Reviews for Al Haram Hotel – By Al Rawda
Review 1:Elevators took a long time to call so had to allow extra time to ensure one didn't miss salat.
Review 2:Stayed for one night only. Rooms was quite spacious but basic. Breakfast was fairly good. Close to the ladies gate so good for access for the ladies in our group, especially for my mother and mother-in-law.
Review 3:The rooms were supposed to be charged to our credit card prior to arrival. The day before they told us it had to be cash. We had to frantically get the money wired. They lied to avoid credit card charges by saying there machine was not working.
Review 4:The location of the hotel. The cleanliness of the rooms
Review 5:The services were inconsistent. I never knew if meals would be available in the restaurant or had to be ordered in the room. Calls for room cleaning did not yield service.
Review 6:The location is amazing
Review 7:Dirty carpets, stinky, small rooms. Car parking was over crowded. Very disturbing. Didn't have a peaceful stay. I guess this is a permanent problem during the season.
Review 8:I choose this hotel due to it's location.
Review 9:I will not recommend this hotel to anyone since the room is always dirty, everything is not even second quality may be third. They could not provide us a baby coat. If you want to go Madinah and stay very close to Mesjid you have to pay this much of money for only one bed and dont wait anything.
Review 10:If there is -point, I would give unfortunately not. Only think that I like is location and car parking(as per availabilty)
Review 11:- Although there are about 10 elevators, I had to spend a long time waiting for elevators, which seems not all working. - No parking slot was available for my car. - Hotel looks old, not a standard 5 stars hotel.
Review 12:Good staff
Review 13:Thermostat was in-operable. Wasn't able to control the room temperature. Had to turn the air conditioner off to sleep or it would have been too cold. Luckily the weather was pleasant so didnt feel any discomfort. Elevators are always busy during the rush hour. So give yourself extra time when leaving to catch the prayers on time.
Review 14:Close proximity to Masjid Nabawi especially to ladies entrance. Masjid is only 500 steps. Good entertainment channels for kids to keep them busy during Salaat times.
Review 15:Not good location coordinates by this hotel or google provided ,,,to reach hotel hired taxi from another route. Baggage staff not good and picked from car parking to home myself. Nearby location not good for woman walker ad cheaper lookers
Review 16:Every thing good clean and many toiletries items like razor shave, cream and quick check in and friendly talking at hotel except written in dislike below
Review 17:Staff are not educated. They told me that the roles f the hotel is to not carry customer language from car park. Also, car parking are not available and I have to say "please" to get car park. To park my car, I have to reverse car lave.
Review 18:close to al haram
Review 19:Guest in the next room was very loud (talking in loud voice, yelling etc.) throughout the night, can hear the noise through the walls.
Review 20:Hotel staff was helpful. Location is quite near to Masjid Nabawi entrance for women.
Review 21:not enough car park, some of the elevators were not working, no lunch in the restaurants while was advertised
Review 22:toilet, AC, quite, big rooms and of course location
Review 23:Staff is rude plus there was leakage in washroom. Also chairs and bed were not as clean as you would expect from a 5 star hotel.I'm disappointed.
Review 24:Nothing.
Review 25:The hotel is getting old. Facilities are dusty and rusty. We booked three rooms, all bathrooms are leaking, smelly, and dirty. Parking was limited, I had to wait for 20 min. in a queue to get a parking.
Review 26:Location is nice.
Review 27:Two thing WIFI doesn't works properly, and you will not find parking in the hotel as mentioned online when we book the rooms.
Review 28:Location of the hotel is ideal, services are Good, Staff is Good.
Review 29:the bathroom tile was not properly structured. water doesn't flow down; it's flooding all the time...this make the stay less peaceful
Review 30:proximity to masjid nabawi
Review 31:Facilities, friendliness of the staff at the entrance and breakfast prices.
Review 32:Location, comfort, size and no. of beds in the room. Thanks for the ample toiletries and water bottles.
Review 33:Did not like anything. No worth for the money.
Review 34:Worst experience ever had in any hotel. Very rude and unfriendly staff, they did not even show hospitality to the guest, dirt and smell everywhere in hotel and inside room, very bad cleaning and poorly managed, staff does not speak English, no outlets available in the room to charge electronics and gadgets. Booking.com classified this hotel as five star but it does not have system and value even as three star. I booked parking at the time of booking but not given.
