Reviews for Reyhani Kasri Hotel

Review 1:Very uncomfortable beds, that were too high, hard mattresses and the beds have wheels.

Review 2:Beautiful old building in the heart of old Mardin, fantastic views over Mesopotamia from the terrace and modern rooms

Review 3:- The breakfast could be better (especially according to standards among Turkish hotels) - The staff does not really speak English (except Hanse Aba: thanks for your help) - I asked the desk to book me a driver to go to a old monastery out of the city. The price was set for 50 Turkish Liras, a fair deal. However, one of the hotel staff then spoke with the driver, saying he was his friend, and in the end, after the driver drove me at the bus station, he asked me 98 Turkish Liras... I paid because I had not any choice but I did not appreciate

Review 4:The location of this hotel is perfect: in the middle of Mardin old-town, with a very nice view, so ideal to visit when you want the old-city and its numerous historical places

Review 5:Menu a bit dissapointing. Dirty bed linen left in the corridor on the sette for half a day.

Review 6:Staff and accommodation in the main good. Some attention to detail needed.

Review 7:The young receptionist Hanse was one of the kindest ever met and helped in a number of ways. Parking could have been a nightmare, but the staff took care of everything. The 20$ supplement of the terrace were an excellent luxury.

Review 8:Even though we have booked a deluxe room they arranged the suite room. We had our own terrace with the best view of Mesopotamia. Staff was friendly and helpful. enjoying the sunset from the skyterrace was terrific. Everything was nealy perfect.

Review 9:It seems there was no soundproofing installed. Room 201 is exceptionally loud as it located near reception. It felt like every other guest and the staff were in the room with me!

Review 10:Very comfortable facilities. The staff were friendly, the breakfast generous and delicious. The views from the roof top and breakfast area are amazing.

Review 11:I liked the location of the hotel and staff were very friendly, view from hotel just amazing. Breakfast was very good as well. We booked a room but we were surprised for upgrade to a very nice sweet and balcony overlooking the extended plains.er and Murat also who provided us with information and assisted us in parking. Farouk as well who supervised the restaurant with his information how to make some dishes in replying to my wife questions. Special thanks go to Murat fron desk mang

Review 12:Nothing.

Review 13:Everything. The Manager, Mr. Zeinab, as well as the reception were so helpful. I would definitely stay here the next time I come back to Mardin.

Review 14:The hotel is a renovated historical stone house overlooking the city. The Tarrace has a gorgeous view. Everything is luxurious and historical at the same time.

Review 15:That a hotel does not serve alcohol in modern Turkey is ridiculous. A rooftop restaurant opposite serves a full bar.

Review 16:Location, ambience of hotel, terraces, ample breakfast

Review 17:My room was quite small and faced a brick wall. But there are nicer rooms if you can get them.

Review 18:The staff were polite and helpful and it was a good location. Some rooms in the hotel have a great view. There are three nice terraces out the back.

Review 19:Staff were good but not overly friendly and welcoming in some instances. The power kept going off regularly -this May be a problem in Mardin generally?

Review 20:Well located. Wonderful view from the hotel's terraces and balconies. Nice large well equipped room for a reasonable price.

Review 21:Parking only with support of staff possible

Review 22:Location and well maintained hotel

Review 23:nothing

Review 24:I like skyterrace of hotel for photography and friendly staff.

Review 25:friendly staff comfortable location is right in the centre of all tourist attraction

Review 26:Nice terrace

Review 27:No wifi No helpful staff No english speaking staff

Review 28:Only view of hotel

Review 29:very friendly & helpful staff. Great breakfast with stunning view.

Review 30:staff english is fair

Review 31:the terrace has good view

Review 32:No black coffee nor black tea in the room.

Review 33:The view out the window was beautiful. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the terrace. We had an especially good time sitting under an umbrella on a non-restaurant terrace and talking with friends.

Review 34:The food was so so, the service at the restaurant was slow. Mostprobably they are understaffed. Otherwise the staff was nice

Review 35:We stayed at the hotel for two bights at 108 eur. We ha a room facing awall, but as the price was very good for three people it was okay.Otherwise I woudl complain since the room faced a wall and we did nothave much light. The from rooms have very nice view though. The staff isnice too, but a bite slow

Review 36:The staff were excellent with good English skills for the most part. They were helpful in providing information about Mardin and assisting with a tour. The hotel was very quiet, clean.Wifi was very fast and always accessible.

