Reviews for Summit Ridge Tagaytay

Review 1:difficulties of opening the front door due not good condition of the lock.

Review 2:convenience of available facilities ( restaurants, supermarket, etc.) within the hotel area.

Review 3:1. your a/c is not impressive . as to control of temperature, 2. old cabinets 3. there is only 1 chair for two persons occupying the rm. 4. may i suggest that u put a small chair outside the veranda so ur client can sit and do stargazing in the comfort of their room

Review 4:the view is great

Review 5:Our room was not prepared to receive their guest. There were no towels, toiletries, etc. I expected more for the money. Not worth the money at all.

Review 6:The view from my room would have been perfect if the coconut trees from Josephine's restaurant were not blocking the crater of Taal volcano.

Review 7:Lacks the hospitality feel and ambiance, considering that the establishment is in a prime location and the hotel rates are abit pricey. As we got a 2 bedroom suite, it has amenities of a kitchen with appliance and cooking/dinning utensils. Not all pans/pots can be used. One of the Teflon pans is peeling off making it unsafe to use. Even the ladle and cooking utensils are not in good condition to use. The area where the kitchen trashcan is located is stinking. The shower room drainage is clogged making the water slowly go down. Buffet breakfast is nice however as early as 8:30am, it took the staff a long time to refill/replenish the food. although the food is nice they could have at least had a variety as during our stay the buffet entrees served 3 kinds if sausages, ham, and bacon only. for the scrambled egg, it took time before they can refill it. even for the dessert (pastries/cake/fruits) it took time for them to replenish. The hotel has free WiFi however the connection is very slow and connection to other networks like Globe and Smart is not good as well. Even until check out, the person at the front desk just let me signed the document, without asking how was our stay or at least ask if we need assistance in bring our things down. She did not even gave a briefing or even asked for the key card. It was later after I had checked out that I returned the key card and didn't even gave me any receipt.

Review 8:The view from our room was very nice. Location is accessible to shops and strategic. With free parking. The two bedroom suite is spacious however the hotel should have looked into updating the amenities that goes with it because we paid a high amount and we were not able to fully maximize the amenities of the suite.

Review 9:None

Review 10:I like the location of Summit Ridge. It is near a commercial center will a grocery and restaurants. The open-air set-up of the hotel is also a plus!

Review 11:Toilet without a bidet , they can fix a hose with a nozzel for personal cleanness. Hope next time they care for that.

Review 12:Every thing in general was OK Except not having a toilet bidet or at least a washing hose with nozzel for personal cleanness.

Review 13:woke up early in the morning to the riot of a marching band! Then I realized there was local Tourism Summit happening at the lobby.

Review 14:location is very convenient

Review 15:The bathroom wasn't thoroughly cleaned upon first entering. The occupant before me left a used razor near the sink that the staff did not notice.

Review 16:Loved the location and the view from our window. The garden was also nice.

Review 17:generally, everything is clean though i'm not sure if it's just me or the floor is not that swept properly. keep up the good work though

Review 18:comfy bedroom/food and excellent view

Review 19:Some of the front desk staff doesn't seem like they want to work there. Hotel lobby is a bit dark and lack energy or ambiance (no hotel background music)

Review 20:Hotel room cleanliness some hotel staff are friendly. I think the security guards are more friendlier than the front desk staff. Hotel is close to restaurants, little shops and some hole in the wall bars.

Review 21:The Hotel doesnt have a wellness area wherein you can have a hot or steam sauna.

Review 22:Hotel personnel are all courteous and very attentive to our needs. Fast delivery of service. The buffet breakfast has good tasting foods at a low price of 499 only. They accomodated our request for late check-out and we really appreciated that.

Review 23:You can hear the noise of the cars passing on the main road outside. Suggest they make the rooms soundproof so guests can sleep better at night.

Review 24:Location

Review 25:In room 506, there are some ants on the bathroom sink. The door to the balcony needs a little tinkering to open. light sleepers may have some issues regarding noise caused by passing cars from the main road (does not borher me since i like to sleep with the TV on :) Other than that, it's all good :)

Review 26:We booked the Classic King room (oct 2015 for 3 nights) and overall it was great (size & value wise). The location is near some restaurants (including josephine & gerry's grill) & robinsons supermarket so it's convenient in buying food & other basic needs, and starbucks is near too, there is also a view of taal lake from the room's balcony (we could not appreciate it much because it was hazy at the time). Since it's along the main road, it's fairly easy to access public transpo like bus/jeep/trikes but could not seem to find any taxi though. spacious free open parking area and basement parking for hotel guests. We can't comment on the buffet and the swimming pool since we did not try it. We had a great stay and would love to come back to summit :)

Review 27:the promo rate didnt offer free breakfast..some foods on the menu were not available like the Batangas bulalo...

Review 28:The room was clean, the swimming pool as well...bath towels were ready on the tables beside the pool..staff and guards were courteous..

Review 29:Hair strands on the floor of the bathroom noticed on the first day. Old shower fixtures. Slightly poor tv reception.

Review 30:I like the view from our room, accessibility to restos, the staff.

Review 31:Couldn't use the pool because we felt uncomfortable with so many construction workers nearby.

Review 32:Great promo price & the breakfast at the on site restaurant was delicious.

Review 33:Im not satisfied bec there's no breakfast buffet included in our stay for that rate we could have a free bteakfast like other hotels in tagaytay. We did not enjoy the amenities bec of the cold weather kids cannot swim you should have an indoor pool.

Review 34:Just the room. Anyhow they gave us comfortable sleep for a night.

Review 35:I think the only bad experience I had will be with the repair going on and the air conditioning is not cold enough.

Review 36:I like the view. I like the area. the hotel itself is fair. I might be at the wrong time due to some repair going on so it is a little bit noisy at the morning.

