Review 1：Little far from the main beach & the market place. And i think they should have the hotel taxi regularly available throughout the day

Review 3：down side of location means not very accessible. 20-30 min walk, down not so bad but hot n sweaty back up. Bike or taxi really needed

Review 5：Location -- top of a nasty hill. Shuttle to Chaweng ran only twice a day. Hailing a cab or a songthaew is hard and annoying at the bottom of the hill -- cabbies demanding 400 baht to go 1.5 km! Fitness facility was in disrepair. Breakfast was sad and held in the rundown part of the hotel.

Review 11：The pools were dirty and the cleaners didnt managed to clean the rooms properly either. We had to complain every day to a point where we were told to watch staff whist cleaning.. Also breakfast was very disappointing.. The hotel was completly empty and yet we've been told to have breakfast only once and how many eggs we were allowed to have. Air con kept breaking down and we were not offered a different room. Music in the hotel was terrible! The same funeral sounds over and over again which is particular annoying during breakfast when you are trying to wake up . No wonder staff seemed grumpy and depressed most times! Went and checked out 4 days premature as we couldn't take it anymore and we wouldn't get any back. Manager was rude at all times and didn't seem to care about his guests at all. Shocking experience in the "land of smiles" !

Review 13：Pay 700 Baht for privoce taxi, but share with the other people without any promotion. Very bad neighbor frighted after drunk 2-3 am. When we leave hotel, they count we bought drink from 7-11 as a mini bar drink, ask us pay 50 baht. Is this the way they ask for tips. It is happened before in Thailand, when we traveled in Bangkok.

Review 21：Shuttle bus to Chaweng shopping mall only runs twice a day. No return shuttle. Access to a beach on Koh Samui is very challenging if you are not staying at a beach side property. Best Western should consider having a shuttle to a public peach at least once a day. Hotel management should also consider offering return shuttle.

Review 24：The room itself was a dream. Two huge showers, big bed, nice sitting room, huge private balcony with an outdoor tub. The common areas (pool, restaurant, bar) were all gorgeous. We got two massages, one Thai and one Oil, and they were both awesome and the staff was friendly and the price was reasonable.

Review 29：The only shuttle service is to lamai beach. Worst beach in the world, unless you enjoy dirty sand, rough tourists and sleazy bars and restaurants. Me and my husband took one look and backed away. I almost cried as it wasn't what I expected of the famous white sand beaches of Thailand. There is a beach that is much nicer, soft sand, clean water, lots of space on the other side of the hill. Chaweng beach. Which is closer to the hotel. But the shuttle takes you to the rubbish beach instead! If you want to get a taxi to chaweng it cost 200 baht if you barter, even though it's only a 10 minute journey, if that. For some reason it cost a lot to go up the hill. (Which is impossible to walk due to the constant traffic and lack of pavements) Since the hotel is in the sticks, I feel they should provide a better service, to more desirable places. Also the last shuttle to pick up from lamai is 3pm. Garden view rooms don't exist. Views of corners. I don't understand why they bother to give you a balcony since you wouldn't want to sit there. Rooms are tired and old decor. The sea view rooms will undoubtably get a better view. But for the price of those rooms, the hotel doesn't live up to that standard. Breakfast is limited. I expected more fresh fruit.

Review 30：The hotel has amazing views of the bay from every corner of the hotel. The food in the restaurant was okay. Great juices. Nice staff, very polite and helpful enough.

Review 31：Because the hotel seemed to have very few guests there was not the full facilities being looked after....some pools needed cleaning, bit disappointed we weren,t upgraded to a room with a view since most were empty! A bit far from beaches and the driveway is really long and steep although they do offer a shuttle service to the bottom, We were upset at being dropped off at the bottom by the airport shuttle ( we are an older couple) and walked with all our bags up this very steep driveway only to find there is a sign where you can ring a bell for them to come and get you. However I did complain and they gave us chits for a free massage which was really nice.

