Reviews for Macaron Konagi

Review 1:staff's negative behaviours water drain problem no privacy because of noisy doors and -maybe- thin walls the streets are so narrow and because of that; car parking problem uncomfortable bathroom etc...

Review 2:breakfast arthitecture little dog named "cookie"

Review 3:The size of the room was relatively small but it didn't bother me much.

Review 4:The owner and staff was very helpful. Room was very clean and nicely decorated and the breakfast was also really good. Location is close to city center, so it's a big plus too.

Review 5:The team is extremely helpful and nice, the rooms are very clean. The hotel is in a renovated Greek house and on a narrow street. parking is a bit difficult un the area but they have parking lots around the neighborhood. The breakfast is excellent, various jams and cheeses. the backyard of the house was our absolute favorite. The owners have the cutest dog, Cookie. Overall, it was a great experience and we would love to go back to Macaron Konagi.

Review 6:I would have liked to have had a safe in the room. The rooms are on the small side for the money. Breakfast was not quite ready at 8:30.

Review 7:They had a very peaceful, relaxing and beautiful court yard where you ate breakfast. The other common areas and room were also beautiful. Close to many good restaurants, in the old Greek town, near to boat tours. We walked everywhere except the beach and otogar, which were easy to get the dolumus to. The staff was helpful for boat and travel plans.

Review 8:Perfect place to stay. I really enjoyed my staying in Macaron. Wrong direction was given on booking.com but not hard to find. İt is clean and design of the rooms are lovely.

Review 9:Being subjected to 15 min of TV selling haemmorrhoid cream or inane, noisy celebrity chat show whilst eating breakfast. Room very small. No written info /guides to the area.

Review 10:Lovely courtyard garden: comfortable bed: clean shower room. Friendly, helpful owner

Review 11:The owners really went out of their way to be helpful; both in securing travel arrangements and suggesting places to visit and eat. The breakfast was delicious in a lovely garden courtyard.

Review 12:We were surprised by the indifferent breakfast staff, as in most places, the staff have been friendly. The atrocious wifi meant we could't stay in contact with family vie Skype, email or viber.

Review 13:Location was great to walk around the town. We loved the comfort of our room and the open courtyard.

Review 14:The owners and staff were so warm and welcoming. The design and interiors of the hotel took our breath away. Fantastic in everyway including 'Cookie' the hotel dog.

Review 15:The wifi signal was weak. The room could have done with a tea/coffee making facility.

Review 16:A great little hotel. The rooms were cheap and very clean. The staff (the owners) were very friendly. They do a very good breakfast. The hotel is very centrally located.

Review 17:we had a great time at Macaron Konagi. Wonderful breakfast in the beatiful little garden. The staff is really helpful and the owner of the hotel is so kind.

Review 18:Difficult to find, taxis seemed to drive round in circles imcreasing the fare. Breakfast was very ordinary and not very fresh.Manager did not orient us to hotel or facilities nor provide us with map. ( of course we managed this ourselves but the "best" hotels provide this service. I really did not like the poor dog stuck in what was no bigger than a table size area whining all the time. It was the fact that the dog was locked up in a small space that upset me not the whining. Owners of hotel were oblivious to this.

Review 19:The room was beautiful and comfortable. Lovely courtyard garden. The Manger organised our bus ticket for which we were very appreciative. Wifi was inconsistent

Review 20:Bathroom was a little small (but everything was there!) It's a bit tricky to find and the narrow streets are difficult to drive through

Review 21:Rooms were all beautiful, very tastefully done and roomy Full size fridge a bonus Breakfast in the garden was great Staff really helpful especially around parking Lovely place

Review 22:Nothing about the hotel but the area where the hotel is an old town and the streets are too tight. This may be a good thing for some others as well to leave in history

Review 23:It's an old stone house that was converted to a hotel, the interior was done superbly and the please is run by a couple and that makes is more friendly.

Review 24:The one room was very small for two persons.

