Review 1：The hotel was offering a cheaper rate than booking. I was not able to cancel my resevation. I paid 20.00 more.

Review 3：Room cleanliness was questionable, burn hole in the bead spread in our non smoking room. 2 towels, 2 coffees, old tv laying in the floor, obviously it had just been changed out. New tv worked fine, no hd. Couldn't get out the door with the old one? Just have guests tripping over it? Enrtry road is a disaster, pot holes you could lose a car in. Not something you want to drive a very expensive classic car over. Unfriendly signs everywhere, ice, check in policy, breakfast terms. Really?

Review 9：They have changed management since our last visit. The new management was very courteous, but one of the things we most liked about the place in the past was the excellent breakfast. They used to offer an exceptional country breakfast with a wide variety to suit any palate. They evidently no longer have the same good cook and are basically going to a continental breakfast. We were very disappointed. My husband loves some type of meat with his breakfast which they used to have and have dropped from the menu. He always wanted to stay at Magnolia Bay primarily because of the breakfast. The grits were tasteless and lumpy. The biscuits were cold and hard. The choices were limited. It was just not a very pleasant dining experience. At night the place is grossly understaffed. If you have problems or need anything, there is only one person there who is watching the front desk and you just have to wait till the morning. If your tv does not work or is new and not been programmed, has the wrong remote, which was our case, you just have to wait till the morning. You're checking out in the morning ????!!!! My husband is a "news addict" and was so upset. We changed hotels the next day.

Review 10：Love the location of the hotel and the room was clean and comfortable. We were greeted by friendly and very courteous staff. There is both a microwave and a fridge. They just installed new televisions and are currently in the middle of some remodeling which is great.

Review 11：I called before leaving home to confirm my reservations and they said everything was fine! They actually had me in computer twice. I got there and was told they didn't have a room for me unless I would take a room with two double beds! That's not what I reserved, nor what I wanted!

Review 13：The issue is that if Booking.com had updated the hotels information inthere system, there is no way in hell I would have stayed at this hotel.The hotel is under construction, there were no extra bed linens, whenone of the couples who rented a room with us needed to change thereblanket when we arrived due to a stain on it, they were told, the hoteldoesn't have anymore clean ones, Booking.com shows a buffet stylebreakfast; when we woke up to get breakfast in the lobby there was nobuffet. I asked the manager, where is the advertised buffet? She saiddue to construction the cooks couldn't have one ready. I said what!I told her, well it should not be advertised just to take peoples money.So we all had to get dressed and go get breakfast at another restaurant.Very inconvenient. Also when we first arrived the rooms were not readyfor check in. Elevator worked some of the time, pool was not open toswim and the weight room was empty!!!! Yes empty, no weights. I askedthem for the owners name because they should no how this hotel is beingran and people won't be bamboozled while loosing there money withfalse advertising.

The elevator was also a little scary. I have a heart condition and requested a bottom floor due to being unable to climb stairs but was put on the 3rd floor. They also do not enforce any quiet time. Our "neighbors" partied all night. Breakfast was not great due to one family making their child stand at the waffle maker and make waffles for everyone in the family until they finished eating all the while the line continued to grow. So we were basically forced to eat the cereal that was there unless you wanted to stand in line all day. I feel that should have been addressed by staff.

Review 28：The beds were comfortable and the air worked great. I did carry my own sheets but that's a personal thing. I guess the saying is true "you get what you pay for" it was a cheap price for a cheap experience. Front desk lady was very nice, so I will give them credit for that.

I scheduled a time for check-in weeks before I got there and yet I was quickly told check-in was hours later than I had previously scheduled and sent on my way. Also the bathtub wasn't even clean and there was already sand on the floor. Which leads me to ask, what else did they not clean before I got there?

As soon as we got to the pool room we could see where the hot tub once was, all paved over with concrete. This is false advertisement. I will be sure to never book for a Magnolia Bay Hotel and Suites ever again.

Review 73：Upon arrival, the property was unkept. Tall weeds in all the flower beds and around the property. The first room we stayed in had a dirty bathroom and the microwave didn't work. They moved us to another room, which wasn't much better. The "sleeper couch" we were supposed to have was just a chair that didn't fold out. Also, it was advertised as having a pool, hot tub, and workout room. The hot tub and workout room were not available our entire trip, and the pool was not available until the second day we were there. The hallway carpet was not clean, and it looked like they had layed the halal carpet, but did not finish it where it met the tile of an adjoining hall, so it was flapping up, causing a tripping hazard.

The fitness center is definitely not a fitness center. There is one set of workout equipment and it was so rusty. The breakfast was not appetizing at all. Oh yeah my room was on the first floor which was nice but there was a patio that all guest can use and they could look right in my room. The darken curtains don't close so I had to pull the curtains together and safety pin it to get privacy...will never stay there again.

Review 82：Our room was clean but it didn't have a remote to the tv. My wife went down around 10pm to ask my the wifi wasn't working and for a remote. Front desk clerk said she would "reboot" internet and send someone up with a remote. No one ever came and Internet still didn't work. I went back down next morning and different clerk found a remote finally but it didn't hardly work. Wife went back down later with iPad in hand and asked again about the wifi and they claimed it was working. We also had an android that wouldn't connect so we know it wasn't just her iPad. They finally "rebooted" system and guess what? It started working. Don't think they ever rebooted the first time she went down. The fitness room is just one rusty machine and the pool vents were not in place so a child's foot could become stuck in the bottom and they could drown. Also the hot tub had about 10 inches of black water and other trash in the bottom of it. They were making repairs or upgrades to the place when we left, but I do not think much will save the place if they do not overhaul the whole thing. It is also right beside the interstate so that's all you hear all night. Oh...did I mention the group of homeless people living right beside the parking lot??

Review 100：Well let's start by saying my wife and I got ate up by bed bugs or red bug. We had to move to a different room right next door. In that room the air conditioning bearley work. The iron had a button missing; our comfort had a cigarette burn on it. The refrigerator didn't work. We could hear the people in the next room having sex all day and nigh. We left at 8 that night and came back at 1:30am and they were still at it. Overall its was alright stay great staff and parking. It was quite and close to town

The "weight room" was rusted and broken, there was a group of very loud individuals in the room next door and down the hall.. Review 139：The furniture in the room could be a little more up keep... N that's reaching!! Everything was great

Review 140：I am a woman who made a careless decision... Instead of judging me.. The owners were very concern with my safety! I wasn't another customer.. She treated me like a human!! I'm humbled by this act!!

Review 141：There was not that many channels to watch on the television. The pool was not available for use. The hotel needed some maintenance upkeep.

Review 142：The breakfast buffet was very good. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
