Reviews for The Sayre Mansion
Review 1:rooms can be quite noisy if it is on the side facing the highway.
Review 2:cozy; very nice staff; great breakfast. We have been in this hotel more than 5 times. It never disappoint us.
Review 3:Can't think of anything.
Review 4:We have stayed in older historic homes and inns before but this was the best of all. It has been beautifully restored and tastefully decorated. Overall cleanliness and friendliness of the. staff were excellent. We will visit again.
Review 5:could not access the free wifi and the assistant was of no help when I inquired in the front office. It was a hot day, but the top floor hallway had odd odor. The rest of the inn was great!
Review 6:the breakfast was wonderful and the facility was beautiful. You could relax on a wonderful porch.
Review 7:Nothing not to like.
Review 8:I had to leave at the crack of dawn but my wife had breakfast with the boys and said it was awesome! The giant comfy bed was also great. Oh yeah the jacuzzi tub was fabulous as well!
Review 9:Traffic around the building is horrendous making for difficulty walking and challenging driving.
Review 10:Room and bed very comfy. It's a grand old place that has been saved as a historic building. Very accessible to the south side of Bethlehem and downtown if you can stand walking over the Hill to Hill Bridge. Breakfast was good.
Review 11:The conditioning system in the room is a bit loud, and our bathroom window faced conditioning facilities on the roof which might disturb you during the silent Bethlehem night.
Review 12:This was a vary pleasant stay in a very comfortalbe hotel. The location is very good: all main attractions (historic center, steel factory and university campus) are in walking distance from the hotel. Staff is extremely nice. The interior and exterior of this old hotel is charming. And the breakfast is outstanding: menu changing daily and it's a buffet + your choice of main dish from the menu. Would stay here again if return to Bethlehem.
Review 13:If you are a GPS dependent person like me, you may end up on the other side of town as the Mansion is surrounded by one-way streets. A little awkward at first but I figured it out in the morning when I could see what I was doing. Not that big an issue.
Review 14:The warm welcome we received when we walked in the front door started the experience off right and it got better and better from the great room, comfortable bed and excellent breakfast in the morning. Thank you.
Review 15:Train sounded like it was coming through the bedroom. Would ask for room not facing busy traffic area.
Review 16:Extremely comfortable bed and clean, well stocked bathroom.
Review 17:The place is old which I found charming but it made for a decidedly different experience from a hotel.
Review 18:As a weary traveler I felt like I had made it home when I got to the mansion. The in-room fireplace made it feel so cozy, and I felt like a guest in someone's home. The staff was welcoming, the food was great, and j loved being able to walk to campus while being situated close to the bridge for easy road travel.
Review 19:Nothing I wish we could have spent more time .
Review 20:They waited for our arrival until11 pm and served an early breakfast ( delicious!) Romantic elegant interior
Review 21:My husband and I wanted more than the Hilton, this Bed and Breakfast has it. All the luxuries of home plus more. The comfort of the bed, the pressure from the shower head, bath robes, the georgeous ceilings, the wing chair were superior. The free breakfast was wonderful. I truly appreciated the cloth napkins. Top notch service! You will not be disappointed.
Review 22:We liked everything!
Review 23:The room was so clean and comfortable. We did not want to get out of bed, it was so nice! We loved the breakfast in the morning. The staff was so friendly, building was beautiful. Lovely Christmas decorations. We can't wait to come back!

Review 25:Lovely location; nice staff; absolutely delicious breakfast! Nice antiques. The Christmas decorations were over the top! They went all out. We really enjoyed our stay.
Review 26:Bath was small, as was shower. Left turn out of property was tough.
Review 27:Clean, spacious, comfortable room. Nice view. Quiet. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast, served promptly. Nicely decorated common areas. Plenty of parking. Great location.
Review 28:The mansion was walking distance to downtown Bethlehem and all it has to offer. The room was beautifully decorated with antique furniture and the bathroom totally modern. We enjoyed a fire in the living room in the evening having a glass of wine. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Review 29:Short ride to town but not a "walking" location as it is a fairly busy area. Don't let this deter you!
