.

Review 20:Historic Old Inn with lovely Antiques. The Breakfast was exceptional. Front of house staff did their best to help us enjoy Chatham.

Review 21:Can't think of anything.

Review 22:Nice area - close to Main Street restaurants and shops Friendly and attentive staff Comfortable beds and nice bath products.

Review 23:Mattresses very hard, wifi weak and hard to get or stay onto. Restaurant doesn't open until after Memorial Day neither does pool, this should have been noted on Booking.com but wasn't.

Review 24:Staff very helpful, attractive rooms, good location.

Review 25:I did not like the staircase. The walls were very thin. I thought I would be able to press my clothes a little, as I was going to a wedding. You had no iron or ironing board. It was ok seeing we were only staying one night.

Review 26:I loved full breakfast in the morning. The staff was very pleasant!

Review 27:My only criticism is I found out mattress a bit hard not to my liking. But this wouldn't prevent a return stay

Review 28:The location worked well for us. Our room was basic and v clean. We enjoyed breakfast each morning during our stay and waitstaff excellent

Review 29:can't think of anything

Review 30:Great service. Lovely breakfast with lots of choices. Very pleasant looking hotel, with prime location walking distance to the center of the Chatham downtown. Also has a pool, and is walking distance to both the beach and Oyster Pond. Adequate parking too.

Review 31:beds were a little hard but I didn't miss any sleep

Review 32:charming and quaint, sitting on the front porch, the friendly and attentive staff, excellent breakfast every day

Review 33:Indoor seating a little uncomfortable for reading, but that's the nature of antique furniture. Also, a family from Canada arrived, and failed to mention to staff that they were bringing SEVEN out of control, undisciplined, noisy, rude children. Staff DID tell them to get them under control, and that helped. With all the expensive furnishings, and quiet, restful atmosphere, this is not a place for children.

Review 34:Charming rooms, antique furniture, lovely balcony for relaxing and reading. Delicious breakfasts. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very clean. Lovely orange-scented lotions and shampoo provided. Easy walk to downtown Chatham.

Review 35:Location was brilliant as so close to the Main Street.

Review 36:Leaving Cape Cod!

Review 37:The staff, location, the building itself and the breakfast

Review 38:The bed could have been a tad softer.

Review 39:However, a very nice & friendly staff, and excellent hotel restaurant. Thoroughly charming. Very Cape Cod.

Review 40:Enjoyed the spaciousness of the room, and the helpfulness of the staff. The garden was lovely,

Review 42:The location, close to Main street & beaches. The town of Chatham is very nice.

Review 43:Nothing. All good

Review 44:Lovely atmosphere. Spacious room.

Review 45:Staff very efficient and friendly. Great location just outside town centre but close enough to walk in. excellent car parking

Review 46:Nice place with nice service, old facilities. Food was good!

Review 47:Quiet

Review 48:Extremely nice and helpful staff. Great value for money.

Review 49:no fridg, no iron

Review 50:Wonderful helpful staff, delicious breakfasts, perfect location.

Review 51:housekeeping concerning condition of furniture, bathrooms, doors and etc. are poor

Review 54:Traffic noise was an issue with our room facing the street

Review 55:Breakfast and staff

Review 56:Extremely helpful and pleasant staff who went out of their way to provide information and support in arranging activities

Review 57:The bed was uncomfortable. More for adults not very child friendly.

Review 58:Location was perfect .

Review 59:A little noisy with foot traffic near the stairs but not to the point that I would not return. The charm certainly outweighs this minor annoyance

Review 60:Absolute charm and welcoming staff, such a wonderful atmosphere, would definitely come back given the opportunity

Review 61:There was nothing to be displeased about. One minor item is lack oflighting by bathroom sink which made shaving a real adventure.

Review 62:Very friendly and helpful staff. Provided a lot of information. Nicelounge area. Nice Breakfasts and friendly waitresses.. Clean wellappointed rooms. Convenient Parking.

Review 63:Bed was sooooo bad they need to add new mattress to room 39. Also the light next to the bed did not work. No staff to help with luggage. Table on balcony was broken only 3 chairs on balcony . Would not stay again

Review 64:Location is perfect to town

Review 65:Great from TOP(The owner).TO Mr Steadman who took care of thegounds.GABBY Who worked everywhere was the best.My wife and Iwanted to take her home with us. ,Because of the entire staff Iwill return next year

Review 66:Getting a little bit tired round the edges, patio door didn't shut properly in our room. Son's room kept running out of hot water for shower.

Review 67:Old world charm and helpfulness and friendliness of staff. Toleteries provided. Relaxed atmosphere. Use of Common Room and computer. Bar area and breakfast area.

Review 68:Mattresses/bed was not comfortable. We changed rooms but no improvement. First room had mold between tiles in bathroom

Review 69:nice location, had been there before. Went to surprise my husband for his 65th birthday

Review 70:The mattresses weren't that comfortable. It would have been nice tohave a Queen or King bed instead of two double beds. We would have likedthe included breakfast explained a bit more in detail. We didn'trealize that when you were asked if you wanted another juice that youwould be charged for it. It would be nice to have a mini fridge in theroom. These are more suggestions than anything. It's not that wereally were very upset about these things.

Review 71:The staff was incredibly friendly, warm, polite, and ultra professional. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. We also had drinks in thelounge and enjoyed the Mediterranean Platter. The lounge, dining room, and garden room were all lovely, warm, inviting, and relaxing. We alsoloved having a balcony and the Inn was very quiet at night- wonderfulfor sleeping!

Review 72:Bed was too soft, shower had mold and peeling porcelain in tub, my lady saw what she thought was a flea jump in the bathroom. Walls are thin. TV is old and small, not enough parking.

Review 73:Charming decor, friendly staff, nice breakfast.

Review 74:Would have liked a sofa or two chairs rather than a daybed for sitting. On the balcony would prefer chairs to the lounges.

Review 75:Staff could not be more helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant.

Review 76:The property is quite dated and needs some attention. The accommodation was expensive relative to the age and location of the property

Review 77:The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure that we felt at home.

Review 78:No staff stayed in the hotel after 9pm. The lounge was getting renovated, stairs very steep up to first floor, no evening meals provided, lumpy bed, just awful. We left after first night but paid for 4 they allowed no credit for the 3 nights we didn't stay

Review 79:The breakfast was fine

Review 80:The rooms have thin walls so you hear other guests a little bit (not in a disturbing way)

Review 81:The rooms are very cosy and the location is perfect, walking distance from the city center. The hotel has a pool for hotel guests and free parking.

Review 82:would not change one single thing.

Review 83:our family upgraded us to the carriage house suite as a surprise.Inkeepers delighted to make arrangements , order flowers and champagne as requested. They delighted in the surprise and joy for us. Wonderful atmosphere, people, cuisine, and a luxury suite. Our second stay there for an anniversary. plan to visit more often. AAA all the way.

Review 84:We have stayed here before and the staff was great..Joni at the desk gave us great tips as to what restaurant to go to and what ones that might not be of our taste.. She was very helpfull.

Review 85:Staff was excellent. Very much enjoyed atomosphere and entire setting.

Review 86:Cold tea and coffee and breakfast - is the kitchen too far from the dining room/café?

Review 87:Nice accommodation - characterful!

Review 88:The staff was superb and the room beautiful.

Review 89:Hair Dryer didn't work and none under the sink. Phone didn't work. No hot water and had to bath upstairs in another room.