Review 37:The hotel did not respond to an e-mail question before my stay - could have been a deal-breaker because I almost cancelled my reservation. Luckily I didn't. If a hotel advertises an e-mail address it MUST respond. The restaurant was not really open in the evenings, only 2 dishes were available, lentil soup, probably from the breakfast buffet, and a single kebab dish. So I went to Antik Sur across the road for an excellent meal. And the room itself did not have a view, however the magnificent terrace was only a few steps away.

Review 38:Comfortable rooms, the best on my SE Turkey trip. Excellent breakfast - with view ! Good location on main street in Old Mardin, but no noise in room.

Review 39:Parking is an hassle. You have to call the hotel within a mile prior to your arrival and ask for a valet to park the car.

Review 40:The hotel is centrally located. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Review 41:We have a room with a balcony that has an amazing view to Mezapotamia. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and if I go to Mardin it will be my choice if stay again. As a location it is close to all of the must see places.

Review 42:could not drink a bottle of wine on the terrace. the sink leaked difficult to clean the toilet

Review 43:position, cleanliness very nice view of mesopotamian plains

Review 44:Not everybody in the hotel speaks english, but they are very kind and willing to help.

Review 45:The lokation is excellent - in the midle of old Mardin - on the main street, so that taxi or rentacar can stop at the entrance of the hotel. (A lot of small streets are just for donkeys - indeed!) The view from the terase in fabelous, the whole Mesopotamia is in front of you... The breakfast is good.

Review 46:The description on Booking.com mentioned a view. In fact my room opened onto a wall and was totally dark, even at noon. The reception desk employees were also a bit stiff... In short I was disappointed.

Review 47:The location is good and the facilities are comfortable

Review 48:People working in the hotel are supernice, eager to help. I had a huge room (305) with views over Mesopotamia and 2 big TV screens. Wifi works fast and hotel is located in the heart of the beautiful Mardin. Worthy to visit, completely different from Istanbul :)

Review 49:My only suggestion is that such a fantastic place would serve alcohol.

Review 50:Warm welcome from the receptionists, the rest of the staff were very kind and helpful also. The location of the hotel is ideal. The breakfast and the food was very good.

Review 51:A/C in the room is controlled from the reception, so when I wanted to adjust the temperature or turn up the fan, I had to call them. The most idiotic system ever. On top of that: they didn't get it two out of three times I called, so nothing happened. It added to a general sense that the hotel is poorly managed.

Review 52:I prefer the fresh air of open windows but the early morning call to prayer was quite jarring. Staff's English needs polishing.

Review 53:A four star experience. Wonderful setting overlooking the vast plain. Great breakfast on the terrace. Professional staff.

Review 54:More English and some local information, maps etc. would have been appreciated.

Review 55:Lovely restored house in central location, with modern interior and facilities. next to the Erdoga, more traditional style and even more luxurious.

Review 56:The old city of Mardin ended up being one of the best places we visited in Turkey and the hotel likewise one of the best we stayed in. It is ideally located both to explore Mardin and for its views over the Mesopotamian plain below. We stayed in a deluxe double room, 207 and it was terrific. It had a balcony which was lovely to sit on and just enjoy the view and justified the extra cost on its own. The bathroom was probably the best we had in our time in Turkey. The large showerhead and spacious shower were a treat. The breakfast buffet was great as was the view from the terrace of the breakfast room. The manager spoke excellent English, was very approachable and friendly, had some great restaurant recommendations (although all the restaurants we tried we enjoyed) and was exceedingly helpful in getting us a car arranged to go and explore Dara. We would absolutely stay there again if and when we get back to Mardin.

Review 57:Though, I didn't try the restaurant for dinner or lunch, I think the Hotel is not so assertive on it. But this is not a problem, since there are very good established local restaurants in walking distance from the hotel.

Review 58:I would recommend this hotel for anyone and was well worth it!! Staff was very helpful and professional. I really mean it. From security to restaurant, from reception to manager, every person who work there was great. Location and terrace view is perfect. Rooms was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good enough.

Review 59:We wanted to have a meal in their restaurant but apparently there was no menu. It is nice of them to think they could compose a dish for us but we would have liked to see some examples. Also, there seemed to be no prices.

Review 60:The view from our room was superb, right across the Mesopotamian Plain, just as İ had hoped. The bathroom had good quality taps, shower heads etc, all in good working order. The breakfast was extensive, mainly Turkish but of very good quality. I liked the excellent furniture in the hotel, it was well made and beautiful. The staff tried really hard to help us with a possible change of flight.

Review 61:No so much a negative, but just to make others aware that it is an alcohol free hotel.

Review 62:The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was fantastic with incredible terrace views over Mesopotamia.

Review 63:Staff did not help in pointing to other locations in the city to visit. They tried to discourage us from going to any restaurant other than their own.

