Reviews for Old Taos Guesthouse B&B

Review 1:I don't have anything bad to report.

Review 2:We loved the food and the friendly staff. We managed to sneak in historical sites, wineries and some football. The staff was very accommodating and the breakfasts were great.

Review 3:My only complaint was that I could not stay longer. I had such a great time.

Review 4:They did a fantastic job of creating an inviting, comfortable, and relaxing environment. The main room had menus from town, hot water for tea, soft jazz, wine for sale, and comfortable chairs. Our room had plenty of storage, screen doors (front and back) a huge skylight, and a private patio for us. The hot tub was out back and we could soak while watching the sun go down behind the mountains. Breakfast was delicious (quiche and fruit one day pancakes and fruit the next, but they also had this tremendous granola as an option too) and chatting with other guests and our gracious hosts was so nice. We felt like we were way out in the country, but it was less than ten minutes from the Taos plaza. In addition to all of this our hosts gave great advice about what to do (taos pueblo) and where to eat (Taos ale house)!

Review 5:It was a little warm in our room at night. We needed another window to open up for cross-ventilation. It wasn't terrible, but we like it cooler.

Review 6:The property and rooms, breakfast.

Review 7:This charming, intimate B & B is well run by a wonderful couple. With yummy breakfasts, tasteful decor, and knowledge about the area, the hosts have put together a great place to enjoy Taos.

Review 8:The grounds of the B&B are wonderful. You pull into the drive and immediately feel like you have left the country. The owners are delightful and have secret culinary skills! Such a peaceful place.

Review 9:chickens,, golden retriever, wide open backyard giving sense of quiet and solitude yet only a few minutes from taos. the environment is an exact match to an expectaion of true taos dwelling! The owners have a strong committment to the comfort, needs and experience of every diverse client.

Review 10:That we didn't stay longer

Review 11:Owners were wonderful made you feel so welcome Breakfasts were great They were extremely g Helpful Wouldn't go anywhere else

Review 12:Only thing we didn't like, was our room needed a sitting area, which when we told the owners, they said they were in the process of getting.

Review 13:This B&B was in Taos without being in the city. Quiet country setting, great breakfasts, delightful hosts!

Review 14:The owners are the salt of the earth. The grounds are so nice, sunsets out of this world - They have chickens and get fresh eggs every morning. The breakfast is over the top amazing. They love what they do and it shows!!! We got engaged while in Taos and they gave a champaign ! I wanted to stay, but had to come home I guess.

Review 15:No TV in our room, but sometimes that's a good thing.

Review 16:Friendly owners - made you immediately feel welcome. Beautiful property with big garden - pet friendly. Individual tables for breakfast which I liked - that way you can decide if you feel conversational with others or not. Delicious breakfast.

Review 17:1) Adobe buildings have wi-fi issues. We had to connect to the internet on the porch outside our room. 2) No refrigerated air in the rooms. Taos is known for its cool evenings, but even in September it can be warm. Adobe insulates and if its warm during the day, it stays warm in the rooms. My wife could not sleep and the fan which was provided was not sufficient to cool down the room. We could have left the windows open but we would have sacrificed privacy and security. It's 2014 and the next upgrade the owners should make is refrigerated air.

Review 18:Location, serene landscape, beautiful grounds, historic aspects, caring and congenial hosts, reasonable price for value, updated and clean.

Review 19:Breakfast was fabulous. Owners were very helpful and pleasant. The peaceful serenity of the location. Being gently awakened by the crowing of a rooster!

Review 20:We had a great stay and weren't ready to leave. We're glad we booked two nights. The place was quiet and serene, decorated beautifully. Loved all the green space. Breakfasts were fabulous. Kathy and Bob were very accommodating and friendly. Enjoyed the dogs and hot tub too.

Review 21:, Very friendly owners. Great feel with excellent facilities & the breakfast was great. They modified the menu for our diet. Rooms recently re-done.

Review 22:Nothing....perfect place!

Review 23:We felt immediately at home & welcomed. The grounds are wonderful...see the birdhouse collection behind the hot tub. New owners, Bob & Cady are warm, helpful & happy. Breakfast was delicious, especially Loved the black bean frittata w/ salsa. Apparently, the decor has been redone and there are more improvements on the way. Highly recommend!

Review 24:There was nothing that I did not like!

Review 25:Each guest room had its own private entrance from the outside. It was close to the center of town yet it felt rural. Very quiet surroundings. The owners were very friendly and made a point of making you feel welcome. The breakfast was out of this world!

Review 26:That I didn't stay a second night. :(

Review 27:On arrival they introduced themselves and asked if there were any dietary restrictions. My sister has a severe dairy allergy and they made sure there was no dairy in her food. Most people don't ask.

Review 28:Could have used a better freezer in the communal refridgerator.

Review 29:An updated rustic decor - the best of both worlds. Wonderful adobe styled roomy shower, Located 2 miles from the plaza, in a rural area...quiet! No TV in room, Plenty of spaces to enjoy the outdoors. Flowers everywhere! Marvelous breakfasts. Helpful hints in enjoying our Taos stay.

Review 30:Absolutely nothing...

Review 31:We liked everything about Old Taos Guesthouse - the secluded, tranquil setting; the beauty of the house and grounds; the incredibly friendly hosts and the wonderful breakfast they made; and Scout the goldie! We only stayed for a night, but it was as perfect a stay as anyone could expect. We are already planning to stay again before too long!

Review 32:The property is quiet and serene, with beautiful gardens and outdoor sitting areas. Our room was bright, clean and comfortable, with a great skylight over the bed. Bob and Cady were terrific hosts, and breakfasts were hearty and delicious! We met some wonderful people here that we will stay in touch with. All in all, a perfect stay!