Review 30:The Inn is just what we were looking for to spend Thanksgiving. It exceeded our expectations. The suite was spacious and comfortable. The fireplace was broken so they impressively gave us a discount without asking. We'd return!
Review 31:I would live to see more written information on Robert Sayre and the history of the Mansion. The innkeeper was very informative, but i would have liked to sit and relax with it in the comfort of my room.
Review 32:It was authentic and well-preserved with all the modern amenities.
Review 33:This was our first visit. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean any cozy. Great staff and breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.
Review 34:Can't think of anything I didn't like!
Review 35:The home is beautifully decorated in period style. The breakfast was delicious, the coffee spot on! The porch was a comfortable retreat to rest and do a little work. Took a nice walk around the neighborhood and slept like a baby. I highly recommend the Sayre and I look forward to returning.

Review 43:A beatyful room and House . Friendly atmospfere.
Review 44:Lovely building, good value, pleasant staff, and very nice breakfast.
Review 45:Stayed in a suite overlooking road which was a little load due to traffic. Not the fault of the B&B though.
Review 46:Breakfast was wonderful.
Review 47:SPACIOUS!
Review 48:Great location. Good value. Would definitely stay again!

Review 51:The mansion, the large room, the breakfast - everything is just great
Review 52:Character, Location, Sumptous
Review 53:The history of the place was fantastic. All of the rooms are a little bit different and have a story behind the original owners.
Review 54:WI FI
Review 55:Comfortable and roomy
Review 56:Road noise
Review 57:Beautiful setting in an urban location
Review 58:No selection for breakfast. No air conditioning. Stuffy room.
Review 59:Nothing.
Review 60:Comfortable, location. Great breakfast, the staff was GREAT.
Review 61:Bed too soft for us.

Review 67:Location, amenities, grat breakfast
Review 68:Suboptimal after dark street signage on finding the place.
Review 69:Location, pricing, peace, quiet, and cleanliness; also nice fellow guests at breakfast. Thank you for the early bird breakfast services.
Review 70:The mansion is absolutely gorgeous-we stayed in May and the spring flowers made the whole area even more charming. The staff are very helpful and friendly, however, they do not try to intrude. The breakfast was delicious and arrived quickly. The bed was delightfully comfy and the room was spacious. THis is a special place to stay in Bethlehem with a great location too!
Review 71:We only had time for one night.
Review 72:The people are always kind and attentive. The arrival cookies were yummy! Even though it was a last minute booking and we arrived late on a holiday they were gracious. Very comfortable beds and sheets. Gorgeous mansion.
Review 73:Everything and everyone were exceptional. Even the other guests. Jeanie the person on duty was great, helpful, and made some fresh coffee for me and others who were arriving late in the afternoon. My entire experience was the best. Robert, Darien, CT
Review 74:We didn't get the jacuzzi tub because it was not available like it said on your website. The tv was too small for how far away from the bed it was.
Review 75:The room was spacious. The staff was friendly.
Review 76:Loved the house & the staff, the breakfast was delicious! We weren't rushed, we were able to sit & talk with our 2nd cup if coffee. Staff not only gave us directions we needed, they printed them for us. We will definitely return.
Review 77:I thought the toilet paper was poor quality. It disintegrates. Other than that all was excellent
Review 78:The accomadations and staff was wonderful. The breakfast was why we love B&B's so much.
Review 79:…well, if you really want to know… the Christmas decorations! I know that there are probably some laws out there saying "No,natur-ale!" but anyway I'd do it differently (and don't ask me over there to direct) So, there it is!!!
Review 80:We enjoyed the warm comfort of the room & bed! Also, such beauty every where you look. And the wonderfulness of the staff to be there on Christmas to boot! (Santa's boots were the only thing missing!)
