Reviews for Pine Bungalow Krabi
Review 1:- far away from the crowd means far away from the crowd. so if you want to go to other places etc. you have to rent a motorbike (I walked which totally worked for me as I needed some workout, anyway after all that awesome food) - could get boring if you stay too long (there is possibility to go diving, though!) - shower curtain needs to be replaced urgently and a bit of a makeover wouldn't hurt
Review 2:+ beach: hammocks at the beach, pretty much private beach, as there were only other hotel guests and local (thai) people :) + food: excellent food at a reasonable price. I first was skeptical as there are not too many alternatives nearby but the food is so excellent I never wanted to go anywhere else!! + two chairs at the entrance of my bungalow, so nice possibility to relax, also neat arrangement of bungalows so you can easily get in touch with your neighbors if you like
Review 3:We did not have air conditioning and would recommend getting a room with AC. We had mosquitoes in our room and it was so hot..other than that, we would stay here again!
Review 4:The restaurant is amazing at this restaurant. Best prawn pad Thai that we have had in Thailand. The sunsets are a must see.
Review 5:Only one issue was not working public lights on the street so when we walked in evening to village, we had to use light on smartphone...no big deal. Fixing is in progress :)
Review 6:We stayed for one week there. Its beautifel place, very relaxing and quiet.Locate next to the village about 20min walk, there is several markets there. The food in Pine is amazing and for that quantity cheap, in the village is more expensive. Stuff were superb, helps with tours and make a good price for us. There is also low and high tide, which suprised us when we arived but its changing 2 times per day so lots of time for swim. Any way on the beach in the village you can swim all the time. We highly recommend this place.
Review 7:Far away from the city The beach after the tide is only rocks(in the afternoon) When you need to move somewhere with Tour, it is better to go to Ao Nang city(about 20 min with a motorbike) insects in the room Very loud fan- better take A/c room Not clean bed
Review 8:Sea view (when the tide is on-in the evening) Calm place Taxi from the bungalows to Ao NANG city is 300bt Owner is helpfull He aleays wants you to pai for everything later(dont know the reason why?) can rent a motorbike at the hotel for 250bt
Review 9:Antsssssss No public transport to the place
Review 10:The staff are superb. They are willing to help you with anything. The place is literally on the beach. The surrounding is so peaceful. The reflection of sunlight on the water is so breathtaking in the morning and the sunset view is also beautiful. It would be so great if you have someone by your side, not alone like me. The restaurant serves delicious and clean food, but a little bit pricey. You can also rent a motorcycle for 250 baht a day. It will be super convenient. No other shop or retaurant nearby. The closest one is like 20-30 min walk away. You can also rent a motorcycle from the city center and ride to the place. It will take you 35-40 min with 50 km/hr speed.
Review 11:The property feels like it really needs freshening up. The room was comfortable enough but there are definitely more comfortable places in Krabi for more or less the same price.
Review 12:The property is well out of the way and that helps to make it have a relaxing feel. The beach is beautiful and it's nice to stay up and watch the sunset from the hammocks.
Review 13:The main problem with our bungalow was ants. Lots of ants. They were there even before we brought any food inside, coming through the cracks in the walls as well as through the front door. Once we found a gecko and a millipede, didn't bother us much but they obviously had no problems getting inside. Our sheets were a bit damp when we arrived, and overall humidity was a little to high. The lock on the bathroom door was broken. Bath is not isolated from the main room, and you can hear all the noise from the restaurant from there as well. We still enjoyed our stay, but it would be much better if not for these things. The bungalow could use some proper furniture, the small plastic table we had wasn't really good for anything except putting some stuff on top of it. The furniture in the restaurant is also pretty old and menus are dirty. Hope they'll make some renovations in the future.
Review 14:A really nice place! Beautiful territory with lots of greenery, and the sea is only a few steps away. You can't swim in low tide, but there is still plenty of time when the water is deep enough. Keep in mind that the sand on the beach is pretty hard and has lots of shell fragments. The beach has some bamboo huts, chairs and hammocks, as well as a fresh water shower.Everything is so quiet, no music, no traffic noise. Birds are singing all day long, and when you go out at night there is a sweet scent of flowers in the air. Lots of cats running around. A very relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. We asked to change our bungalow to A/C beachfront and didn't regret the decision, the air conditioner was great and we also had hot shower and wi-fi internet connection inside of the bungalow. You can chill out on the porch which has a couple of chairs, a hammock and a beautiful sea view. I saw many complaints about the hard beds, but ours had two mattresses and wasn't any harder than the average Thai bed, so I guess they fixed this problem. The electricity works all day and night and doesn't turn off when you leave. We had a power cut once, but it was fixed very quickly. The staff was super friendly and helped us with all our requests. You get a filling breakfast in the morning, the restaurant food is not very cheap but tasty and the portions are large. There's a laundry service, a taxi, a massage, a volleyball court and ping-pong tables. They organize trips to the islands and can help you with booking tours from other companies. So while the location is pretty much far away from everything, it's not like you're stuck in there — you can always take a taxi to Ao Nang or go on tours every day. But it's great for staying away from all the noise and large crowds. If there was a convenience store nearby it would be perfect, but, well, you can't have everything. The closest one is in the village 2 kilometers away.
