Review 1：The motel had been partially renovated and unfortunately our room was not one of those. The room was small and desperately needed to be renovated. Our room was nothing like that that had been shown on the internet. Very disappointed with this accommodation. Amenities were old and the shower temperature kept changing. The old box air conditioner was noisy. Able to hear the guests in the room next to ours. Would rate this motel 2.5-3.0. Will not stay here again.

Review 2：Walking distance to a restaurant. Clean bed sheets and although the room was clean because of it's aged appearance did not appear clean from appearances.

Review 3：Someone parked in front of our trailer and we couldn't leave at 6 am as planned

Review 5：Broken sofa, nearly broken chair, running toilet, no guest info folder and no spares when requested, no milk provided or offered, no restaurant or room service as advertised on the web site and a "don't care" attitude from the gentleman on reception.

Review 6：Bed was very comfortable and the shower was great.

Review 7：Grounds need a bit of attention but there is upgrades happening (not while we were there) but this should improve with time. External lighting needs to be left on longer. We went out for tea and arrived back at 10 pm to pitch black. Luckily we did not fall over - this was just good luck.

Review 9：Unfriendly, mostly unhelpful host and his son. Light needed replacing in toilet. The advertised in house restaurant is not available at all. The motel is under renovation and needs it. Bathroom was tiny, including shower cubicle.

Review 10：Arriving after a terrible day driving on wet roads. The bed was a lot better than Golf View Motel in Bowral but still not comfortable.

Review 11：Staff was happy to give details of nearby restuarant's, however 1 was closed until 18 Feb and the other didn't open on Monday nights. There was water all over the kitchen and bathroom floors when we arrived, not sure if it was from a leak(lots of rain) or the tap that was turned over the counter and not the sink because of this the tiles where very slippery

Review 13：Everything was perfect, the staff were exceptionally lovely, the room was great with extremely comfortable bedding and lounge and the Alabaster is in an excellent location for anyone wanting to see Taree and it's surrounds.

Review 16：When we arrived at reception the gentleman behind the counter, who we assume was the owner of the business, had his face buried in the computer. He briefly acknowledged our presence and when we said we had a booking he put his face back in the computer screen without saying a word. After what seemed like hours (but was probably about a minute and a half or so), he said he wouldn't be long. Then after another long "wordless" wait we received our room key. I would have expected someone in a service industry business such as hotelier to be much more friendly if he wants good reviews and repeat business. There was no smoke detector in the room, which I believe is illegal. The toilet cistern button was missing the retaining ring and remained down unless lifted. I reported this to reception along with the fact that the taps on the sink were leaking and needed new valves, as I said to the man,"if no one tells them they probably don't know". I also reported on our second day there that the toilet light was inoperative, it was never fixed whilst we were there. On the positive, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the location was good, however I definitely will not be staying here again because of the man at reception's attitude.

Review 17：The Reception Area smells like cigarettes and the owners are frequently smoking inside. Plus lack of hygiene. The entire place is littered with rubbish and building material. Inside of the rooms is extremely poor and the room smells extremely bad.

Review 18：This place is a dump! The pictures are misleading and its the worst place on Earth!

Review 19：Where to start, they advertise foxtel but there is no foxtel. We went out to visit friends and came back to nowhere to park and had to park on the street even though we had specifically requested parking in our booking. Then on the morning we were leaving they knocked on the door to clean the room at 9am, it felt like they were telling us to leave. I found the whole experience poor and would never stay here again.

Review 21：Neither bedside lamp worked, one missing a globe, curtains off their tracks, room FULL of mosquitos, neither the TV or air conditioner remote worked and only three bath towels in a room with four people. Hairdryer also not working and fell apart when I took it off the wall.

Review 23：Poor customer service at reception. Motel partially renovated. I was allocated a budget room which was in the unrenovated portion. I could hear every word from the room next door - zero sound proofing. From personal knowledge, this reno started over two years ago so they are clearly having difficulty completing the work. Absolutely zero focus on their clients - proprietors spent the entire evening sitting by the pool drinking beer. No-one at reception in the morning to take receipt of the room key!

Review 31：The people next to us smoke and drank well into the night. We had to ask them to be quiet. Which they were for 5 mins. The pipes under the sink were leaking and when you opened the door it stunk.

Review 32：I used to stay there a lot going back 4/5 years. Sadly i think its gone down a bit since then. Shower taps seriously dripping (almost running). Fridge not balanced so door kept closing on me whenever i went to get something out. Roof paint peeling. Generally in need of some tidying up in saying all that, I would stay there again

Review 35：We only stayed overnight and the room had been renovated which was really nice. Only downside there was no sink in the bathroom which was a bit strange. The bed was really comfortable and lovely crisp clean sheets.

Review 36：The 'kitchenette' consisted of a kettle, toaster, 2 cups, 2 mugs, 2 glasses, 2 teaspoons, no crockery and no other cutlery. The TV reception for a place near the centre of Taree was poor. One staff member came across as a little rude. Kids, possibly owners' grandchildren, were playing basketball in the car park area and I think the ball may have hit a few cars. The online request was for a quiet room which was not the case.

The Alabaster Motor Inn isunder new management, better management and is newly renovated. Theservice and comfort is priceless. I will be going back there everytime Iam there on business. Thank you.

Review 70：Staff- waiting a couple of hrs to check in. Lighting not working in toilet or main room. Getting eaten alive and needing to constantly cover oneself in aerogaurd and the room in bug/ fly spray..... Not somewhere I would ever return to.

Review 72：As soon as you enter the room, you can feel fleas and mites jump onto your skin. There were still skid marks in the toilet from the last room occupant. Walls are dirty, carpets dusty, we couldn't take the disgusting state of the room and ended up leaving only after being in the room for 4 hours

Review 73：So pleased to find a comfortable and quiet bed for the night after a long day of horrendously slow traffic driving from Coolangatta to Sydney. We were lucky to grab a room that became vacant upon a cancellation at 10pm, otherwise all rooms within 150km were sold out. (This was the Saturday after New Year's Eve.) Nothing to complain about whatsoever - a good, clean, inexpensive, room for a stopover, not far from the motorway and easy to find on the main road through Taree.

Review 83：The room displayed was nothing like the room offered. The reception was very unprofessional. The Motor Inn is still under going renovations and makes the place very unattractive and messy. The curtains and shower had mould. The fridge had rust on the bottom of the door. The basin located in the room area, did not turn off completely. The room was not cleaned properly from the previous guest/s with food smudged on the side tables. The room was dusty. Overall an unpleasant experience.

Review 88：So the online Ad shows you pictures of what the place will look like when the renovations are complete. It doesn't tell you that the renovations are underway, the place is a mess and you are getting an unrenovated room for the advertised price. The room was fine except we were located in a corner of the motel block and the room next door was a group of tradies who gathered each evening to drink and chain smoke into the evening right outside our door. Not the tradies fault, that's their relaxation times but the hotel owner should not have put us there. The owner was pretty blasé about customer service, not rude, just way too relaxed. No Wifi, no Foxtel, restaurant was closed and the food places nearby were expensive. The pool was useable but surrounded by building rubble and the pool fence was in the process of being replaced so the pool was not properly fenced. Finally, my kingdom for an accommodation venue that is not stingy with pillows!

Review 90：Even though it was planned and discussed with staff on bringing our puppy along on our trip, they then said it was not noted down and we cannot have her with us.... we were then accused of bringing a dog not a puppy.... but in fact this puppy of ours isn't even a year old. They were rude and wanted to put him in the store room they had, which was small and disgusting. Do not take your pets there !
