Reviews for Dar Al Taqwa Hotel
Review 1:The car entry of the hotel is crowded ... with visitors cars, ... No proper places for check in, ... The employees are not well trained to face Muslim visitors with welcoming words, or with smiling faces, very bad image for our country.
Review 2:The place is really nice, having a very strategic location, ... It is just at the back of Masjidi Al Nabawi.
Review 3:Fruit basket. The quality of fruit was poor. Was very disappointed when I saw a USA sticker on an apple. The fruits are much better from Pakistan
Review 4:Location is excellent. Staff friendly, welcoming and cooperative. Food is great.
Review 5:Breakfast managment was a mess, the staff in the restaurant are uncooperative and unhelpful. The quality of the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired for, especially with such steep room rates.

Review 12:Every thing
Review 13:Management staff not helpful. Our room AC did not work. It took an entire to day to figure out it wasn't fixable.
Review 14:Cleaning staff and restaurant waiters all very nice and accommodating, eager to help.
Review 15:The room service was terrible and all meal orders were wrong, items missing or meat with vegetarian meal. Even after complaing the meals were unsatisfactory. Food poor quality, not upto 5* standard.
Review 16:Nice staff, excellent location, easy check-in.
Review 17:Food was the worst of all hotels overlooking Haram. It was very apparent they buy cheap products so taste, presentation, and restaurant receptionist/supervisor & staff are the worst. Not to forget that they have the smallest size food area also, during peak hours they don't manage traffic in and out well.
Review 18:Location, cleanliness, & security were friendly.
Review 19:Not clean
Review 20:Location for ladies section (zeyarah) is only few steps. Specious room(one bed room suit) lots of area are not well uteilized ,huge sitting room ! Small kitchen with good size fridge and stove . Loby is nice and staff at reception are helpful .
Review 21:Zero WiFi , i mention high floor room near elevator but not even though i arrived 16:45 and said room not ready, n room their coffee machine bt wthout water tea etc.
Review 22:Breakfast and location near women gate
Review 23:Breakfast area very small Breakfast staff not professional No enough parking area Slow response from staff
Review 24:Staff some friendly Very close to masjid
Review 25:Breakfast resturant low quality ,smelly & crowded. Weak wifi. Not that clean. Overpriced. $h!tty staff.
Review 26:Location Spacing( presidential suite )
Review 27:The room was dirty. No gym. Room service ( dining ) was slow and accositate knowledge of products, services and policy was weak. Little flexibility with check out time. They charged my credit card upon leaving the hotel even though I had paid for the services in cash during checking out. They called my mobile around 6 pm asking if I had checked out even though I had checked out at 3 pm that same day!
Review 28:The location is fantastic. The view from the 6th floor. Easy check in.
Review 29:wifi very slow, always disconected. Old tv and pic not clear.
Review 30:*location is super, very near to masjidil nabawi *Haram view is nice. *Staff is helpful.
Review 31:1) Very Bad WIFI service (never connects for many days) 2) Housekeeping response time is slow (on avergae they serve requests after many calls and after 2 to 3 hours). 3) Cleanliness needs improvement
Review 32:Location of the Hotel
Review 33:The furniture is old .. The room was not clean .. The wifi was horrible
Review 34:Location really excellent near the prophets apuh .. The Arabic coffees in the Lobby and Mohammed who serve it really kind
Review 35:Rate was very high. I booked on line for 1150 per night during weekend. My frind booked similar room at the same dates through travel agent for 700 riyals per night. This is very bad that the difference reached to 600 Reyals which is almost double the price.
Review 36:The location, service and confirt
Review 37:Although I requested to have a rooms in the upper levels, they gave me a room in the second. The quality of room was below average comparing to the avg room price per night. The bathroom was not that clean, for a whole day there was water all over the bathroom because of taking shower. The quality of food is poor. The service is bad. I realy don't recommend to stay in this hotel.
Review 38:Arabic coffee only.
Review 39:Service is not all that great. We stepped into the room to find no drinking water bottles. We had to call reception a couple of times before we'd get them. And following on, we had to make repeated calls to get anything. But to be honest, most hotels in that location are the same.
Review 40:Location is brilliant for ladies as the ladies gate is right in front. Very convenient. The rooms are very comfortable, esp the beds. It is worth the money.
Review 41:They kept me waiting for an hour telling me the the suite is not ready yet, after that they told me to stay in the room and wait for it to be cleaned. The carpet is old and ugly, the doors of the bathrooms are worn out..
Review 42:I liked the location, it's next to almasjed alnabawy
Review 43:Although I booked a Double Deluxe Room - I was given a smaal single room with no explaination. When I asked why - they then changed my room. They should have told me on checking that The room i booked for was no longer available.
Review 44:Nothing
Review 45:no proper rooms arrangements reception and reservation team not adequate no customer requests control due to high reservation level at the hotel
Review 46:location level of accommodation
Review 47:Internet speed is totally crab. Very slow.
Review 48:Excellent location. I think this is the nearest hotel in madinah and very convenient specially for ladies. Because when you come out from hotel , u will directly enter into haram boundary. Very nice and clean hotel. Ideal location.