Review 33:Room was very small for 2 people and no tv.

Review 34:Left my tablet behind and the staff went above and beyond to get it back to me. Took it to a store for shipping. Very very helpful and considerate of them

Review 35:Great old hacienda with loads of New Mexican Charm. Excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful hosts

Review 36:The beautiful decor, the friendly owners and the delicious breakfast

Review 37:Beautiful place and charming rooms. Bob and Katy were wonderful. Very good breakfast. We'll be back.

Review 38:We loved the country feel of the property. Our room was lovely and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful but not intrusive.

Review 39:The quiet and calm atmosphere.

Review 40:Bed a bit soft

Review 41:Very friendly breakfast was terrific. Grounds lovely with places to sit

Review 42:All good.

Review 43:The general ambience. Great garden space. Very helpful staff. Might do with more direction signs.

Review 44:Hosts made everyone feel right at home. Breakfast was delicious. Views are gorgeous and so relaxing after a day out.

Review 45:Love the architecture. While the location is some what remote it is perfect once you are there. Calming and peaceful.

Review 46:The innkeepers Bob and Cady were outstanding in every way. Welcoming, informative, accommodating. Awesome breakfast..

Review 47:The setting

Review 48:Lovely hosts, fabulous views and excellent breakfast.

Review 49:The owners are such a great couple. Excellent hosts - and chef! Great, individual accommodations on a beautiful ranchlije environment.

Review 50:Bathroom and toilet were designed for dwarfs. Not useable for normal adults.

Review 51:Fireplace

Review 52:hot tub, granola, location, beautiful grounds, kind & helpful owners/staff

Review 53:nothing

Review 54:Quiet, lovely, great hosts, wonderful grounds, just a fine b&b

Review 55:I couldn't stay longer!

Review 56:Everything!!!

Review 57:Landscaping and lay out of property were lovely. Great staff and breakfast.

Review 58:Nothing

Review 59:Comfortable feeling. Great owners that get to know everyone. Great place to meet people from all over and outdoor setting is wonderful

Review 60:Lovely rooms, spacious grounds and views, very friendly staff, scrumptious breakfasts. What's not to like?

Review 61:Ambience, guests, breakfasts, great quiet location five minutes from the plaza.

Review 62:Inn keepers, location, breakfast, room #1 were fantastic.

Review 63:Nothing.

Review 64:Tranquil location. B&B was clean and very friendly. A place that was well cared for and safe. Appreciated the flexibility with my later than expected arrival. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Review 65:The shower in my (lovely) bathroom is small.

Review 66:I would like to rate this as higher than excellent. The building and site are exquisite and the (new) innkeepers are superb. The view west from their lawn is idyllic. Breakfast both days was great. Their dog Scout is delightful. The chickens who roam the grounds and provide fresh eggs for breakfast are charming. The whole experience was fantastic.

Review 67:This house is such a beautiful place! We loved to watch the sunset in the garden. Bob and Cady are the nicest hosts you can imagine and their breakfast is awesome. It can get pretty cold at night in Taos, but the heating in the room works fine. We hope to get back soon!

Review 68:Since the bed was new, it was a little stiff. I slept fine but my wife woke up a couple times from the firm bed. However, we'd still come back!

Review 69:The property was beautiful. The room has been newly redecorated with a lot of style. It was so cute, that we took pictures! The fireplace (kiva) was awesome to have in the room. Breakfast was a divine! It included coffee, tea, OJ, a green chili egg bake, "monkey bread", fruit, yogurt and granola. The owners were super friendly. There were chickens, a rooster, and a cute dog named Scout, which made the place feel homey. There is a spectacular view at sunset and the morning looking over green fields and mountains in the distance. It was close enough to Taos downtown (within a 3-5 minute drive). It was perfect. We left wishing we had one more day to stay there.

Review 70:The owner made you feel as if you were a personal friend. The place was secluded enough to feel the privacy which we wanted, however close enough to shops and resturants.

Review 71:Water pressure a little low. No tv in room.

Review 72:Quiet and casual setting. Flowers in courtyard. Feeding the chickens. Friendly dog (Scout). Skylight over bed (daughter saw the Big Dipper squarely framed above bed). Tiled vanity and shower give it the Southwest flavor as well as adobe.

Review 73:The bed in the Queens Room needs a new mattress and would always prefer down pillows over foam..too hard and not malleable for comfort.

Review 74:Loved the location away from town. The new owners were lovely and met some of the nicest guests.

Review 75:Nothing. It was close to the old town square and restaurants

Review 76:Cleanest bed and breakfast out of the ten or so we have visited. The grounds and inn are so beautiful, nothing ordinary! The owners were hosts from the heart and they are redecorating and upgrading the rooms to a level that will be five star. This will be far and above a stay at the usual bed and breakfast.

Review 77:Excellent hospitality and care by hosts beautiful grounds quiet, peaceful countryside location excellent breakfast chickens and rooster

Review 78:Hosts were exceptionally friendly and accommodating! There was a hot tub and a beautiful view of the sunset! Breakfast was delicious!

Review 79:Quiet location away from busy city central, but very convenient to the plaza; comfortable room; excellent breakfast; delightful hosts.

Review 80:Lovely spot with beautiful grounds We loved it all and would have liked to stay a few more days!

Review 81:That it didn't have a radio with an aux. option. :)

Review 82:Suggest a radio with aux. option.

Review 83:Beautiful....hosts were wonderful to deal with ...breakfast was delicious...rooms and grounds were charming....wonderful weekend!!

Review 84:Ambiance

Review 85:It was wonderful and will stay there again in the future. Tim and Leslie are wonderful hosts.