Review 35:working methods are not standardized and no arrangements are made between staff. Parking is small, and the area is a prohibited parking or waiting area.
Review 36:Location
Review 37:Staff . Police had to attend my check in. Yet, my problem was not solved. I reserved a car parking and I got a parking entry card from reception, however, security refused to let my car in. I was told to wait in my car in the street until a parking is available which could take hours. I tried to speak to someone in charge but no one was of any help till the police came to force me move my car to a parking that is 15 minutes away.
Review 38:The only thing that troubled us was non availability of parking. I guess it was understandable as next day was eid.
Review 39:Location was perfect Staff was cooperative OverAll satisfactory experience
Review 40:none of our special request for lower floor and parking was served. 4 beds were forced into small room, not enough space inside room. Expensive as compared to other similar service hotels nearby
Review 41:Location and room service for cleanliness
Review 42:The bathroom in one of the rooms flooded, and the sink was a bit broken(not up to the hotel's number of stars)
Review 43:The location was nice & close to the haram's women's side The rooms were satisfactory.
Review 44:Very dirty, Very bad smell in the room, Very dirty floor carpets, Verypoor breakfast, Very poor and expensive dinner (120SR/person fornothing valuable except some rice!!), Very crowded parking, Supposed tobe 5 stars hotel but actually it sould be rated not more than 3 stars!!Value of money is too expensive compared to services provided, With thetoo much money paid I can find much much better hotel, I will not choseit again nor even recommend it to others.
Review 45:Location near to Nabawi Mosque (Females Entrance).
Review 46:The level of the front desk duty manager and front desk staff not qualified for four or five star hotel because of the way of dealing or talking to the hotel guests.
Review 47:That I had to leave
Review 48:First of all the location!!Secondly free underground Parking with lifts! Third staff is utmost friendly And cooperative !!!! I asked for early check in they provided Every corner of the property is wheelchair accessible... I carried a size 18" inch wheelchair with me and I was able to take it inside bathroom as well It is a huge advantage for me Bathrooms were so nice tiddy clean dry and provided with towels shampoo soap tissue box and rolls as well a nice shower with a reasonably big tub Nicely and firmly placed comode without any leakage It had dryer and shaving mirror Cupboard plus electronic safe Excellent A/C and chilling room Fridge Nice furniture clean sheets Properly working electric kettle All the supplements of coffee and Tea ( as many as you want) Free water 24/7 as much u can drink Free WiFi with reasonable speed Overall all superb experience We actually stayed 1 more day because the property was convenient than expected At the time of check out they did not charged a single extra penny But only the actually Rent for 2 days My only suggestion to management is to increase rent They charge very less
Review 49:Toilet is clean but there was a bad smell
Review 50:Good room Welcoming staff Two minutes walk from female entrance gate in Haram Near food courts and supermarket
Review 51:The condition of the toilet. The condition of the room. The escalator. Overall, it is an old hotel and it without doubt needs renewation.
Review 52:I liked the distance between the hotel and the mosque. And thats it :(
Review 53:The overall value for money of the hotel was not good, you are paying a lot more than it's actually worth and can get a better hotel in the same area. The hotel is very run down and not up to its stated five star standards, with very small cramped rooms and dirty carpets. Also the shower head in the bathroom was not fixed properly and when we complained the maintenance guy said don't touch it as it may fall and crack your head... Very poor quality of service. In addition to this the hotel had a horrible smell throughout... It smelt like the kitchen was just next door a strong onion smell. Finally, in my opinion the hotel is due to be demolished and wouldn't recommend people to pay the sky high prices and only stay here if they have a very cheap deal on offer.
Review 54:During our stay at the hotel we didn't like many things one of the only good things about the hotel is the location as it is in good proximity to the haraam and has easy access to the ladies entrance. However, better hotels can be found in the same area and a lot cheaper!
Review 55:Very slow front desk staff. Check-in process was very unnecessarily slow. Small cost cutting measures which should not be in a 5 star hotel, such as local branded poor taste jams and juices.
Review 56:Free limited car parking. Convenient location for mosque, food, and shopping.
Review 57:The parking stuff is extremly bad. They dont know how to deal with guests although i have sent a notification saying that i need a parking slot earlier through booking.