Review 64:Very good design hotel, very clean and comfortable. Nice location.

Review 65:I had made my reservation 7-8 months ago prior to my arrival and askedfor a room with a view. But I got a room facing to a wall only. When Iasked the reason at the lobby, they told me that propably a family whojust showed up before me insisted also room with a view. And they gavemy room to these people !! I mean what's the point of makingreservation and sending requests notes from the Booking.com, if theyjust won't care ? secondy, the gentleman at the reception had made acalculation error with euro/turkish lira exhange rate and asked memore than the normal price. After my warning, he corrected his mistake (that was a real mistake by the way, nothing on purpose) Mardin'smain road was under construction at the time of my visit and does notlook that it will not finish soon, which makes the trip more difficultfor pedestrians. This has nothing to do with the hotel of course.

Review 66:Hotel has a very good location , looking to Mezopotamia valley.Rooms areclean and well equipped. Breakfast is nice with lots of choice of localcheese.Hotel staff is mostly gentle and helpful, although I had a littleproblem in the reception desk.

Review 67:Taxi cost to airport was higher than expected. Should have alternatives to getting to airport. Restaurant prices at hotel were high.

Review 68:Extremely helpful staff and reception desk, great location, central to sites. Great breakfast selection. Room was comfortable and clean.

Review 69:Upon arriving there were several large flies buzzing around thebathroom. Some one took care of them but it was a bit off putting. Alsothe room was very hot and when I wanted to turn on the fan / ac Iwas told that the individual rooms were not adjustable.

Review 70:Good location on the Main Street, modern decor. Great breakfastselection. Good value, having stayed at a more expensive hotel inMardin before.

Review 71:Get a room on the south with a view if you can. Many of the rooms have no view at all. Still, they are clean and modern.

Review 72:It is a very clean, modern hotel with fantastic views down to and across the Mesopotamian plains. It is well located in the heart of the old city. Their decks and especially their top sky terrace has wonderful views of the city and the plains. Staff was excellent and very helpful. The room was first rate.

Review 73:We have booked a de luxe room with balcony for 5 nights. Instead we were assigned to a room (104) without balcony. Much worse was the loudly and constant noise from the central airconditioning system just outside the window. We complainted just after arrival and was immidately moved to a very nice room (107) with balcony and without significant noise.

Review 74:The hotel is situated in Mardin town centre. From several rooms, terraces and the breakfast room there are great views over Mesopotamia. Rooms are spacious, very clean, good bath rooms, heating, TV, WiFi and some have a balcony. The breakfast buffet was very good. Staff was helpfull and could speak English or German. The hotel offers a car with an experienced driver for 60 Euros a day plus fuel and lunch for the driver. We strongly recommed to use this service as it is difficult for foreigners to locate the highlights in the area. We nerver tried the hotels restaurant. Instead we tried the 2 other dinings options in town with an alcohol license (Assyrian wine).

Review 75:Staff very professional and kind, the room was really comfortable and the hotel has wonderful views from the terraces. Easy access from street - no flights of stairs as needed for access to some of the hotels. Thoroughly recommend this hotel having tried one of the so called boutique variety in an old renovated building......

Review 76:internet connection not up to scratch also the wall painting in my particular room could do with a lick of paint but that's to to carelessness of previous guests

Review 77:liked the decor and that it is in the main street of old Mardin

Review 78:I would prefer more organic and local food at the breakfast and they only offer mainstream newspapers to the visitors. we would like more local options

Review 79:Reyhani Kasrı Hotel is perfect for the Mardin visitors. It is located in the middle of the old city and has one of the most beautiful views in the world. We stayed at room 204-probably the best hotel after the suite:) The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Review 80:Room we had did not have a view

Review 81:Location on the main street in the old part of town. View over valley below from the restaurant. Good regional meals.

Review 82:Nothing to say, only one recommendation: The hotel should serve beer and wine as a minimum.

Review 83:All is perfect !!!

Review 84:Bedding - no top sheet,

Review 85:location, staff, eating areas, food, view

Review 86:bed,pillows

Review 87:great location,staff

Review 88:没有"Do Not Disturb"的门牌 ... 餐厅的午饭晚饭略贵,但在这小地方还算一个可行的选择

Review 89:房间干净,热水稳定 ... 楼顶的风景非常好,部分高等级的房间也有很好的景色 ... 可以帮忙叫车去机场

Review 90:I don't remember any negative situation

Review 113:Sitting chair in the room was uncomfortable.

Review 114:Location and friendliness.

Review 115:Location of TV was bad.Hot water problem.