Review 37:I will rate them very poor in customer service. the system on how to pay them if you book online is confusing. They are not communicating and coordinating this matters to their clients. Poor website as well and a not so good view at all in the room.

Review 38:The bathroom is nice and clean very modern

Review 39:Although most of the receptionists are polite, but there is one receptionist seems to forgot to respond with polite words when I ask questions or inquire. The balcony is flooded when raining heavily.

Review 40:Location, views, friendly and helpful staff

Review 41:The bed is a bit hard. And hope they can add a DVD player.

Review 42:The suite was perfect and spacious for 4. It had pretty much everything we needed to make our brief vacation restful and enjoyable. It was also clean.

Review 43:It was dark in the hallways at night. A tv guide would have been helpful.

Review 44:Room and bathroom was clean and bathroom had toiletries. Water heater worked great. Generally ok since we just stayed overnight and were mostly outside the hotel anyway.

Review 45:The smell of the bedroom ( smells like the room is not used for along time) Choices of dish for the breakfast are limited. The rate is not worth ( too expensive)

Review 46:The staff promptly attended to our needs

Review 47:The shower drainage in 609 isn't working. When we took a bath at night water is still on the floor when we woke up in the morning.

Review 48:We like the location and how comfortable the beds. Most especially the reliable and prompt housekeeping.

Review 49:Nothing serious, only that my dad didn't get the chance to use the swimming pool. We went there to celebrate Father's Day. Hope they provide a store for swimming attire/s at the hotel so we could avail next time. Overall service are good. Thank you.

Review 50:The staffs are very warm and friendly that they make you feel home from the guards, to the front desk personnel and the restaurant staffs. It was a good experience for all of us including my parents and siblings. It is located nearby shops and Robinsons. It has the good panoramic view of Taal Lake. I did enjoy my photography skills at the same time. It's really accessible and the place is nice. Highly recommend you to get the Suite especially if you are travelling with group or big family.

Review 51:Sound of motor vehicles can be heard inside the room. Breakfast buffet no good. Towels old n thin for the price of hotel should be thicker. Soap given very bad.

Review 52:Staff are friendly and location is awesome! Some parts of the rooms need a bit of refurbishing... top floor rooms have the best view. The 2-br suite is very spacious.

Review 53:Breakfast has very few selection, refilling takes time. Uncleaned coffee cup and teaspoon in the room. Found dirty shoe sole under the bed.

Review 54:Location. They allowed early check-in.

Review 55:We booked through Booking.com and got a good discount on the Classic King room - but was shocked that the standard room rate (without promo) is in the region of a five-star hotel and pur experience was far from it. This is perhaps why there were very few guests checking in. The hotel is showing signs of aging and their sheets and towel need serious replacing. Room acoustics can also be amped up - the noise of traffic on the street was annoying. Perhaps make an electric kettle a standard feature of rooms and also, this is the first hotel I've stayed in with the room refrigerator seen in all it's glory. Invest in your property and surely your guests will come in droves. All in all it was a "meh" experience for me and my family.

Review 56:It's conveniently located at the hub of Metro Tagaytay where you can choose to do and eat many things. There's wifi in the room (shoddy reception though) and their shower has got good water pressure and good heating.

Review 57:No wifi in our room.we ask for other room and the reception said theresno room available .

Review 58:We really like the location near at the grocery and restaurant.

Review 59:We were disappointed that the pool was under maintenance when we were in the hotel, we were really looking forward to enjoy it and its view.

Review 60:I like the room where we stayed, it was spacious and overlooking Taal Volcano. The location was pretty convenient, not much traffic in the area; enough parking spaces also are available.

Review 61:U can hear the noise of the next room.stayed on the 7th floor and the rooms are just separated by a wooden door.the guests next to us was so noisy and we can hear it loud n clear.

Review 62:The room would have been much quieter with sound proof windows---you can hear the wind howling at times. The room rates are a bit high, when compared to other nearby places. However, it is money well spent if you have young children as there is a nice grass area for them to play and a very nice swimming pool. Being able to walk (or take a very short walk) to Sky Ranch, as well as having Robinsons next door (buy your water, coffee, snacks) and being able to easily jump on a jeepney factored into our decision to pay the extra cost to stay here. However, if the room rates were lower, we would frequent your hotel more often.

Review 63:The location of the Summit Ridge Hotel is excellent and provides easy access to most places by jeep/tricycle/walking distance (Sky Ranch!!!). Having Robinsons next door was convenient as well. The staff is incredibly attentive (especially Butch at the front desk and Dennis the head waiter). The food was very good as well. The large bathroom was also very nice, good pressure and hot showers.

Review 64:When we checked in at around 2 in the afternoon, we requested for menu because we would like to take our lunch, but the menu didn't come at all.

Review 65:The location is near an affiliate mall.

Review 66:Check-In was a hassle. Due to being a fully-booked hotel, the hotel did not offer a "change of room" option even if others have already checked-out.

Review 67:Ambience Room View

Review 68:Some guest relations officers were not as attentive and alert when at their post (reception area). There were a couple of flies that got in and were quite bothersome at the dining area during breakfast.

Review 69:The view of Taal lake and the sunrise from our room on the 7th floor. The connecting door between our two rooms as it's perfect for a family traveling with young children. I appreviated the receiving officers at the entrance because they were on standby to help open your car door and unload your bags.

Review 70:Expensive and the hotel didn't meet the quality of what the guest is expecting. I fully understand that the area was affected by the typhoon but cleanliness should be maintain. Rate should be reviewed well because comparing to other hotel like for example new world hotel, summit ridge rate was too expensive and new world hotel facilities, services is far better though they have almost the same rate. Hotel should prioritised service of the area. Hotel itself has a great location but I was upset totally with service.