Review 58:The breakfast is extremly nice a lot of variety great taste
Review 59:reservation was for three persons room was found two bed only Wi Fi was free but not known from the reception, it is always asking for login
Review 60:parking my car
Review 61:Everything was messy, old, dirty. The carpet, the bathroom, it sure doesn't deserve the 5 stars, I've stayed at 3 stars hotel with much better quality than this one. I hope they re-decorate and do something about it. Wifi didn't work at all with us.
Review 62:The location and the location only.
Review 63:Traffic jam and missing road entry signs to get to the Hotel in the Madinah Central Area
Review 64:Location, Location, Location excelent Staff very helpful, my regards and appreciation to all staff, especially receptionist Al Walid and all Cafeteria staff
Review 65:This hotel is falsely advertised as a five star hotel. Nothing about it is 5 stars. -We waited 5 hours to check in because the room wasn't ready -The bathroom towel on the floor had old blood stains -The shower pressure was so low that you had to stand on the edge of the tub and have your faces inches away from the wall to get water on you -Not enough elevators for the amount of people in the hotel. After every prayer, we had to wait around 20-30 minutes for the elevator before getting on a jam-packed one ourselves. -No conditioner or lotion in the bathroom-only shampoo and shower gel -Some of the toiletries provided in the bathroom were missing things because it wasn't re-stocked after the previous guest (ie. no razer in the shaving kit) -Beds were tiny and not enough space in the room to accomodate them
Review 66:Location was good; really close to the women's section of the mosque. However, I'd rather walk an extra 5 minutes and stay in a further hotel than stay in this one again.
Review 67:Lobby was Smeely Need to change Lobby Carpet Lift are very conjested Mezannine Floor Lift should be closed during Prayer time. People from Ground Floor had to wait because Clever people use Elevator and take Lift from Mezannine Floor
Review 68:Location Bed
Review 69:The lifts are not enough. Luggage has to be dropped outside and bell boy cant access parking. The worst part is check out time of 12 noon...which is before zuhr and jumma prayers.
Review 70:The location was great. Having a parking was a huge benefit. employees are friendly. Accessible to women section leading to riyadh-ul-jannah
Review 71:food tastes bad. The shrimps were not cooked well. When I complained to the one putting the food on the buffet, he said it is Egyptian style. He could not get it that i am Egyptian. It was still partially raw. Also, as soon as i entered the room, the odor stinks. The carpets are not cleaned. Last, wifi is terrible in the last floor where my room was
Review 72:location, wheelchair availability
Review 73:Very dartiy hotel.lift are also outof order.you make it five star hotel.
Review 74:Fristly it should change the carpet and cleenis of hotel room etc.also upgrade to five star
Review 75:This is the third time we stayed at this hotel and it was a wonderful experience. highly recommended to all. very near to the female gate of Masjid Nabwi. the staff and the breakfast was great. the rooms were fine.
Review 76:Nothing
Review 77:Very near to Masjid AnNabawi, specially for ladies who want to go for Salam Delicious breakfast Excellent service and staff, parking always available Quick room service Spacious room size
Review 78:No porter to assist us . Waited for ages to be checked in.
Review 79:Cleaning and breakfast staff were friendly and accommodating. No porter to assist us . Waited for ages to be checked in.
Review 80:-the location is good -staff are not profissional enough -the most important issue is the bed sheets and bellow covers not changed after previous gust which was surprise me. -the breakfast puffet was very poor
Review 81:Front desk is hopeless. At different times whenever I called front desk , no one bothers to pick up phone ever. seems staff does not know how to greet guests and it seems they will have to pay taxes if they smile. Never ever would like to stay.
Review 82:close proximity of haram.
Review 83:Reception need to be more professional in handling guests. Response of room service are not up to a level of five stars hotel.
Review 84:Location and breakfast are excellent.
Review 85:We arrived at the hotel with a small baby at 8 am. We had to wait until 4 pm to get the two rooms we booked. At 4pm we got one room and the second room was cleaned and we got it after calling the reception 3 times at 5pm. The check out time was 12 noon which is not fair as we checked in at 4pm
Review 86:Close to the Mosque
Review 87:This modern hotel is showing its age. Cleanliness can be better. Price is a bit high compared to what it has to offer. But the close proximity to Haram justifies the cost.
