Reviews for Wildwood Inn
Review 1:How close it was to the mountains! The view from the main room. The elk outside our cabin. Wood burning fireplace! The size of the cabin...it felt like home!
Review 2:We booked this last minute and this place is amazing!! We will be back! The Elk and deer right outside was awesome! Great location! Our boys first time to Colorado and they loved it! Thank you Wildwoods!!
Review 3:Misrepresentation and false advertising for what I was getting. I didn't get a cottage as I reserved, I got a hotel suite basically. They would not offer any other accomodations or honor any refund or cancellation. Told me to email you which I did with no response back.
Review 4:The Location was good.
Review 5:Upon arrival the fumes of Lysol/cleaning products were toxic, nauseatingly strong. We had to open the windows for 24 hrs and purchase candles. Also, prefer a real fireplace.
Review 6:Nice location, layout was nice. Wildlife was abundant.
Review 7:The queen bed was comfortable but we are used to a king for the size. The cottage would not fit a king bed though.
Review 8:A great hide-a-way in Estes for a romantic 3 day anniversary stay! The location on the Fall River is so nice and soothing to hear the water, even when there is snow falling. Having the elk right by the property and river adds to the mountain feel.
Review 9:The hot tub didn't look as clean add I would like, but it felt great!
Review 10:We loved to location - the creek below or balcony was wonderful! The private hot tub hut was fantastic. Kevin (@ the front office) was helpful, courteous and very knowledgeable about the area. We had the most AMAZING dinner based on his restaurant suggestion.
Review 11:No laundry facilities on the property. No daily room cleaning services included in the price.
Review 12:The room was spacious and very clean. The location is ideal for hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Park or visiting the town of Estes Park.
Review 13:The decor was very dated. The bed pillows/ linens were not very good quality. Towels were old and rough.
Review 14:Location was excellent. Kitchen had all the essentials for cooking. View of Mountains outstanding.
Review 15:The stairs were difficult for carrying luggage and the internet service was poor.
Review 16:The condo was clean, the kitchen well equipped, there was a comfortable bed and furniture. And the staff made sure we had everything we needed. It was just what we needed.
Review 17:The location was perfect! Breathtaking views from our private deck. The room was upscale and they thought of everything you might need. It was quiet and peaceful yet within 10 minutes of anything to see and do in Estes Park
Review 18:The only problem was with the lack of a good internet, however that made playing games with grand kids and adults much better.
Review 19:The free shuttle from in front of the Inn to the town of Estes Park. And, the closeness to the Rocky Mountain National Park.
Review 20:The sofa bed was very uncomfortable but they usually are anywhere you go.
Review 21:It was very clean, up to date furniture and we always had clean towels/washcloths. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful too!
Review 22:This was our second stay at Wildwood...and we look forward to many more visits! The staff are warm and friendly and the facilities are excellent. The hummingbirds add to the beautiful outdoor setting and the fireplace invites us to relax while we are inside. TV reception is great and the DVD player is easy to use. If you didn't bring a DVD with you, the staff has an excellent free lending selection to choose from. We cannot wait for our next stay!
Review 23:Not necessarily bad, but we had hoped to have a washer and dryer in our condo type accommodation, particularly for the price we paid. The hot tub spa was across the highway from our room so it was not convenient for use. We had hoped to use it each day and due to the distance we never did. We also did not like the 15% surcharge for cleaning service. We did not use it; a little much considering the price of the room. Also, although clean, our condo could use a bit of decorative updating.
Review 24:The view of the river from our balcony was wonderful. The sound of the stream was so very relaxing. Our accommodations were very clean. We had fun with the magpies: beautiful, intelligent, and somewhat aggressive birds. The chipmunks were fun too.
Review 25:The hot tub inside our unit took up a lot of space. But I guess if we'd done more strenuous hiking, it would have been put to use!
Review 26:Able to see the moon rise! Enjoyed watching the elk around the property! Our apartment was clean and quiet, with a designated parking spot right by our place.
Review 27:It offered a friendly atmosphere while also being relaxing. Additionally the staff was well versed in the area and more than happy to give advice for your trip.
Review 28:Having a hot tub in the living room is weird and a waste of space. This not, as sometimes described on line, a cabin.
Review 29:Great location. very friendly staff.
Review 30:The internet was slow, especially in the early evening. This is a common problem everywhere in Estes Park during tourist season when it is simply overwhelmed. Cell phone was spotty, but again a common problem in the area - not unique to the Wildwood Inn.
Review 31:The location was great. We had a large deck with a beautiful view of the mountains and were only a mile from the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National forest and a half mile from Dell Terra venue where we attended our son's wedding. The unit (#24) was very spacious and the well equipped with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Review 32:Nothing
Review 33:So close to Rocky Mountain National park in a beautiful town of Estes and close to a grocery store. There was wildlife right outside our apartment and the river was beautiful.
Review 34:Very difficult hallway to manuver getting luggage ect into.