Review 15:They didn't clean the rooms. Far from the city (but if you have a motorbike it's ok) No hot shower
Review 16:Hotel is right at the beach and there's beautiful view, people just from the hotel. The room is clean when you arrive, but then they don't clean it during your stay. Delicious food in the restaurant.
Review 17:Far from any market, bank, massage salon.
Review 18:Pine Bungalow its paradise! We booked bungalow on the front beach with sea view. Incredible views!!! Quietly and calmly. Your own private beach! The Bungalow separated its own balcony with sea view, table with 2 chair and 1 very interesting chair. Bungalow has personal hammock. Sea through 20 steps - it's a magical place! Every morning the birds sing - it doesn't convey how nice ear to sleep under song birds and the sound of the sea. This place for relaxation and gathering energy. + gorgeous sunsets every night + very good staff Tanu (he help you in everithing) + rental services of different good qwality bikes (+ 2 helmet free) + you can to order any tour (tell the stuff) with a very good discount and you pick up and brought to the hotel! It is very convenient! + restaurant with very good cooking!
Review 19:Nothing really
Review 20:Pine bungalows was a brilliant place to get away from the party life just for a couple of days. The food was absolutely amazing, the resort was lovely and the hammocks on the beach were chilling. Would high key recommend this place.
Review 21:We stayed at Pine Bungalows for 4 nights and it was awesome!! We already regret that we didn't stay longer. Food/Restaurant We almost ate all our meals in Pine's restaurant. We are vegans and we were happy that the chefs at Pine were catering to our needs. Basically, we got authentic tasty Thai food without fish sauce but with loads of fresh vegetables and tofu. Compared to other Thai restaurants we feel the food here is prepared with more love and with very fresh ingredients. And the portions are big! :-) In short, they make food exactly the way it is written on the menu and meet your requests. In fact, after traveling for almost 2 weeks now, we can safely say that we've eaten the best food at Pine Bungalow so far in Thailand! Room/Resort We booked the basic room without A/C. Mattress was good but a bit wobbly and room was clean. The resort is very green with lots of plants and trees. Service/Staff Very friendly and helpful, also fast and efficient. Very clean resort, they clean the beach every day.
Review 22:We arrived after several days of rain and and rooms were a little musty but we asked to change and was sorted no problem for us.
Review 23:Loved the location, staff, laid back atmosphere and the best food in Thailand
Review 24:Staff were awesome! Helpful in every way and very friendly. Food was delicious. Bungalows simple but clean. Grounds were kept up nicely and loved the hammocks on the beach!
Review 25:I loved everything. The place is amazing
Review 26:everything. There's nothing to dislike. the views the food the staff location. Everything. Next time we go To Thailand were going straight to pine. Bungalow. Perfect honeymoon location.
Review 27:The thing I liked most about this place was the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We even had a BBQ outside our bungalow one night and they kept asking if there was anything extra we needed! The location is perfect, right on the beach front! The beach is rocky at low tide so only good for swimming at high tide. There are hammocks on the beach which are perfect for relaxing. This place is very secluded and far away from everything so unless you have a bike you will be restricted to the bungalows. If you are looking for night life, shops, tourists etc then this is not the place for you. If you want a romantic getaway with your partner with complete privacy then this is the perfect place for you!
Review 28:The room was good but the bed didn't have a proper sheet, just a bed cover.
Review 29:We had the beach to ourselves. Definitely a place to relax and unwind with no distractions. Really good food, too. Very helpful staff.
Review 30:Nothing nearby
Review 31:A private beach, beach front bungalow at an affordable cost.
Review 32:Nothing
Review 33:The lack of crowds on the beach
Review 34:Everything was perfect! That was the best place where we ever stay. Peace, quiet place and private beach. We cant wait to go back
Review 35:Little paradise. Good food. Easy to rent a motorbike to move around.
Review 36:Location clean
Review 37:Too far from Ao Nang, Will cost a lot for pickup and drops
Review 38:Rooms facing the sea, at a very cheap price
Review 39:Location is far from town but it is suitable for relaxing and refreshing yourselve.
Review 40:The beach is all rocks!!!!!!!
Review 41:the portions were excellent, the food was delicious, and the prices were the best we found.
Review 42:expensive snack, no wife in the bedroom.
Review 43:near the beach, excellent sightseeing, quiet enough.
Review 44:Very friendly and helpful staff, food was amazing
Review 45:Loved the staff, so friendly and helpful with bookings, calling cabs, etc etc. BEST FOOD! pad Thai was out of this world delicious. Haven't had better before or since. Wonderful location right on the beach--loads of cool shells and coral, warm water. Beautiful! Hammocks everywhere. Friendly animals-mostly cats. Facilities were quaint, a bit cramped, but we opted for the cheaper option so I bet the ones with aircon splendidm. Only fifteen minutes from Ao Nang, so quiet and peaceful. Absolutely loved.
