Review 1：Had a lot of problems with room arragements. Had to continue to talk to front desk about style of room. Room only good for 2 people. We had 4 ladies. Just a lot of aggravation on my part. Breakfest just ok place needs updating.

Review 3：heat system noisy and not easy to control; too much traffic at that end of Beach Ave. Esp. could not BEAR cold austere room for breakfast though food was good and service and staff fine - but it was so ugly, an afterthought - your guests deserve far better some sort of machine outside #227 from roof down never stopped roaring so I could not hear the sea

Review 5：Room had a large gap around the door letting ice cold air into the room. (203) Kitchenette sink faucet was loose. Bathroom shelf over toilet intruded on your back when sitting, place looked tired and needs refreshing.

Review 9：My meal in the restaurant was not up to standards for a hotel like the Lafayette. Steak was full of grizzle, onion and mushroom topping had been burnt slightly giving the steak a bitter taste. My partners seafood dinner was excellent. The shower head in the bathroom was so restricted that a real shower was impossible.

Review 10：The quiet atmosphere was wonderful. The property was well maintained and the layout of the rooms is great. All rooms face the ocean.

Review 11：This location needs a major updating. Rooms were clean, but showed its age. The rug may have been there since the location opened. Even with the good location we would not stay here in the future.

Review 13：Although the room was clean there was a lack of maintenance and the bathroom was very small. When using the blow dryer it tripped a breaker. The door latch on the room door was broken. There was mold in the bathtub where the tub wall meets the tub itself. Renovations were poorly done.

Review 17：The mattress in the beds are old and the mattress in the couch was very old and thin. Gave my son a backache. This should be replaced asap. There was no reception for internet. Wi-Fi was not working properly

Not to mention that our key card didn't work. We had to have them replaced four times

Review 62：The hotel is extremely overpriced for what it's like. I would've paid about half of what I did. The rooms smell musty and from what we found, the elevator was the only form of transportation to your room so it was a hassle to keep going through the lobby just to get something you may have forgotten in your room. If you can, stay somewhere else for the price. You're definitely paying for the oceanfront location.

Review 63：The hotel is right in front of the beach and it was nice to sit on the balcony and watch the night life and ocean. The breakfast buffet was great.

Review 64：Fan didn't work in bedroom, and no air conditioning. Parking was hard to find, but an extra lot was on other side of another place but a walk with a disabled child and luggage. Pool closes too early 8 pm. My child was disappointed that we didn't get to swim. We also had to wait awhile to check in because our reservation could not be found since I used online service to book the room.

Review 87：The rooms were a little worse for wear - fridge could not fit under counter so it was left sticking out in the pass through. Outlet covers hanging off and not enough plugs for appliances and our chargers. Wifi was horrible. Light for the parking lot was attached to our balcony so it was never completely dark at night. The beds were super uncomfortable - thought maybe it was me but no, none slept well. The pool bar was closed one day because they had no staff to work it. Which is not a deal breaker but a hotel of that size should have coverage for all jobs, plus some. Probably would not go back. Needs some updating and sprucing up.