Review 49:Reservation System was down for almost three hours. But Alhamdolilah the staff where so kind and they offered me another room with haram view as compensation. Without asking Jazahum Allah Khairan
Review 50:Room was very clean , Near to haram
Review 51:Attitude of reception staff was extremely poor. In particular, I would mention poor attitude of Ehab El-Tijani at reception desk who just couldn't be bothered that we had to wait 5 hours to be checked in. It seemed like they just did not want us to stay with them and stalled in giving us our room till 4pm, although we arrived at 11 am. When the room was provided for check-in, they did not provide one with 3 single beds for 3 adults despite being told several times during check-in about this requirement. Lastly, the hotel staff's attitude was unfriendly towards non Arabic speaking guests. I would choose this hotel again but only due to its excellent location otherwise the customer service wouldn't warrant considering this hotel for a 2nd time.
Review 52:Location, access to Prophet's mosque, availability of restaurants and commercial areas near hotel.
Review 53:The room size is small and claustrophobic for the room rates charged. Expensive hotel, but only value is the closeness to the Holy Mosque
Review 54:Closeness to the Holy Mosque and ease of access for women as the lobby gate opens closest to the women enterance into the Holy Mosque
Review 55:Breakfast has definitely some room for improvement!... Perhaps more international options can be added to the buffet.. Indian and Pakistani perhaps...
Review 56:Location; Location; Location --- cleanliness; helpful staff
Review 57:Poor service, the staff were working like somebody is pushing them to work! I ordered tea cups after Maghrib and received them after Isha prayer and had to call them again to request the cups although the cups should be normally in the room. Also when we checked in the room there where no seating chairs while it was a deluxe double room and had to call them to get the chairs and they just got one chair because there weren't enough chairs in the hotel !! Although the room should has two chairs with the coffee table as seen in the pictures !!!
Review 58:Location only !
Review 59:Excellent Hotel... Very near to Haram just opposite of women entrance.. Staff were very good. Breakfast was great, many varieties of food. Its not economic but very good for families with children.
Review 60:Room changed. Breakfast is crowded, waiters attention requires efforts.
Review 61:Location , very close to Haram specially the ladies mosque (suitable for elderly people)
Review 62:Hotel had only one restaurant which couldn't accomodate a large number of travelers at a given time.
Review 63:The proximity to the holy mosque. The hotel was practically inside the mosque and strategically located near eateries.
Review 64:I order for extra bed for adult they bring small bad one and not comfortable and they tell me they don't have another , al Marwara restaurant very small the hotel need to Renew the sofa not comfort old the bisnus suit very small and try to change for two dulex bed room they don't have
Review 65:The locaction. , the tea gardn , the easy check out , the one who serv the Arabic coffee very kind
Review 66:The furniture is run down and needs replacement to the standard of a 5 star hotel. Bathroom door knob was not functional and the carpenter could not fix it. Internet service is very poor almost non existent in the room.
Review 67:The location was excellent, the food was very good, so was room service.
Review 68:I did not like on the night of my departure the conflict about my bill. This was inconvenient to ask me if I had a prove of my payment. Hotel like this should keep the correct record of the payment and arguing in that way was inappropriate.
Review 69:I liked its location and welcome atmosphere every where starting from the elevators. Laundry service is super. Breakfast had a variety of food which is good.
Review 70:small restaurant, breakfast is very crowded so you need to go early
Review 71:Great location for the ladies door of the prophet mosque. Has extended hours for breakfast that starts after Fajr prayers.
Review 72:Service at breakfast time was a bit disorganized.
Review 73:The location can't be better, and the decoration style is very nice. Employees at the Reception Desk were welcoming and helpful.
Review 74:We booked three rooms and unfortunately they gave us one room at 4pm,the second room at 5pm, and the third one at 5:50pm at different floors The staff was not professional at all and kept us waiting so long to receive our rooms. They always promise you that your rooms would be ready in 10 min and you come to them after them and they ask you to wait and wait again. I have been in many other hotels numerous times and I have not seen something like this weak service before.
Review 75:The location was good and the hotel was quiet.
Review 76:Poor room services. When we arrived, we asked asked for water and the room services promised to bring but no body came, finally i went i brought it from the grocery. No services of 5 star hotel
Review 77:It is very close to Alharam
Review 78:Nothing!!
Review 79:- Location to the Masjid - Staff are very friendly - Welcome Arabic coffee and dates - Room was very clean and comfortable - Breakfast was excellent - Shower hot and strong pressure - Parking a bit difficult to get in but once in all is easy - Hotel generally very clean - Mr Ahmed Fouad even though we never met was great in accommodating us with email before our trip - Bell man were great in taking our luggage, very helpful and polite
Review 80:The location of the hotel was brilliant....you step out and you are in Haram. The Double Room, offered to me, though Haram View on the 1st Floor was too small but the Triple Room was fairly spacious with a little kitchenette attached. The Business Suite was also nice. Highly recommended for people going for Umra/Hajj.
Review 81:The staffs were so rude. The internet did not work at all. No one seems to assist me on the internet issue eventhough i've been calling all numbers possible. The staffs lack knowledge of english language. Did i mention the staffs were rude. No mineral water was provided in the room and when asked it took them 4-5 hours to brin up two small sized mineral water. Made a complaint to the duty manager but showed no difference. The hotel lacks quality, hospitality and manners. It is not my first time staying here but i assure you it will be my last. I would never recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. It is a waste of money, time and anger. The worst 5 star hotel in the country so far!!