Review 81:The bathroom could have been, should have been cleaner. I know thedifference between taking a towel & wiping down surfaces Vs. Soap, water, and bleach. Unfortunately, past guests who used hair spray got iton the bathroom door. Past experience proves it will be impossible toremove. Lots of 19th century wood work with multiple surfaces &crevices full of dust; hope Sayre has an annual turnout of all rooms. Tvremote batteries should be checked/replaced more frequently.
Review 82:The warm reception we received from Jean on arrival. She helped us withour luggage, made a dinner reservation for us, and made sure we werecomfortably situated after our horrendous drive thru the snow to reachBethlehem. Despite my "What didn't you like?" comments, all in all a very good experience - we will stay there again.
Review 83:A little tricky getting into the Carriage house parking. The regular lot is fine.
Review 84:The Inn is extremely quaint and beautifully decorated for the holidays. It is an old mansion build in the 1850's but is in great condition. The breakfasts are great and the staff is very friendly. We had a suite in the Carriage house which was amazing. Two rooms with a fireplace and a Christmas tree.
Review 85:There was nothing I didn't like, okay, maybe the industrial view. But inn was great!
Review 86:The attentive service, the ambience, room comfort and cleanliness. I would recommend this to friends.
Review 87:I cannot think of a thing!
Review 88:We had one of the lower priced rooms but it was so beautiful andcomfortable. The inn itself is a historic mansion with wonderful commonrooms, views over the city, delicious breakfasts, and friendly, accommodating staff. I would stay here again anytime.
Review 89:Mattress was concave, but we still had a restful sleep. The directions that the staff provided were wrong in almost every case, including the website and handouts provided at the desk.
Review 90:The Sayre Mansion was very well maintained and beautiful. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast was delicious, especially the fruit salad. Large room and bathroom. We were on the "bridge side" of the house and the noise was much less than expected on such a busy road.
Review 91:We were warmly received at this beautiful property. Everyone worked hardto make us feel comfortable at all times. We stayed in a suite in thecoach house that was perfect for our family with a small child. Thegrounds of the mansion are lovely. The breakfasts were sumptuous. Wereally enjoyed staying at the Sayre Mansion.
Review 92:The noise from the child staying in the room above who kept running backand forth....something silly, the water bottle was empty upon arrival and we had to put the new bottle on the stand...it was funny there was 1 tissue left in the box, little toilet paper on roll..it was like we were at home!
Review 93:The room itself was very nice, lots of nice features, the fridge, tvs,the fireplace, heaters in every room
Review 94:The breakfast could have been bigger portions, my husband was still hungry after his omlet, which did not come with hash browns. The scones were delicious. But overall, the breakfast itself was on the small size for a B & B, compared to others that we have stayed at. The other thing was that when we left for the daty, I hung the " service requested" sign outside the door. I dont know if the wind blew it, but it was on its side when we came back and the room was not cleaned at all, We came back around 5 pm. When I called over to the main house to repoert that we did not have the room cleaned, the woman was apologetic and came over with fresh towels, but that was it, I had to make the bed up myself.
Review 95:The woman who checked us in was very nice, polite, and very helpful. I am sorry that I do not recall her name, as she was so helpful with a resturant suggestion ( it was great !) and then printed out driving directions. The suite was wonderful, and I just loved the whirlpool bath and complimentary toileteries. The plush beddign was so comfortable, and it was very nice having a mini fridge
Review 96:I wish there were handicapped accessible options to get to the higher floors.
Review 97:The service was impeccable and I love the overall look of the facility
Review 98:Breakfast is wonderful. Didn't get a chance to have dinner but it looked wonderful. Hoping to come back and enjoy a longer stay.
Review 99:Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Broken in a little to much... needs to be replaced.
Review 100:Breakfast was superb
Review 101:A traditional hotel, quite different from modern hotels. Good experience. Clean, comfortable and nice breakfast.
Review 102:The staff was not so warm with the guests.
Review 103:Too close to the road so there was noise
Review 104:Pleasant staff and a well apportioned room
Review 105:Nice, quiet, quaint place that let us relax after energy-filled, busy days of work and leisure.
Review 106:nothing, I stayed one night and it was great
