Review 1：maintence needs to be done asap. broken ceiling fan, towel rack, and locks on bathroom door. just little stuff that should be done before the next person stays.

Review 2：loved the fact that the bedroom is in the back of the room and the living room in the front. i never heard anyone outside. liked the location. quiet area and not close to the main streets. didn't use the pool since we were there in december but it looked very nice.

Review 10：Door very hard to unlock- had to get help from staff a few times, they said you had to turn the key hard to the left- wonder why they made it so hard to do?--also first night there, the shower didn't have warm water- so we had to take a cold one, which sucked b/c it was a cold night.

Review 11：Good, clean place- I liked the view, and we had a great room on the 2nd floor. Room is comfortable and warm!

Review 12：We did not like that there were dogs at the hotel. They were very noisy. Also, we were on the lower level and the people above us were very heavy on their feet.

Review 14：The facility needs renovated.. Walls had marks all over them. The shower didn't have any place to put shampoo etc.... Horrible water pressure.....Kitchen wasn't fully equipped with kitchen supplies. Carpet smelled horrible..... Pool wasn't heated, so in late September, this was way too cold for my 10 month old to swim. The main office area was open weird hours....the people that work there weren't very friendly. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again

The pool was very nice and the general look of the motel was very neat and clean. The outdoor table and chairs were updated and comfortable. not the typical plastic setup you see at most of the beach motels.

Review 36：The wifi connection was horrible and extremely frustrating for us as we needed to plan the next part of our trip. The AC went crazy at some point and blew out all kind of black debris so we stopped using it. Thank goodness there was a fan we could use.

Review 37：The Madison Avenue beach club is in a good location, about 10 min walk from washington street and/or the beach. Our room was spacious and clean with a large bathroom. It wad quiet at night so wd had a good sleep.

Review 39：Because the property and rooms are small we didn't run into any large families or tons of kids, exactly what we were hoping to avoid! The mini fridge and the AC were cold, the shower was hot, the bed comfy and the hair dryer high-powered! Awesome!

Review 44：Two signs at the check-in area seemed a bit on friendly: "early check-in not available" and "late check out not available." Really? The check-in area is so tiny, allowing only one or two people to be in the room at the same time. There is no elevator for second floor units, so those unable to handle the steps will be on the first floor with the dogs!

Review 45：The motel is about five blocks from the beach, which makes for a nice walk or bicycle ride and allows a quieter evening environment then being right on the beach … Providing the dogs on the first floor don't interrupt the quiet!

Review 49：The room was great. I loved the kitchenette. The bathroom was clean and big. There was easy access to the internet and plenty of TV cannels, free DVD's you can borrow in the office, a nice pattio area and a beautiful pool.

Review 50：Tight parking in front of property. Not all cars were pulled up to bumper and therefore it was difficult to get around. The side lot wasn't bad but a bit difficult if carrying heavy bags.

Review 53：no furniture to use for eating: no table (there are 2 wicker chairs that do not really have a proper location in the room, a too-small wicker coffee table, and a futon-sofa that is convenient for watching TV but not for eating). If you want to use the kitchen and room for eating, consider spending more money and staying at a larger unit (if it has a kitchen table)

Review 60：Madison Avenue Beach Club is a small but pleasant hotel near Cape May, NJ's attractions without the crowds or expense of the places by the beach. For people like me who don't go to Cape May for the beaches this is a nice alternative to the usual pricy hotels and B&Bs.

Review 65：No mirror other than inside the bathroom. Takes longer to get up, ready and out the door when there's more than one person. Location of the TP roll was a killer. Also, needs at least one luggage rack in the room for convenience. Most guests don't unpack their suitcases. While all was clean, carpets were shabby. Time to replace...with faux hardwood.

Review 69：How filthy the rooms were. There were multiple rooms rented and they were equally neglected. Was afraid to walk on the carpet without socks. The doors around the handles were disgusting and could have been cleaned easily with a magic eraser.

Review 71：There were no comfortable chairs. The couch nor the chairs in the room were comfortable. The pool lounge chairs were hard plastic & needed padded cushions. It was a long walk to the beach when carrying your own chairs, cooler, umbrella etc. Walking to restaurants for dinner was o.k but definitely needed to drive for breakfast & lunch.

Review 73：Room had some kind of "air freshener" which made it stink unbearably, but I couldn't locate it to remove it. Had to open all windows to de-stink the place. Thankfully, bedroom had no smell, especially with windows open and fan on. Lots of people smoking all around. The caveat of it being dog friendly is that the people below us had a yippy dog that barked non-stop from 10pm-12:30am. I reached out to the on-call person to contact the owner. Decor and bedding from the 90s.

Review 75：It's a bit of a walk to the beach, so carrying lots of chairs and coolers can be a bit cumbersome. If you have a lot of stuff to take to the beach, bring a wagon.

No sympathy or empathy. Review 86：We reserved a suite with two beds. I have a medical need for separate beds from my mate or a King sized bed. The one option we cannot deal with is a queen sized bed. When we arrived at our suite there was a queen sized bed. We went back to the office to try to change to two beds or a king sized bed but there were none available. We had to use the sofa bed which was uncomfortable. Very disappointed that our reservation for the bed we needed was not honored.