Review 88:Very close to Masjid-e-Nabawi. It is the 2nd building adjacent to Gate-25 which is the entry of Women Prayer Section. Therefore, highly recommended for families. Good breakfast and decent but free WiFi. Housekeeping in-charge "Mr. Jameer" from Bangladesh is very supportive.
Review 89:In this hotel you cannot checkin b4 @4pm. My humble request with guests is don't ever stay in this hotel. The full staff of the hotel lacks hospitality training. Unfortunately all of them are from Arab country.....
Review 90:Only Parking n mr. Mohammed indian his attitude in restaurant is excellent.
Review 91:The reception service is almost poor. One person only (trainee!) receives and serves all guests. This happened to me at the time I checked in and checking out. I have spent more than 25 minutes to finish the process in each time. When I complain, the employee apologizes he is new!!
Review 92:The location, the breakfast and the room
Review 93:1- Very bad, impolite, uncooperative, arrogant staff especially in the reception. 2- Rooms are very small, with very small beds, not so clean and TV channels are too little. 3- Restaurant is over crowded and food is not fresh and waiters are not professional.
Review 94:It is near to women door of Alharam
Review 95:Very strange policy for check-in time which is already 4 p.m. and the receptionist did not even check for availability 30 minutes before time and made us wait. A group was having heated argument with them for the same reason
Review 96:Location, cleanliness
Review 97:I checked in at 5:30 pm and i tried to get a late check out but they refused just give me till 1:30 and they made me payed for all 3 nights when checked in . Don’t know why
Review 98:Very helpful staff
Review 99:Our room was not ready. We got a dirty room with 4 beds. Then we got another room with 3 beds which was smaller and they fit another bed in it. Room was old with and not very clean. Washroom was not clean and very old. Poor exhaust and smell. Reception staff did not care. Hotel rating is no where near 5 star. It could be 2-3 star. Wifi worked only if we stood at our room door. Towels were poor quality. For SAR 890 per night, too expensive for a 4 bedroom for this quality.
Review 100:The Location is close to the Haram. They have parking.
Review 101:The breakfast spread. Please try to improve Please also try to fix a door holder for the interconnected room doors. We had to use our bags to hold them from getting shut
Review 102:The location and services
Review 103:For a 5-star hotel, the standard was poor in terms of cleanliness.
Review 104:Very close to Masjid Nabwi and amenities. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast Buffet was reasonable.
Review 105:Room was not ready till 7pm. Dirty rooms. Bed sheets smells of sweat Pillows/mattress are all worn out Floor broken Bathroom leaking Unreasonably pricey for the services and standards maintained by this hotel. Doesn't seems like management is putting any investment back in the hotel.
Review 106:Location Staff was helpful Free Parking Breakfast (still not good enough for the price of room)
Review 107:Absolutely rubbish hotel to stay, no facilities available. Extremely bad food, waste of money, dirty rooms and wash rooms. Never recommend anyone to stay there
Review 108:I do not know when Hotels stop to offer their clients the worst rooms first. Every time I have to be patient to get a suitable one
Review 109:After checking multiple room, I got a very comfortable one. The Hotel's food is very good :-)
Review 110:Lake of brand standard, F.Office staff need training.generally staff are not customer oriented and no senior personnel on the floor.
Review 111:Location and breakfast quality.
Review 112:Poorly maintained rooms. Bathrooms needed quick repairs which were done after requesting the hotel. Dirty carpets in the junior 'executive' suite.
Review 113:Closeness to Haram. Helpful reception staff who helped in quick refund of payment for nights not stayed.
Review 114:Dirty carpets and curtains full of spots. Unsatisfied breakfast ,not matches with the hotel rate.
Review 115:Helpful staff, good room serves , good price and taste for lunch food.
Review 116:The towels and in ability of there to speak English.
Review 117:Location is perfect especially the Rawdah gate closeness. And call to prayer even in the room you will hear.that is good.
Review 118:Hotel is not very well kept. Breakfast was limited and too good. Very expensive.
Review 119:Close to haram especially women entrance. Found free at site parking. Quick check in and check out.
