Reviews for Chatham Bars Inn

Review 1:This amazing property was first class in every way! The staff was fabulous...from front desk to concierge to the young men who chauffeured us to and from town. We enjoyed every minute of our stay!

Review 2:Expensive!!! Obscene prices for wine, you pay a lot of money to Stay at the hotel/spa and felt they exploited that with the prices of the booze.

Review 3:Loved the estate, beautiful place and the staff couldn't help you enough. Food was lovely and reasonable price.

Review 4:Staff. Nice. But not mature hotel team/not particularly well trained. More often than not if we had a question we heard I'm not sure/I would have to ask someone. But then they wouldn't offer to go find out until we prompted them. Also continued to see abbreviated hours at dining venues due to accommodating larger conference needs

Review 5:Food was consistently good. Although I thought we would see more menu variation in the different CBI dining options. Beautiful grounds and amenities

Review 6:room so disappointing, thought it would be a suite, with some separation and seating area, no comfy chair to read, get some hooks for the bath or at least a little table

Review 7:location to beach, town, availability of bikes, tennis courts and boat to north island (and the seals), morning coffee and mini muffins

Review 8:Wasn't "bad", but communication lacking regarding breakfast. When we were seated on the patio, no one gave us a menu or directed us to where we might find buffet, or that there was a choice for ala carte if we dined inside but not outside. Beautiful breakfast buffet but very pricey at about $90 for breakfast for 2! Very delicious. Thought it should be included in the cost of the stay.

Review 9:Gorgeous with great ocean view , upscale, very clean, wonderful food!

Review 10:2nd full day, our room was not cleaned, however turn down service was offered, when we were ready for bed. Bad timing. I had seen this problem addressed on other reviews and thought nothing of it, until it happened to me. Evidently it was not corrected. Too pricey for this to be a problem.

Review 11:Location, Location, Location!

Review 12:I was traveling with my husband for a very rare night away from the kids. I was so disappointed that they put us in a room with two double beds when they could easily have put us in room with one queen which would have been more appropriate. Also, we paid $599 for the room and were then charges $30 to use the tennis court. I think when you are paying that much for a room you should be able to use basic hotel facilities without a extra charge. What are you paying for if not the use of the hotel?

Review 13:Great location, great food and very nice staff

Review 14:I had arrived late and was looking forward to the pool. There were no more towels. The pool restroom was very dirty w no toilet paper. Very disappointing. It was my birthday and I splurged.

Review 15:Kids were nice.

Review 16:Booked the room so that I could eat in the dining room and look at the sea. It was booked by private parties and unavailable to hotel guestsost of the time

Review 17:Not enough inside casual space. Bar way too small. Hard to get a drink, no seats. Large spacious room in front with awkward seating, minimal wait staff. I overheard people ready to leave because no seats - anywhere. Overall inside needs updating.

Review 18:Beautiful location.

Review 19:It was low season and the main dining room was not in use. I would love to go back in the summer.

Review 20:The staff was friendly and attentive. The room and surroundings are beautiful. The spa massage was wonderful. All in all it was an extremely pleasant stay.

Review 21:No disappointments.

Review 22:The location , the grounds, and the main building are spectacular. The staff are gracious and helpful!

Review 23:The place was very nice the staff first class we will be back

Review 24:Reservations needed for all restaurants; not everything worked in our cottage.

Review 25:Beautifully maintained grounds; very friendly staff; a special place

Review 26:The walls are to thin, soundproofing is needed.

Review 27:We could hear noise from the unit above us.

Review 28:SMALL ROOM. NO COMFORTABLE CHAIRS. DIFFICULT TO WATCH TV EXCEPT FROM SIDE OF BED.

Review 29:EXCELLENT SERVICE AND AMENITIES. EXCELLENT FOOD.

Review 54:The location and service.

Review 55:Nothing

Review 56:Staff, greetings each and every time, food, beauty of the place and very peaceful. We loved every moment.

Review 57:Great location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, pleasant atmosphere

Review 58:Very bad value for money - quality of beach, pool and employees do not match the price. Restaurants, activities also over priced

Review 59:Good location on Cape Cod. Good quality cottages.

Review 60:Very over rated. Wouldn't stay again, food very poorl quality, drinkincredibly expensive, trades on the lack of other hotels in cape cod.Worst value of any quality hotel I have ever visited

Review 61:Room was clean and decent bed

Review 62:The level of service was phenomenal! All of the staff went above and beyond the call of duty in whatever role they served in. This alone made CBI an amazing place to vacation at! We can't wait to return!

Review 63:food a real disapointment understand out of season however way better food in town which is a shame

Review 64:views amazing staff could not be nicer or more helpfull

Review 65:Rip off of a "resort fee" of $10 per day to cover free shuttlewe never knew about, valet parking (not used) and Wi-Fi (which otherproperties can include in rates that are far lower. Staff hear butdon't listen. Nowhere near the quality of a luxury retreat to matchprices being charged even taking into account the reduced tariff viabooking.com. Room was stripped of mini bar (assume that was done as theywere offering a school holiday special to improve occupancy but we werea middle aged couple who had not booked with any children). A lot offacilities "closed for season" and only the backbar/tavern open for dinner of a night so no chance of having dinnerwith the view that is their best asset. Astounded to find this is partof the Leading Hotels of the World group. Does not deliver in comparisonto some of their other properties.

Review 66:Location is lovely Porters & valets were very friendly and actuallylistened when having a conversation Rooms well presented and clean

Review 67:I wish we got more guidance of Chatham and the history. I also was solda "house" for $405 per night and we got 1/3 of a housewith 1 bedroom and a pullout couch.

Review 68:Beautiful spot

Review 69:We ate at the tavern and we had. Very rude waitress. We bought a veryexpensive bottle of Chardonnay that came to us very warm. We were toldyah but I putting it on ice for you. She never brought us bread andargued about the wine being warm. The next day went to the bar in theafternoon and the same waitress was there. When she saw my husband thefirst thing she said was do you want a glass of Chardonnay. Very rude.People on the phone were rude and The man taking room service orders wasvery rude. When I first got there thought this would be a great placefor my daughter to Get married. Now, no thank you.

Review 70:I liked that we had a car to drive us where we needed to be.

Review 71:Asolutely nothing!

Review 72:Fabulous location and facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Dining there was a wonderful experience. Rooms were exceptional. Overall really first class

Review 73:Just a bit short-staffed.

Review 74:Everything - except a bit thin on numbers of staff. The staff who were there were excellent, especially Ivan from Bulgaria, who served us breakfast. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The location and views are unparalleled. Wish we were still there! Can't wait to return...
