Review 1：A bit of a musty smell in room. Perhaps the smell of cigarette smoke. Had to leave door open and fan on to air it out!

Review 2：It was very quiet. Good shower

Review 3：It wasn't a bad experience, I believe I got there when they were about to renovate, which was along time coming. The whole place was dingy and I worried about my safety as a woman traveling alone.

Review 4：The evening guest services staff was lovely. They had coffee, tea, and fresh cookies set out, cookies were still warm! This was complimentary.

Review 5：We were able to find vacancy here when everything around Mt Rushmore was either booked or more than we could afford due to the Sturgis Legends Ride. Plus, they generously accommodated my late checkout request.

Review 6：at the time we were there the pool was not open. the breakfast was so so with their butter being hard as a rock.

Review 7：the beds and room room were very nice. the front desk was very nice and helpful.

Review 8：non smoking rooms were obviously smoked in. Stunk so bad that when asked for air freshness spray (as they would not offer another room) then that can was empty ! So walked ten minutes to find a spray so we could enter the room. Breakfast -was it offered? No ! Was it there ? Pass! The receptionist was so unhelpful that we wanted to walk out bud could just due to having booked through booking.com and cancelation that late was not possible.

Review 10：If you advertise a pool, one would expect that there would be water in the pool. Also corners and along the walls of the room and the breakfast room were very dirty.

Review 12：Key card didn't work properly until the 3rd day, so I had to walk to the office every time I needed to enter my room. There appeared to be construction dust on bathroom floor and counter. Hot water was only warm for the first 2 days and then finally started heating up for a hot shower by the 3rd day. While the air conditioner cooled, it was very loud. Completely missed serving breakfast one day.

Review 13：I liked being on the ground floor and parking in front of my room, which was quiet from within and no traffic noise. This room provided me with shelter and reasonable comfort. I used the air conditioner during the day but had to turn it off at night because it was too loud.

Review 14：Poor staff support. Checking out took 15 minutes as house keeping had to ring the receptionist that was not begin the desk. Hot breakfast had run out early, and no top ups.

Review 22：We were at an event during the day and no one cleaned our while we were out. we had to go complain before anything happened. The front desk clerk did contact his supervisor and gave us half off of our 2nd night and a free stay at another time. the property was being remodeled and is a transition state.

Review 25：Pool was really cold with a fair amount of dirt on the bottom. Not a big deal to most folks, but my 3 yr old couldn't stay in it long and that was the main reason we went with this place instead of somewhere cheaper.

Review 26：They let us check in early (2pm). One bed had a pretty bad indentation in it but the other bed was great. Clean, other than a stinky shower curtain, but that is a problem on most places with cloth curtains. Breakfast was good, Internet was reliable.

Review 27：I tried to check in after having a guaranteed room after a 14 hour drive. The clerk was utterly incompetent. He sent me and another guest to rooms that were already occupied and then he told me there were no rooms left except smoking. He couldn't get hold of the manager and then the only thing he could offer me was a refund. The place looked not well taken care of either but I just needed a room. Never stay there!!!

Review 32：I rented two rooms over Longmire Days. My room was fine, however the room my mom and son had was terrible ! Missing 5-6 light bulbs, the ac was loud and noisy, no remote, no garbage can, no ashtray (even after we asked for them). My room had a microwave and fridge- theirs did not. With all that was wrong with the one room ,I feel I was terribly over charged !!!

Review 36：not being able to check in till 2+hours late, no washcloths provided, no waste basket in the bathroom, my husband found a used tampon in the toilet paper roll, maybe if there was a wastebasket in the bathroom it would have made it in that, seems like it could have been a health hazard.

Review 37：the room was very comfortable once we where able to get in it. the people that were working that day did what they could to accommodate the situation, much appreciated.

Review 38：Housekeeping could be improved with more care taken to cleaning. Some small maintenance needed to be done ie hairdryer case came off wall, shower handle fell off. Breakfast facilities needed updating. Hotel seemed to be getting work done but not finished. Lack of staff around.

The carpet felt almost greasy and was damp and also had giant tear that went from east to west walls, the curtains had blood spatter on them, the t.v. set was a tiny box type with lines running through every channel. The pool was closed but after seeing it and the rest of the building, I wouldn't have taken any chances on it. There was a bbq restaurant in the hotel, but when peering through the window of it, it was closed up and covered in dust. The hotel needs ALOT of work and we would never stay there again for $117.00 per night. Total rip off and should be more like $50.00 per night.