Review 46:Took us approx 45 mins in a taxi from the airport, so further away than Ao Nang or Krabi Town, but definitely worth the journey. The property has hardly any neighbours and a private beach so no people hassling you to buy stuff or masses of tourists disturbing your peace. We absolutely enjoyed the peace and quietness of this place, having a beer in a hammock watching the sunset and listening to the waves and the jungle around you. The restaurant serves amazing thai food, very reasonable price, also drinks and snacks in wide selection. The staff is so kind, welcoming and lovely, it seems a family run business and they also live on the property so it is also their home and they look after it very well. Our bungalow was the cheapest we could find, so a little basic with fan cooler. With an aircon it would've been perfect but that's just our stingyness. There was a tiny ant colony living in our shower but we could co-live quite happily with them and didn't get any insect bites here as we did in other parts of the Andaman coast, also no huge cockroaches like in other bungalows and hotels we've been to.The surrounding forest brings it's own excitement with gorgeous smelling flowers and fruit trees (the coconut milk in their curries comes from the coconuts in their own palm trees!) as well as birds, monkeys etc.The beach is perfect at high-tide with smooth bottom, but at low tide you have to negotiate some rocky bits til you get far enough to reach the water. There was some families with little kids playing on the beach and in the sea all day so the beach is kid-friendly.The staff can take you to Ao Nang in the morning at pick you up at 5pm for bht per person which is cheaper than the taxi for 2 so you get to experience the tourist crowds and hassle for a day and come back to your own beach for the evening (in Ao Nang get a boat to Railay as otherwise you will get bored quickly).
Review 47:The beds are very hard and the bungalows smells really bad. Moreover, the bathroom is connected to the room and you can hear some weird noises :) We found cockroaches in the bungalows. Also you must get used to a lot of insect and scorpions hanging around the staff only want to get money from you. We had to pay for the transfer even though they promised to drive us to the resort for free. Overpriced restaurant. The nearest village is 15 min away and it is islamic and they do not behave nice to tourists.
Review 48:peaceful and quite location bungalows surrounded by trees and palms
Review 49:Our first room was covered in ants. We went to reception about it and they just swapped our room. No problem
Review 50:Private beach was perfect. If you arrive late afternoon, the tide is out so it's all rocks. By the morning the seas in and it's beautiful. Staff helpful with booking tours etc and there's regular bus into ao nang
Review 51:We had cheaper bungalow not so close to the beach. It was very very simple and the tidiness was not so good. But for the price it was quite good quality. Quiete looong distance from Krabi..
Review 52:They served absolutely great home-made food!! Lovely and very quiet place, nice private beach. Not much people (in March)
Review 53:Not in Krabi. About 20 min away. Rent motorbikes and go into Ao Nang
Review 54:Nice staff, very basic but cute and comfy bungalows. Right on the beach. Great swimming when tide is in. Rocky when tide is out. Water shoes are a must have. Great food for great price
Review 55:Beach isn't the greatest as it's quite rocky, but won't be an issue if you like to just go for a swim rather than walking much in the water. Also jellyfish seem to like that area.
Review 56:Great place with very nice and helpful staff as well as excellent food!! They also offer really good tours at great prices. Perfect spot to go relax as it's far from Aonang and any other crazy action. Amazing value for what you get all around!
Review 57:it didn't smell nice in the shower room and toilet
Review 58:l really like the location , very peaceful and our bungalow just in front of the beach. also the food of the restaurant.
Review 59:There is no hot water in the room. At all. Wi-fi is ok, quite sketchy though - connects and disconnects frequently.
Review 60:Perfect if you want a relaxing beach holiday. Completely secluded, has it's own beach, very quiet, ideal for those who just want sun, sea, sand, cocktails ... If you want a bit more atmosphere though the hotel offers a motorbike rental service. Krabi Town is an hour by motorbike, Ao Nang 30 mins.
Review 61:Well worn accommodation, not cleaned during five day stay, restaurant cost above average
Review 62:Away from Ao Nang, quiet, good food, friendly staff, firm mattress
Review 63:Ants in a bungalow. Narrowness in a bungalow. The awful shower, used a shower on a beach. There are interruptions in water. Far to go to the central places. During outflow it is impossible to bathe. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the evening.
Review 64:Rather quiet, cozy place. It is a lot of greens, a good deserted beach with hammocks. Inexpensive accommodation. In some bungalows there is wifi.
Review 65:it is about 1,5 kilometer to the nearest small village
Review 66:very friendly and polite staff, good food, bungalow on the beach - you can see the sea from your bed :), we were there in the end of October and we were the only customers in the resort - the beautiful beach served only us :)
Review 67:It's really quiet location, not many guests so we could switch off for couple days. Delicious food, nice beach, perfect staff
Review 68:no hot shower
Review 69:location on the private beach friendly staffs
