Never used the tiki again and that also made our decision to not use restaurant either. We went back and asked why they ignored us and they said they didn't see us we told the girl at the desk and she said she would tell the manager but we doubt she did. We also left this same opinion in the suggestion box and no one has contacted us. It was a terrible first impression. We checked in and went to tiki bar very happy to start our little getaway to be completely ignored!!!!

Review 21：Great ocean view. Spacious bedroom and sitting area and everything was super clean. Friendly staff from the bell hops to the front desk and the maids.

Review 22：For the cost ($2000 for 3 nights) the room should have been much cleaner. There were a few stains on the sheets, there were noticeable stains (presumable from previous guests as they were there upon check in) on the table, desk and other surfaces that should have been cleaned. The living room area was so dark there is definitely not enough lighting. The bathroom is teeny tiny, a bigger vanity would have been nice. I've stayed here twice and the last time was 3 years ago and I had the same feelings then, when the place was newer. We will not be returning to this hotel, for the price they charge it should at least be spotlessly clean. Also, not sure why the survey asked how breakfast was as this hotel does not have s free breakfast. The restaurant is fine, reasonably priced and decent food although very slow service

Review 38：The staff. This was our first trip to Cape May and all their suggestions were spot on. This was a surprise 50th birthday trip and i asked for a cake in the room on arrival and it was all set up perfectly. We are already planning our next stay with them!

Review 55：My husband who is a PA State Police was not granted the military discount. Every place, that we have been to before, extends the military discount to State Police. We came on this little vacation because our vacation out west was cancelled because my husband was deployed to participate in the Eric Frein sear and returns two days after we return. Sad that his service, dedication, and protection is not appreciated nor valued.

Review 57：The front desk staff is not very engaging. The second floor room was right above the Tiki Bar, the noise wasn't bothersome but the cigarette smoke was. We were on the 4th floor last year and the view is much better.(obviously) The entire property should be non smoking.

Wished ice machines were on every floor. Found the pillow top bed to be a bit lumpy and did not like pillows but that could be just my personal preference. There really was not much to dislike about this hotel.

Review 70：Liked location. A few blocks away from the main stretch of hotels so beach was much less crowded. Hotel staff on the beach were great. Food at hotel .... Sea Salt ... Was top notched. A bit expensive but worth the price in quality and superb taste. An ingenious chef and kitchen staff. Front desk staff very attentive and very quick in supplying us with more towels and other requests. Sheets were of fine quality and loved the feather duvet. Cleaning staff did an excellent job. Very quiet in the rooms. I know that there were families with infants and small children in the rooms next to us and I never heard any noise through the walls.

Review 75：I know Cape May at the height of the season is pricey, but for almost $500 a night I expected better. The room was clean and comfortable and had a nice though very small balcony. The room is set up to accommodate 4 people yet the bathroom was very small, no counter space at all. Shower was a good size but no tub. The biggest downside was just a general feeling in the rest of the building of being old and run down. The lobby was ok but the elevator was so small, very slow, and stuck in a corner with two service doors and a back door to the building right there. You could hardly stand and wait for this insanely slow elevator without being bumped into by staff going in and out of these other doors. It was awful. The corridors to the rooms are one wall of glass overlooking the parking lot with painted cement floors. At this price I expect more class, marble and chandelier in the lobby with a bank of elevators, etc, this place was just a regular old family beach hotel yet cost a fortune. They need to remodel the entire lobby and fix the elevator situation. I would not go back there at those prices.
