Reviews for Z Bar Motel

Review 1:What's not to like; clean, secure, convenient and a great price. We will stay again!

Review 2:George is a great asset and very friendly to everyone. Knowledge of local area is excellent.

Review 3:The only negative would be that the pillows were not the most comfortable so I suggest maybe bringing your own.

Review 4:This motel had a great rustic charm in a beautiful area. I loved that we got our own cabin and right down the street we found some great BBQ and beer! Also, a great place for pets!

Review 5:Unfortunately, there didn't appear to be a hairdryer, but not such a problem as only stayed for one night.

Review 6:Nice sized cabin with good facilities - fridge, microwave. Great value for money; friendly staff.

Review 7:Owner was dour; I obviously was interrupting his TV watching. The cabins were shabby and could use updating.

Review 8:Individual Cabin with kitchen and outdoor bench.

Review 9:THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS NOISY A BREAKFAST WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE THE TOWN OF BUFFALO HAD FEW RESTURANTS OPEN FOR BREAKFAST.

Review 10:NICE QUIET UNIT PLEASANT SUROUNDINGS DIFFERENT THAN THE LARGE MOTEL FACILITIES.

Review 11:Need to drive thru entire town to get to motel, but is not too big. And you are on all the main streets.

Review 12:Very clean, well-kept place. Wi-fi worked very well.

Review 13:George, the manager made us feel so welcome and at home. Can't wait to visit again. The cabins are rustic yet new renovated. All the comforts of a modern hotel with the charm and quiet of a forest cabin. We loved it!

Review 14:Wireless was terrible at best. No phone threw us off a bit too.

Review 15:The room was spotless, cozy, and very quiet. The walls seemed to block out street/outside noise. Great location in Buffalo. Beds were comfy!

Review 16:Everything was great!

Review 17:Cabin with more comfort than most motels and many hotels: spacious, microwave, fridge, coffee maker. Beautiful wood and perfectly clean. Would definitely recommend and book again! Oh, and there is a small playground if you have kids! Beautiful mountain views!

Review 18:Late night guest arrival. Our cabin was part of a duplex and guests arrived well after 11 pm without courtesy of our stay.

Review 19:Really enjoyed the welcome received! We were able to move into our cabin right away.

Review 20:Each room is actually its own private guest cabin. You have space, privacy, comfort and a spectacular view of the Big Horn Mountains. It doesn't look like much from the road, but once you get to your room, you'll be blown away!

Review 21:Good location just 10 minutes walk from the main town. Pretty town with friendly people running the antiques stores. Lickety Split ice cream yummy.

Review 22:We had a cabin right next to the road which was quite noisy, but fine for one night.

Review 23:Loved Buffalo as a town! Fab little bars and eateries. Motel was very clean and comfy, basic but it's cheap so great value for money.

Review 24:Low water pressure. No pool and very small play area for older children.

Review 25:Cabins and parking at door. Quite and comfortable. Good place for adults and possibly young children.

Review 26:The snow!

Review 27:This was literally a port in a storm and a pleasant surprise. Any negatives had more to do with an early winter storm than the property. We would happily stay again!

Review 28:Our little cabin in Buffalo was quiet and comfortable. It included all the comforts of home and was conveniently located to everything in town. Spacious, clean rooms with comfortable beds. Beautiful, rustic decor and friendly staff.

Review 29:Nothing

Review 30:It's a cabin. Parking is right out the door. It was cozy, clean, private. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Manager (George) was very helpful.

Review 31:Room next to highway - very noisy so we could not open the window - and the air-conditioner was not very good and very loud (like most "window units") - interfered with sleeping.

Review 32:Clean Décor Convenient to our route Would stay - just not in the cabin next to the road

Review 33:Let me say this right up front. The rating above won't inspire you to stay at the Z-Bar, but of all the places we stayed on our 4000 mile trek, the Z-Bar was the most endearing to us. Would we return? Absolutely, because sometimes the whole is more than the sum of its parts. The Z-Bar will return you to a bygone and unpretentious era. It doesn't try to impress with pools and workout rooms, spacious indoor common areas and luxuriously appointments. But the individual cabins are charming and formed a large U around an old fashioned and attractive common green with a simple garden and a few trees, all affectionately cared for. The staff is as friendly as any we have encountered. The sense of peace and security encouraged us to talk to our neighbors in the cabin next door and what a treat that was. I would never talk to a stranger at the Holiday Inn. The room was smallish, but we're beyond needing to be pampered everywhere I go. And the bed wasn't Four Seasons, but we both slept well. We did stay at a Four Seasons, and Holiday Inn and Comfort Suites and Days Inn and others. Already they are forgotten. But the Z-Bar lives on in our dreams.

Review 34:A little warm but not bad. It was a hot day & the air conditioner was having a little trouble keeping up, but fine.

Review 35:Loved the cabin, roomy & clean Loved the shady grassy area with picnic tables & BBQ grills Fridge in the cabin was nice Good vibes all around

Review 36:Maybe a softer mattress.

Review 38:Nothing.

Review 39:Very convenient to main roads and attractions. Beds were comfortable. Cabin was clean, quiet, and roomy. Staff was very friendly. Enjoyed the quaintness of the property. Would stay there again.

Review 40:The only real complaint I had was a shower head. The water pressure was very weak since it was a water conserving shower head. Not a big deal, but I would've liked more water pressure.

Review 41:The room was clean and comfortable. The owner was very friendly and helpful. This was a perfect place to spend the night as we were passing through. Great value!

Review 42:From the online photos it looked like it was out of town on a lake, but the lake was a drive. A little disappointing but we were just passing through for one night so Iit was perfect for our needs.

Review 43:Just perfect for the price and the staff was exceptional. Amazing to have a fridge and microwave for the price.

Review 44:lack of shade trees at the rear of the property taxed the air conditioning system. on the units that faced the sun.

Review 45:Room had a full kitchen which came in handy for preparing our evening meal with several friends. We took advantage of the picnic area that was well maintained with lots of shade trees. If you enjoy a rustic, well maintained, relaxed atmosphere; this is the place for you.

Review 46:Somewhat off the beaten path and away from big attractions.

Review 47:Good TV and internet. Like the privacy and setting as a separate cabin located in a park-like environment with a dedicated driveway next to the door. Price was affordable and service was very good.

Review 48:Park like area available for grilling

Review 49:Not near interstate, only had to ask for directions once!

Review 50:Older well kept up rustic cabin. Well suited for Wyoming Big Horn Mnt area.

Review 111:Individual or dual cabins were very clean & comfortable. My wife & I were very pleasantly surprised!

Review 112:we had a very clean cabin and we enoyed our stay.

Review 113:The queen bed did take up a lot of space, but not much can be done to fix that short of demolishing and rebuilding the cabin.

Review 114:The cabin was cute and in good condition. Good to see improvements like double-pane windows. It was a fun change from the sterile atmosphere of some (most?) motels.

Review 115:Very adequate for vacationers but business traveler might prefer more formal accommodations. We had no complaints.

Review 116:Separate cabins minimize noise from other tenants. Big bathroom with comfortable shower. All the basics. Good price.
