Review 1：It is the dirtiest place we've ever slept! The blankets full of hair, handprints and strange liquid all around the mirror next to the bed... We turned up the TV at there was a Porno TVchannel on it. Very disgusting! There was toilet paper stuck in the restroom wall.. We couldn't imagine having a shower there... Very strange people sleeping there!

Review 13：The room was dirty. A huge hole in the bathroom wall with wads of toilet paper and God knows what else jammed in it. The shower curtain had something growing on it that must have been related to the creature from the black lagoon. The air conditioner was old and hardly worked. And by old, I mean like it may have been one of the first air conditioners made. Ever. Yes, that old. But again, I guess for $60 a night, I can't expect the Ritz. However, I doubt I'd ever (at least sober, that is) stay there again.
Review 14：Free 1980s porn?!?? What's not to like???? Look, for $60 a night,I'm not sure what to expect in all honesty. I liked that the electricity worked and that we at least had a TV. And I wasn't kidding about the 80s porn either.
Review 15：The room smelled of Bo and curry, the carpets were sticky and looked dirty, we didn't feel clean on the bed because the sheets were stained. And we had reservations and the women who checked us in had no idea and she didn't speak much English. To top that off we went down to go to universal studios and the add said 10 minutes from there, it was actually 25-30 minutes.

Review 21：Terrible. The room itself wasn't bad, the setup is nice, but the customer service was absolutely horrible. They spoke almost no English whatsoever and didn't understand that I had booked the room online, they literally didn't understand the word "reservation." When they lady saw my husband outside the car smoking, she had a fit that we wanted a non smoking room and kept arguing with me when I told her we do not smoke indoors. She insisted that we leave a deposit (in cash) and when I told her she'd have to use my card as I didn't have cash, I literally had to open my wallet and show her the lack of cash. She kept giving me the evil eye, she was just positive I was lying. It was incredibly uncomfortable. It took about 30 minutes to check in because they didn't seem to have any idea how to charge my credit card and they kept arguing among themselves. So we finally got the non smoking room and there were cigarette burns in the comforter. Go figure. And not to mention stains on the white sheet, including a bloodstain. There is one microwave for everyone to use, OUTSIDE, which is not kept clean. There was a lack of pillows, towels and decent toilet paper. My husband and I will be needing a motel room every Sunday for quite some time and we will never return to this one.

Review 33：The Starlight seems to have a lot of people moving about outside all night. ;) I know this area had the reputation for catering to Prostitutes. I got proof of that after the lady in the next room had at least 6 visitors (all male). We could hear them making "love" all night. Then got a real treat when her pimp came in to collect. Guess she was short on cash to him. It sounded like he beat her senseless for a couple of mins then took off. I went to check on her...she would answer the door so I finally just asked her to tell me she was okay & I would go away. She said she was okay & apologized for the noise. Its not the Hotel's fault, its just the area in which it was built. Other than intermittent noise the only other complaint I have is that the floor near the fridge actually would sink in & crack some...carpet was ok but the base floor needs replacing. No other complaints are issues