Review 52：The staff didn't know any English at all, which was a big problem when you want to book a cab or order the cab. You can see a poor management in the hotel.

Review 54：everything! we booked a big delux room with a jacuzzi in the balcony, that was supposed being on the 3rd floor. as we arrived they showed us a smaller room than on the pictures from internet with no jacuzzi! as we asked they said that the room we booked does not exist!!!!!so we had to stay in the smaller room, the manager said we couldnt stay in a bigger room cause the hotel was already full. really funny because in the hotel were just 2 people!! the sheets were durty! the towels had big black spots on it that seemed like poop!! one morning we even have no water!! so if you're showering you have to be creatif! the staff was incompetent! during the breakfast they didnt bring us what we asked for, or even didnt receive it at all. and it wasnt good at all.. the bakery was freezed and just put in the oven. and it was desgusting! fruits were minimum 3 days old! if you wanted to sleep in the morning, good luck, coz they were doing works just under the balcony at 7 am!!! the water in the shower changed from good to either too hot, burning, to too cold!! the air conditionning wasnt working at all, and this in different rooms! so either you freeze, either you're in a sauna!!! the tv, is barely working, and there are just thai channels and just 1 australian channel! the pool closes at 7pm! we wanted to go at 5:30 pm and we couldnt because they put already chlorofine in it! noone of the staff spoke english!!! so if you have a problem with whatever, they say 'yes yes' but they dont understand!! the shuttle to go to the airport was super expensive! it costs 1000 Thai Bath and in the street it was 400TB! for the same price you'll find better! DON'T GO THERE!!! N'ALLEZ PAS A CET HOTEL!!! NON ANDATE A QUESTO HOTEL!!! GEHT NICHT IN DIESES HOTEL!!! NO IR EN ESTO HOTEL!!!

Review 56：we had a plumber come to fix out bath/ shower drainage twice, but he came imediatly and fixed the problem, so not really a negitive. also in our room the mixer tap falls off and is quiet dangerous. I think they knew about this and may be why initally reception told us a room with two single beds was unavailable. After much persuading they allowed us our room like we had booked with two single beds.Having said all this I would come back again :) oh and like all hotels your appliances dont charge when the key card is not int he slot (so all the time you are not there nothing charges which makes it hard to charge anything!)

Review 59：The hotel is excellent. I liked everything. Clean rooms, beautiful clean territory and view from the room was GREAT. A liitle bit far from the beach (about 10 minutes drive) but they have shuttle bus taking you to the beach so that is not a problem at all. I would stay there again.

Review 62：Very poor maintanence of the hotel - the greens are not well maintained, cockroaches & bugs... Since location is far from market areas, they should provide shuttle to Chaweng more often - the timing of only 2 shuttles a day at 12non and 1:30 is not convenient. Also, shuttles should have fixed time & points to pick guests back.

Review 64：The hotel is between Chaweng and Lamai beach. To both beachesapprox. 4Km, so to rent a scooter is necessary. Scooters can behired at the hotel.

Review 65：Very nice hotel, very nice view if you have a sea view room. The seaview rooms cost only a bit more and the view is amazing, I definitelywoul recommend this rooms. Several swimming pools and mostly no peopleat the pools. Very silent as the hotel is not directly at the road.

The pools neededcleaning ,the tv was not tuned properly and all the buildings andfixtures looked like they needed upgrading. I expected more from a BestWestern hotel

Review 70：Honestly this was the most disappointing hotel value for money wise iveever stayed in. !St we were put in a room that was next to the laundryroom which was so noisy we had a bout 2 hours sleep. So we got movedrooms, then the new room had no hot water that we co,plained about andnothing happened there. It was extremely dated and unclean along withthe pools that were filthy. Finally we were there over new years yetthey failed to mention that anything was happening there so we couldntjoin in the celebrations there as we didnt have tickets yet every otherguest I spoke to had been told about it. All in all it was teribblevalue for money and the staff were very unhelpful