Review 25:The breakfast was very nice with homemade products! The couple of owners were very friendly and their hospitality was great! The location was very near to the center and to all transport means stations.

Review 26:Nothing

Review 27:The hotel is in the rambling back streets of this wonderful, scruffy working town full of Turks and only a few European tourists. The hotel and the town in combinitation must be the jewel of the north Aegean.

Review 28:An authentic Ayvalik house with all facilities and luxury you will ever need...A wonderful garden awaits you for breakfast. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated..And the best hosts ever. Our flight was delayed for 5 hours and the owners showed the best hospitality ever. Would definitely go back...

Review 29:none at all

Review 35:Excellent breakfast, smiley stuff, nice rooms

Review 36:Room a bit small for family, parking a few minutes away.

Review 37:Fantastic breakfast, very tasteful decoration. In the middle of the old town.

Review 38:Wifi required patience but worked in the end. We left the window open one night and the call pt prayer woke us - closed, no problem.

Review 39:Serap and Yavuz couldn't have been more gracious. They assisted us in exploring and shopping in Ayvalik. Their every recommendation added to our experience. Breakfast in the courtyard was the perfect start. Quality bed and bedding. Central for walking any time of day. Beautiful ambience throughout.

Review 40:Everything. From top to bottom this is the best of its type in Turkey. We travel constantly and have never enjoyed a vacation spot as much as we did there. Every little detail was perfect, from staff to decor and facilities through breakfast and bed. All were great.

Review 41:Macaron Konagi is historical building, renovated with love and care. The owners are passionate about their establishment, which influence you into an enthusiastic state of mind. The hotel is very clean and very well run.We can go back to Ayvalik just to stay in this lovely hotel.

Review 42:Everything is better than perfect at this place! The building is beautiful located in the center of the old town. Room is very clean and comfortable to stay inside. We feel like its our home house. The breakfast is really good with local fresh ingredients, even the boiled eggs are tasty! We can really feel the high quality from all those details. We love this place! The staff (the young guy works during the day) is very friendly and helpful. Great service. We wish we could stay longer!

Review 43:EVERYTHING!!! Staff (especially the wonderful housekeepers Emine and Sinem), the decor, comfort, beautiful back yard, breakfast, location in the old town.

Review 44:I booked a single room and that room was very very small. There was a small place next to the room that I also could use but there was no light and it wasn't also very private because the doors had windows. The breakfast was good but nothing special or extra what you actually would expect in a place like this. For me the hotel really missed a good host/hostess to look after the guests and make the place more personal and more special because it has the potential for being a special place.

Review 45:The location is very good, in the middle of the old part of Ayvallik. The house is beautifully restored and has a nice garden.

Review 46:This hotel is a special old Pastor house rebuilded from zero.... you must see...Very Friendly and when the reception did not know how to help us , they found for us an old Greek from Creta that helped us to find our way . Breakfast out in a beautiful Garden !I will go there again definately

Review 47:The hostel was beautifully restored, it was a pleasure to eat theexcellent breakfast in the gorgeous garden. Unlimited tea and coffeeserved at no extra charge and no charges made for laundry. The staffalthough not speaking much english were so helpful and accommodating itwas a pleasure to stay there. I would highly recommend not a trip toAyvelik and to definitely stay in this hostel.

Review 48:no parking by the house possible Cooperation with Parking desirable Wifi worked only in office but not in the room and not in the garden

Review 49:Lovingly restored house with splendid ambiance Comfortable and well-equipped rooms lovingly Quiet well-kept courtyard Is located in the historic center of ajvalik Very friendly and courteous staff Highly recommended

Review 50:All stuf were very usefull but they might speak english maybe little bit bitter. :-)

Review 51:It was very clean and comfortable. Lovely design. I was ill and one lady brought me soup in the room and i didnt even ask for it. Hotel je predivan, dekoracija i cistoca na prvom mestu. Na par minuta od centra bazara. Bila sam bolesna i jedna Gospodja mi je donela supu u sobu a nisam je ni trazila.