Review 35:Liked the location, and view of the Fall River out back. Liked having a kitchen. Staff was very friendly.
Review 36:Wifi. We probably shouldn't have expected any and then we'd have been cool with the bad juju of pitiful wifi service. Really needed it briefly for work.
Review 37:These folks know how to create comfort. Clean. Warm (which turned out to be important during our stay) and friendly. Love the creek past our balcony.
Review 38:The rooms were a bit lived in. I renovation would not hurt. But this did not take away from the experience.
Review 39:The room was right next to the creek and had facilities for a barBQ. The kitchen had everything we needed in terms of utensils and they provided packs to make coffee. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Loved the neighborhood elk that came everyday to eat the grass.
Review 40:Right by the river, and we saw lots of elk. We loved the time slot for the hot tub, and the balcony in the room. Such a great place, we would definitely go back and tell our family and friends!
Review 41:Check in is way too late (4:00 pm), it's already getting dark. Then check out is 10:00 am the next morning, plus you have to vacuum and clean up! Also the outside of the buildings are very outdated.
Review 42:The suite was very clean and comfortable. The deck overlooked the river.
Review 43:Wifi was spotty seemed to work better on LTE. (I enjoyed being disconnected but when I did need to check on something it was poor connection)
Review 44:Did all of our meals in the condo. Very well stocked kitchen with plenty of room.
Review 45:Was a little confused on what we had to clean as guests. Felt like we were constantly worried about getting charged for leaving something a mess.
Review 46:The view was beautiful.
Review 47:Price was high for what we received. Spa bath did not work, no kettle to boil water, no laundry facilities. Plus a bit of a suspicious atmosphere with warnings abounding and noisy timers on electrics.
Review 48:Location near entrance to RMNP and size and spaciousness of unit. Good level of privacy and quietness on property.
Review 49:When we needed supplies, toilet paper, they told us to come and get it then only gave us one roll per day. Staff at the office were not friendly when this request was made.there were a few minor things such as Drawers in kitchen fell out when you opened them, beautiful view on deck but chairs were very uncomfortable, television was old and worked poorly Updates are needed!
Review 50:Location was beautiful and close to the park. Very clean.
Review 51:We stayed in the Sundance Suite and it was just incredible. I will definitely stay here again. Worth every penney! It was the best weekend in a long time all due to this suite!!!!
Review 52:The 15% fee for housekeeping I thought was a bit high, and I don't remember it being disclosed when we booked. We declined. The bed was supposed to be a king, but was more like a full. We requested a late checkout( an other hour) and even thought complex looked not busy at all, we were allowed only an other 30 min...Also we had to drive up to return the key at the office, were not permitted to leave in the room as all other places in our days. A bit hard on the stairs w the luggage( I mention this for ppl who would mind lifting)
Review 53:The view, the kitchen v well equipped, the overall comfort. The balcony, the BBQ outside by the river, the beauty ...just charming indeed!
Review 54:The ONLY issue we had was with the WiFi. Not that big a deal when you have such an amazing view.
Review 55:The staff were very friendly and helpful. We even borrowed a couple movies from the office for an evening in. The location is excellent if you want to go into town or into the National Park (via car).
Review 56:The only problem was that it did not have a/c and no fan in the main room so if you were sleeping in that room, it took until midnight to have a comfortable temperature in July.
Review 57:A bit of a walk to the pool Hot tub was dirty
Review 58:Helpful and friendly staff Great location outside the RMNP Humming birds! Rooms were clean and cozy Riverside room very pleasant
Review 59:The Wi-Fi
Review 60:The mountains were all Around , great view, quite and very close to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park... Clean around the inn and nice and cool with just the windows open... Very nice place to stay, just very slow Wi-Fi and most of the time could not connect.. Had to use our phone data to get the internet...
Review 61:The suite was fine for two of us, the elk wandering around the property was the best part.
Review 62:Everything was very good we enjoyed our stay nice and quiet
Review 63:Nothing really, just didnt think it was exceptional.
Review 64:The price was great for what we needed it for.

Review 69:We wish we had now time to stay!

Review 89:nothing

Review 91:Carrying our luggage up and down the stairs, would have preffered lower level maybe that was our fault for not requesting.ll

Review 112:Just a nice place to relax.
Review 113:The sleeper couch was very uncomfortable. The couch itself was too big to sit on comfortably.
Review 114:Being along the Fall River and the back deck.
Review 115:Location and porch
Review 116:The friendliness and insights of the hosts The hot tub The peacefulness The views from the balcony The proximity to the National park
Review 117:Proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park. Full kitchen in room.
Review 118:It is so far from the UK!!
Review 119:We have stayed at Wildwood before and rate it very highly. It is so close to the National Park and the rooms are beautiful. We just wish we could visit more often.
Review 120:no cable on tv in bedroom, and would have liked to have housekeeping come in at least every other day to freshen up bathroom and vaccum. but not a deal breaker if they don't.
Review 121:it was very serene and the grounds nicely kept. the view was fabulous and beds comfortable. Staff very helpful and nice. we really felt wonderful at your inn.
