Reviews for Artuklu Kervansarayi

Review 1:Mardin is a good place to visit, but the location of the hotel is not great at least from the standpoint of being able to walk out and find a nearby restaurant.

Review 2:The room itself was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. Because of the thick walls and the hotel's location the room was also quiet. The bathroom though was very small. The best views were from an upper balcony reached through internal stairways. Once there, while the view was good the balcony itself was dirty and there was no place to sit and enjoy the scenery. The lower balcony shown in pictures does not have a view of the Mesopotamian plains.

Review 3:sevmediğim bir şey olmadı

Review 4:genel müdür ve personel çok ilgiliydi. beni memnun etmek için upgrade ettiler, kahvaltı harikaydı, çalışanlar her durumda yardımcıydı.

Review 5:Wifi on and off in my room and network was weak. Lights are very dimmed.. Overall interiors are very dark.

Review 6:Central Location in a beautiful neighbourhoud away from the noisy main street, Terrace space is beautiful simple and authentic.

Review 7:Breakfast could easily be better. Disconnecting, slow WI-FI. Staff is made up from helpful but inexperienced, young people. Water heater was not on, and they provided an electric heater, which I find dangerous.

Review 8:Building is quite historic and that is awesome! It is in the old Mardin, which is also great.

Review 9:The heating system is only by air conditioner. Windows are not restored and isolated. We stayed in November 28th-30th and it was 2 centigrad degrees in the night time, so the room was quite cold. Inside the bad, under the blanket there is no problem. We requested additional 5 blankets to cover the window which was really good solution, it was much more comfortable in our 2nd nights. This is not unique for this hotel, most of otantic stone hotels might be like this as they are too old and windows are not renovated. So in the winter time during November-March you should decide weather to choose Othantic vs Cold. The pillows were really high, they could not find lower ones. But we solved by unfilling the pillow :) There is no slipper.

Review 10:Hotel was built in 1275 as a caravansarai. Within hundreds of years it has been used as caravansarai and after that as hospital, school.. Owner family decided to start hotel business in this huge otantic place. I guess rooms' climate will be very comfortable only in the summer time, because the building is made by special stones. Staff was really helpful and kind. They might help you about your Mardin visit. Bed-bathroom-room cleanliness was quiet enough. We stayed only for 2 nights and did not use shower as weather was cold. There is hair dryer and clean towels in the room. Breakfast was not open buffet, but cheese, olives, tomatos, cucumber, egg and honey with tea was enough, bread was delicious which is made by the bakery just right next door of the hotel. Do not have much breakfast, you should leave space for delicious kebabs. They may organise "Sıra Gecesi" which is traditional music of choir if you pay the cost which is not so cheap. But if you are a group you may share the cost. I suggest you to stay in this hotel as price-performance is good for me.

Review 11:The beautifully restored two houses joined together and the kind friendly staff.this place is unique.

Review 12:Location as shown on the maps does not match exact location of Hotel,Please improve on this and maybe give distance from the main square tohotel guest before arriving.

Review 13:Architecture of the hotel is very historic and beautiful. Designs of therooms and Hotel worked well together. I would definitely come back andstay there, any traveler would enjoy there stay there!

Review 14:The rooms are very small. Very little English was spoken at the hotel. When we were ready to leave and had about 20 minutes to wait for the taxi, no-one offered to get us a tea. We had to ask for it. Then when the taxi came, it was not a nornal taxi, but a car from the hotel and they asked us for 50 lira for the drive to the airport instead of the normal 30 lira for no extra convenience. If they wanted to charge this extra amount they should have told us when we ordered it.

Review 15:We stayed at the hotel in 2006 and greatly enjoyed our stay. This time, though, the hotel seemed to be a bit tired, maybe suffering as a result of other nice hotels opening in Mardin

Review 16:shower had cold water

Review 17:it was almost impossible to take a hot shower they didnt make the rooms every day