Review 120:Never deserve 5stars. Everything was under expectations, staff were lazy, rooms were smelly and breakfast was really bad, I really don't know how it is 5 stars. Restaurant was full of fright smell , they produced tea in paper cups, there was no folks, knifes or tissues on the tables, guests should collect from a drawer!!! Because of room smoking and wet smell, I used to upgrade to a suite for no need. WIFI signal was very bad, I couldn't able to connect.
Review 121:Only one thing I liked: Near to Haram
Review 122:Forgot money and could not get it back Plumbing problem Bad odor in room Elevators sometimes nuisance
Review 123:Nearness to Haram Drinking water supply Good breakfast
Review 124:poor service from housekeeping staff. they argued with us when we asked for change of bedsheet. they actually didn't change the sheets, they just reversed the sheets right infront of us. no name tags on their uniforms. rude staff. we booked in a quadruple room. while they were cleaning, the housekeeping staff asked us why we booked for a room with 4 beds instead of 2 rooms for 2 persons each. according to him, it is difficult to clean a room with 4 beds. we were only provided 6 pillows instead of 8. initially, we were provided 1 set of slippers. we asked for 3 more. they have to ask from the supervisor the housekeeping said. after asking, we were provided 2 more, instead of 3. they may knock on your door up to 3 times a day to ask you if u need cleaning. not well groomed housekeeping staff. they will leave bad smell after cleaning your room. poor quality of supplies which includes toothpaste (A.ME brand), tissue (1-ply hard kind of tissue), tea (unknown brand). no brown sugar available. aircon is too ancient with noise. carpet is dirty and with stains. beds are broken, produce noise everytime u move. wi-fi connection is very slow. breakfast buffet: low quality. very few choices for a 5-star hotel.
Review 125:location is very close to haram
Review 126:Good facility with very bad managment. Not allowed to luggage carrier to take bag from car in the basement car park. - Cleanness is very poor - Booked for triple room gaved bedroom for two.
Review 127:Nothing and not recommended to other
Review 128:Add more staffs at the front desk. We had to wait more than an hour to checked in. Mr hani an Egyptian at the receprion had to deal with 20 people at a time. Its sad. He tried his best to please everyone. Checking with a saudi guy was no good. He has no manners!!! Please upgrade the clenliness in the room esp bathroom. Smell
Review 129:The location of course and the bed
Review 130:average beakfast ( most of the food was pre-cooked or left over from the day before) no air conditioning in the hallway the first few days
Review 131:good location
Review 132:hotel is over booked, keep me waiting until 7pm to get the room, but very strict on check out time 12noon coffee shop is really a smoking area. room rent is high
Review 133:location is very good, facilities also good
Review 134:The buffet the TV didn't have enough channels the room wasn't ready at the time of the arrival The food quality wasn't that promising The restaurant ambiance wasn't too fancy Not so many varieties of food during breakfast.
Review 135:The location, it was so close to the holy shire of the great prophet.
Review 136:It can be cleaner and the breakfast needs to be improved.
Review 137:Compared to other 5 stars hotels, it is good value for money. Its location is remarkable as it is really close to the women's entrance.
Review 138:I spent two nights in this hotel. The first day was fine then the secand day was not as the AC did not work and never fixed, so I could not sleep well that night. Also the house keepers when I asked for cleaning he did not clean the room.
Review 139:The staff at the reception is just okay. They are not helping and as may be only one of them speaks English it is a big problem. The person at the reception could not confirm by looking at the computer that I have paid the room charges and I had to provide the receipt. Also I was called again and was told that I had a booking for 2 rooms which they could have easily sorted out by looking into their system. The break fast is just okay. The lifts also need service and numbers need to be increased.
Review 140:Location is good. The size of room is also good. Breakfast is satisfactory.
Review 141:Very bad smelly pillows though they put washed covers but smell won't go. Mattress was worn out due to extensive use. Could not sleep well also because of non-stop noise from construction work in sorroundings. We were forced to Check out four hours earlier than schedule time due to some emergency with hotel. Breakfast closed two & a half hour earlier. Wifi not working in room.
Review 142:Location & cooperative staff.
Review 143:Reception at first floor. Not enough space for car parking. Bad smell inaccommodation floors. Beds are not comfortable at all. Very expensive towhat services provided. Internet not that good connection and speed.
Review 144:Reasonable location to the holy mosque.
